Lane 13 Jones-Payton 8

Mark Gullickson recorded 5 goals to lead the Indians past Jones-Payton 13-8 in the CPS' third-place game on Friday. Will Macellaio scored 4 times in the loss for the Eagles.

 

 

New Trier 12 Niles West 8

Henry Yavitt scored 3 goals and Danilo Scekic and Will Kohr both netted 2 goals as the Trevians pulled away from Niles West in the second half to earn a 12-8 win. The teams were tied at 4-4 at the half before the top-seeded Trevians secured the victory.

 

Glenbrook South 14 Evanston 4

Peter Dales scored 6 goals, Richard Poma notched 3 scores and both Brendan Chang and Tommy Hagerty put in 2 goals as the Titans beat Evanston 14-4 to advance to the CSL title game. Brian Johnson stopped 10 shots as well for the victors. Thomas Fies recorded 3 goals in the loss for the Wildkits.

 

 

Oak Park 19 Morton 7

Lawrence Cozzi scored 4 goals and Kevin Obrecht made 6 saves and totaled 4 assists as the Huskies got past Morton 19-7.

 

 

Lincoln-Way Central 7 Lincoln-Way North 6

Cody Torres scored 4 times, Matt Klock notched 2 scores and Jake Burke stopped 15 shots and a 5m as the Knights edged LWN 7-6.

 

Lockport 5 Stagg 4

Eric Krawczyk tallied 3 scores and both Ian Greenway and Matt Zalesko scored once as the Porters held off Stagg 5-4. Lucas Smiarowski scored 2 goals and Tommy Witek dished out 4 assists in the loss for the Chargers.

 


 

 

Evanston 6 Highland Park 4

Riley Hughes scored the game-winning goal early in the fourth quarter and later added a key insurance goal as the Wildkits fought off a strong challenge from Highland Park to emerge with a 6-4 win on Friday. Evanston led 4-1 at the half but second half goals from Natalie Gelberg and Danni Cole helped the Lady Giants get to within one score of the Wildkits. Hughes scored in the final minute to seal the victory. Becca Schumm, Christina Schumm, Lana Wolff and Stephanie Sheikh each scored once in the win. Molly Solem and Emma Gelberg also scored one goal in the loss for HPHS.

 

 

St Ignatius 10 Resurrection 2

Jenny Stelnicki and the Wolfpack defense limited Resurrection to a pair of goals as top-seeded SICP beat Resurrection 10-2 to advance to the conference tournament semifinals.

 

Fenwick 13 Loyola 8

The Friars broke a 5-5 halftime deadlock and outscored Loyola 8-3 in the second half to emerge with a 13-8 victory on Friday. The hosts advanced to the event's semifinal round against top-seed St Ignatius.

 

Mother McAuley 11 Marian 0

The Mighty Macs scored eleven straight goals in the opening period before emerging with an 11-0 victory over Marian.

 

 

Conant 16 Libertyville 4

Hannah Lukas and 4 steals in the Cougars' 16-4 win over Libertyville. Chowaniec also drew 7 ejections while Wooley led the defense with 5 steals. Sara Clark scored 2 goals, Hannah Mendrella and Jess Lanty each scored once and Maddie Bollinger made 21 saves in the loss for the hosts.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 9 STC East 8

Emily Mathews totaled 4 goals and Eliza Sykes saved 19 shots in the Vikings' 9-8 triumph over STC East.

 

Lincoln-Way North 17 Lincoln-Way Central 6

Julia Porco registered 5 goals, Cassidy Degraff scored 4 times and Jess Larson netted 3 goals to help the Phoenix earn a 17-6 victory over LWC. Reis Parkinson and Sarah Jackson both scored 2 goals and Paige Ruffner added one score in the winning effort.

 

Lincoln-Way West 14 Andrew 8

The Warriors earned a 14-8 victory over Andrew to wrap up the SWSC season for both teams. Stats were not available for the victors. Alexys Knight notched 3 scores, Jessica Gomez scored 2 times and the trio of Bailey Murphy, Halle Swieringa and Lauren Herald all scored once in the loss for the T-Bolts.

 

Sandburg 9 Lincoln-Way East 5

Clare Lawlor totaled 3 goals and 3 assists and Morgan Bartelment made 7 saves and earned 8 steals as the Eagles defeated LWE 9-5. Bella Wrobel and Mara O'Connor both notched 2 scores while Tara Maher and Vaia Makris both tallied one score for the winners. Nicole McCabe led the Griffins with 3 goals and both Abby Olivieri and Caroline Heathcock scored once in the losing effort.
