Andrew Peterson, Chris Jenkins and the rest of the Latin Romans look
to get coach Tom Nystrom to state in his final season with the program
Latin is the heavy favorite in the UIC sectional this weekend, as they have the talent to get head coach Tom Nystrom to the state tournament in his final season with the Romans. John Wickes is the main offensive threat, but Chris Jenkins, Andrew Peterson, Jordan Himmel and goalie Henry Fyfe can help Latin get through this bracket. Young and St Ignatius are the main challenges, as the teams will likely meet in the semifinals on Friday. St Ignatius has upset potential, as they did knock off St Pats earlier this season. They have young talent in Brian Jucas, Aaron Hecht, and Matt Middleton that can make them a tough opponent. Latin will meet a team from the Chicago Public League in their semifinal, as they play the winner of the Lane-Northside Prep matchup.
