Tournament Preview
Deerfield seeks their first win against a conference
opponent when they match up with one-win Highland Park on Thursday night
in the play-in round of the CSL Tournament. The winner takes on top-seed
New Trier in Friday's first quarterfinal, followed by a contest between
GBN and Maine East in the second game of the evening. The other side of
the bracket showcases Maine South-Maine West and Evanston-GBS, with the
two winners advancing to the semifinal round and the losing teams playing
in Saturday's consolation round. The championship round begins at 1:00pm
with the title game being played at 3:00pm.

Friday, May 3
New Trier 22 Highland Park 0
Alexana Astor and Samantha Padavic each scored 4 times and both Kara
Lucenti and Kelsey Willian put in 3 goals in New Trier's 22-0 win over
Highland Park.
GBN 8 Maine East 7
Lindsay Fraser totaled 4 goals and Vladi Mulitinovic notched 2 scores in
the Spartans 8-7 win over Maine East. Maria Protic totaled 3 scores,
Medina Husejnovic added 2 goals, and Isabelle Trier blocked 27 shots in
the narrow loss for the Blue Demons.
Maine South 15 Maine West 4
Anne Marie Pavlis and Jenna Zitkus each scored 3 goals to lead Maine South
to a 15-4 victory over Maine West. Emily Morrison scored 3 times in the
loss for the Warriors.
Evanston 6 GBS 5
Yasi Nassiri scored 3 goals to help Evanston beat GBS 6-5 on Friday night.
Karissa McBride also scored 2 goals in the Wildkits' win. Anne Edwards led
the Titans with 3 scores in the losing effort.
Saturday, May 4
Maine East 11 Highland Park 4
Maria Protic totaled 4 goals and both Medina Husejnovic and Sandra
Kietlinska recorded 2 goals to lead the Blue Demons past Highland Park
11-4. Amanda Roddy and Christina Peter each added one goal in the win for
East. Maddie Gelberg led the Giants with 2 scores in the loss.
Glenbrook North 7 Maine West 3
Anne Edwards and Maggie Dietrich both tallied 3 scores to lead GBN past
Maine West 7-3. Carly Romano scored 3 times in the loss for the Warriors.
New Trier 17 Glenbrook North 5
Alexana Astor scored 5 times and Kelsey Willian put in 4 goals as New
Trier beat GBN 17-5 to advance to the CSL title game. Kara Lucenti,
Samantha Padavic, and Shannon Kent each tallied 2 scores in the win. Vladi
Milutinovic recorded 3 goals in the losing effort for North.
Maine South 10 Evanston 5
Anne Marie Pavlis, Jenna Zitkus, and Tyler Gooding each scored 2 goals to
lift Maine South over Evanston 10-5 in the semifinals of the CSL
Tournament. Yasi Nassiri tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Wildkits.
Maine East 6 Glenbrook South 4 (OT)
Maria Protic recorded 4 goals and Isabelle Trier saved 3 penalty shots to
help the Blue Demons outlast GBS 6-4 in overtime on Saturday in the
fifth-place game of the CSL Tournament. Maggie Dietrich led the Titans
with 2 goals in the losing effort.
Evanston 8 Glenbrook North 3
Yasi Nassiri totaled 4 goals and both Honore Collins and Karissa McBride
scored 2 times as Evanston got past GBN 8-3 in the third-place game of the
CSL Tournament. Olivia Everhart also made 12 saves in the win for the
Wildkits. Molly Orbon recorded 2 goals and Kerry Goodspeed made 15 saves
in the loss for the Spartans.
New Trier 8 Maine South 6
Alexana Astor and Lindsey Siegel both contributed 3 goals and Hannah
Caywood blocked 15 shots to lead New Trier to an 8-6 victory over Maine
South in the title game of the Central Suburban League Tourney. Kelsey
Willian and Samantha Padavic each netted one goal in the Trevians' win.
Ronnie Coyne totaled 2 scores and Anne Marie Pavlis, Giles Malloy, Iza
Matczuk, and Jenna Zitkus each scored once in the loss.
