GAME PREVIEWS (Friday, May 9)

CSL TOURNAMENT

The Central Suburban League's conference tournament kicks off on Wednesday with three quarterfinal round games; New Trier earned an opening-round bye while Evanston, Maine East and Niles West are not involved due to a previously scheduled tournament. The event continues on Thursday with the consolation round, followed by Friday's semifinals and Saturday's championship game. The Trevians beat GBS to claim the coveted title in 2013.

CPS TOURNAMENT

The CPS Tournament got underway with last Saturday's play-in games and continues throughout Week 9; the quarterfinal round on Tuesday narrows the field and eventually leads to Friday's title game. Curie will look to defend their city title after they knocked off Whitney Young in last year's championship game.

WSC TOURNAMENT
The Lions will look to repeat as West Suburban Conference champions this weekend, but they will face a handful of challenges from the likes of Hinsdale Central, Hinsdale South, Morton, Oak Park, and York. The proceedings begin on Friday with two quarterfinal games between Morton-York and HC-HS, followed by the semifinal round on Saturday morning. The title game gets underway between the two semifinal round winners at 12:45pm in Elmhurst.

GAME PREVIEWS (Friday, May 9)

CSL TOURNAMENT

The Central Suburban League's conference tournament gets underway early in the week with one play-in game and continues throughout the week until a champion is crowned on Saturday morning. New Trier and Evanston earned the top two seeds, respectively, but there are several contenders with high hopes aiming for their first-ever league title. New Trier beat Maine South 8-6 in last year's title game.

CPS TOURNAMENT

The CPS Tournament got underway with last Saturday's play-in games and continues throughout Week 9; the quarterfinal round on Wednesday narrows the field and eventually leads to Friday's title game. Young edged Lane 6-5 in last year's title game, but this year's event features several teams that could make a strong claim for the city championship.

MCAC TOURNAMENT
The Catholic League Tournament starts on Friday with three quarterfinal round games, with the winners joining Fenwick on Saturday morning for the semifinal round. The Friars earned a bye after a perfect MCAC season, but there could be a few surprises in store in an event that saw St Ignatius beat Fenwick in the semifinals before the Wolfpack lost to Mother McAuley in the title game. Who will walk out of this epic event with the highly-coveted Catholic League crown?

OTHER KEY GAMES
