The Hawks and Mustangs meet less than a week after Hoffman's 7-6 overtime win in the MSL Crossover Round. The two teams should be in for another thriller on Monday night, with the winner advancing to play top-seeded Barrington on Wednesday.

MUNDELEIN SECTIONAL

4:30pm Vernon Hills vs Deerfield

Top-seeded Mundelein awaits the winner of Monday's Deerfield-Vernon Hills matchup; the Warriors seek their first win in team history in their inaugural season, while the Cougars have a bit more postseason experience and a few wins under their belts in 2013. Which team will extend their season with a crucial playoff win?

4:30pm STC East vs Hinsdale South

The Hornets and Saints get together for a rematch of their late-April contest for the right to face top-seed Naperville North on Wednesday. The Hornets won the only regular season meeting between the teams by an 11-7 margin on April 23. Who will get the upper-hand this time around with the season on the line?

UIC SECTIONAL

4:30pm Latin vs DeLaSalle

Two winless teams meet in the play-in round of the UIC Sectional when Latin and DeLaSalle get together; whichever team secures their first win of 2013 earns the reward of a matchup with top-seeded St Ignatius in the quarterfinal round.

Hoffman 7 Meadows 6

The Hawks built an early 5-2 lead and held off a late Mustangs' rally to earn a 7-6 win to advance to the sectional quarterfinal round. The Hawks will take on Barrington on Wednesday at the Fremd Sectional.

MUNDELEIN SECTIONAL

Vernon Hills 17 Deerfield 4

Lauren Wood totaled 8 goals as the Cougars earned a comfortable 17-4 victory over winless Deerfield on Monday night to advance to the sectional quarterfinals. Vernon Hills will face Mundelein on Wednesday night in their home pool.

NEUQUA SECTIONAL

STC East 10 Hinsdale South 2

The Saints got a bit of revenge by beating Hinsdale South 10-2 when it mattered most in the sectional play-in game on Monday night, less than two weeks after losing to the Hornets 11-7. STC East will play Naperville North in the sectional quarterfinals on Wednesday.

UIC SECTIONAL

Latin 15 DeLaSalle 2

The Romans earned their first win of the 2013 when they needed it most, getting past DeLaSalle 15-2 in the play-in round of the UIC Sectional. The victors advance to take on top-seeded St Ignatius later this week in the quarterfinal round.
