Henry Yavitt scored 3 goals and drew 2 penalty shots while Charlie Ryan
scored 2 goals and Cole Maziel blocked 2 penalty shots to help the
Trevians hang on to beat GBS 8-7. Brendan Chang and Richard Poma both
scored 2 goals and Brian Johnson made 16 saves in the losing effort.

Bryan McNitt recorded 4 goals while both Andrew Brozovic and Collin
O'Donnell each scored 2 times in the Griffins' 12-8 win over LWC.

Lyons 14 Brother Rice 7
George Lundgren and Sam Szczepaniak combined to score 8 goals to lead
the Lions to a 14-7 win over Brother Rice.
METEA VALLEY SECTIONAL

Nick Walker scored 5 goals and Kent Emden made 17 saves in the Redhawks'
14-8 win over Naperville North. Kyle Jackson and Philip Emden each added
3 scores in the winning effort. Jon Jon Pettinger tallied 4 goals while
Cole Jacobs and Matt Magee each put in 2 scores in the loss.
ST IGNATIUS SECTIONAL
St Ignatius 14 Whitney Young 6
Shane Hughes recorded 6 goals and Andreas Christy scored 5 times in the
Wolfpack's 14-6 triumph over Whitney Young. Gus Enger, Jack Dunn and
Theo Mossman each added one score while Sam Enger made 12 saves for the
winners. Ben Liu scored 3 goals, Josh Escasa put in 2 scores and Duncan
McDonald put in one score in the losing effort.
YORK SECTIONAL
York 10 Fenwick 9
Jordan Jopes scored 3 goals, Nik Miklyukh and Tim Evely each scored 2
goals and Tim Delaney scored the game-winner as the Dukes held on to
beat Fenwick 10-9. Kyle Poland scored 3 goals and Conor Hendzel notched
2 scores in the loss for the Friars. Fenwick had taken an 8-6 lead in
the second half before York put together a 4-0 run to take a 10-8 lead
into the final few minutes of regulation. Noah Groll scored once in the
final minute but the Friars could not find an equalizer and the Dukes
advanced to the state tourney.
BUFFALO GROVE SECTIONAL
Stevenson 15 Highland Park 2
Allison Travetto scored 8 goals, Claire Haas netted 3 scores and Lauren
Burns blocked 10 shots in the Patriots' 15-2 win over HP. Amelia
Eastman, Fiona Gaffney, Lauren Maloney and Tanya Shkiler each scored
once for the victors. Natalie Gelberg scored both goals and Abbey Hodges
made 8 saves in the loss for the Lady Giants.
FREMD SECTIONAL
Conant 7 Fremd 6
Olivia Konieczny scored the game-winning goal with :35 left in
regulation to send the Cougars past the Vikings 7-6. Paulina Chowaniec
(4 steals) and Sam Wooley combined to scored 4 goals while Lea Cejvan
and Hannah Lukas scored once in the win. Cam Rosas also made 16 saves in
the win. Becca Rutkowski and Sarah Coombes each scored 3 goals in
the loss.

Lauren Barrett and Sarah Caywood both recorded 2 goals as the Trevians
used a solid defensive effort to get past Evanston 5-3.

Jenny Stelnicki and the Wolfpack defense earned a shutout as the hosts
blanked Young 12-0 to advance to the state tournament.

Fenwick 12 Oak Park 9 (OT)
The Friars earned a 12-9 comeback win over Oak Park in overtime to
advance to the state tournament. Kelly Frumkin scored two straight goals
in the extra session, including the game-winner, while Jillian Wickham
and Catie Wallace both scored once to seal the win. Jilly Cronin scored
5 goals, Genevieve Curry put in 3 scores and drew 4 ejections and
Kaitlyn Peterson made 7 saves in the losing effort.
