Prospect scored the game-tying
goal with one second left in overtime on a penalty shot to send the game
to sudden-death, where they rode their momentum to a 10-9 win over Elk
Grove on Monday night. Will Schiavone scored the game-winner with 1:35
left in the second overtime to send the Knights to the quarterfinal round.
Hersey 10
Meadows 6
Steve Petro tallied 5 goals and
Samuel Cotey added 2 scores as Hersey knocked off Meadows 10-6 on Tuesday.
Colin Buscarino scored 3 times and Kevin Fitzsimons put in 2 goals in the
loss for the Mustangs.
GBN Sectional
Niles West 15
Maine West 4
Ryan Miller scored 5 goals and
Max Romanelli stopped 14 shots as Niles West earned their first-ever
playoff win by beating Maine West 15-4. Fillip Zivkovic led the way on the
defensive end for the Wolves with 7 steals. Joe Heinz scored 2 goals in
the loss for the Warriors.
LWN Sectional
LWC 22 LWW 12
Jacob Bernard scored 6 goals and
both Matt Duda and Petar Jackovich recorded 4 scores in LWC's 22-12 win
over LWW in a play-in game on Tuesday.
LWN 15 Bremen

Jake Roberts and Trevor Kubik
both scored 4 times and Corey Lewis and Kenny Witt each registered 2
scores as LWN defeated Bremen 15-8 on Tuesday. Mike Doyle also made 10
saves in the win for the Phoenix.
Lyons Sectional
Richards 22 Lindblom 7
Eric Lyons scored 7 goals and
Jon Pudinoff totaled 6 scores as the Bulldogs' duo helped lift Richards
past Lindblom 22-7. Marty Uzzardo added 3 scores in the win for Richards.
Marshawn Shelton scored 3 times in the loss for the Eagles.

Argo 6
Mark Haiser scored 7 times,
David Ramirez recorded 6 goals, and Mark Kelly tallied 5 goals as the trio
provided the bulk of the scoring as Shepard beat Argo 20-6.
Vernon Hills Sectional
Buffalo Grove 13 Vernon Hills 4
Ian Rodriguez and Matt O'Rourke
each tallied 5 goals to lead Buffalo Grove to a 13-4 victory over Vernon
Hills. Nick Flynn also put in 2 scores for the Bison.
