(1) St Ignatius 20 (4) Lane 5

Brendan Moore scored 4 goals and Brayden Amendola and Mark Alvarado each scored 3 times as St Ignatius defeated Lane 20-5 on Friday.

(2) Latin 17 (3) Young 16

Latin outscored Young 11-6 in the second half to earn a come-from-behind victory in the semifinals of the UIC Sectional on Friday night. Trailing 10-6 at halftime, the Romans emerged from halftime break with a 6-2 run in the third quarter to tie the score at 12-12, then pulled ahead in the final period and held on for the win. AJ Galainena scored 7 goals and Jacob Himmel added 6 scores in the victory for Latin.

Saturday, May 16

Finals

(1) St Ignatius 14 (2) Latin 10

Aidan Fowler, Brendan Moore, Giovanni Wrobel, and Mark Alvarado each scored 3 times to help lift St Ignatius to a state berth after earning a 14-10 victory over Latin. AJ Galainena totaled 5 goals and 3 assists in the loss for the Romans.
