Vernon Hills Sectional Preview
Stevenson is looking for a return trip to the state meet in 2005, and they have one of the top players in the state in Terri Bukofzer who can lead them there. The Patriots also feature a strong starting lineup with Katie Michelau, Jesse Shopiro, Sam Gibson, Sarah Boedecker, and Aubrey Wanland all in the mix. They Patriots have also shutout second-seeded Mundelein 8-0 earlier in the year.

Mundelein could take on Prospect/Wheeling in the semifinals in what could be one of the better matchups of the tournament. The Mustangs, led by Siobhan Larsen and Dhara Pandya, have yet to face the Wild Knights this year, and Patti Blatter and Liz Dix are a tough pair on the defensive end and could help P/W advance to the sectional final.

Libertyville has had a strong year, led by Rachel Sparks and Nicole Coton, but they will need to face an improving Lake Forest team in the opening round. Joy Corona and Kaitlyn Osborn have the Scouts ready to pull off a potential first-round upset. The winner of that game will have the daunting task of facing Stevenson in the semifinals.
