TOURNAMENT RECAP (May 3-4)
Tournament Preview
The Central Suburban League features two play-in games that will help finalize
Friday's quarterfinal round setup. Deerfield seeks their first win against a
conference opponent when they face Glenbrook North at 4:30pm, followed by a
battle between Highland Park and Maine East that will determine who will face
top seed New Trier on Friday. The four quarterfinal round games will be played
on Friday night, followed by Saturday's consolation and championship
bracket semifinals and culminating with the championship round beginning
at 1:00pm.

Friday, May 3
New Trier 14 Maine West 5
Ben Sussman, Maros Petro, Matt Connell, Matt Weiser, Jason Bartha, and
Joey Ryan each scored 2 times in New Trier's 14-5 win over Maine West.
Maine South 17 Evanston 14
Makai DeNeve-Arnam totaled 5 goals and Kyle Christie put in 3 scores as the
Hawks beat Evanston 17-14 to advance to the CSL semifinals. Kameron
Simmons-Gill scored 6 tiimes in the loss for the Wildkits.
Glenbrook North 10 Niles West 9
Robby Liberman and Patrick Krol both scored 3 goals to help GBN upset
Niles West 10-9. Liberman put in the game-winning goal with less than two
minutes left in regulation for the Spartans. Max Romanelli tallied 3
scores in the loss for the Wolves.
Glenbrook South 15 Maine East 6
Danny Correa scored 4 goals and Brant Boczek netted 3 scores in the
Titans' 15-6 win over Maine East.
Saturday, May 4
Evanston 15 Maine West 12
Sergi Lopez Maymo scored 5 goals and both Judah Anolick and Kameron
Simmons-Gill scored 2 times as Evanston defeated Maine West 15-12.
Maine East 9 Niles West 5
Krystof Maniewski recorded 3 goals and Tom Klein put in 2 scores to lead
Maine East past Niles West 9-5 on Saturday morning.
New Trier 14 Maine South 7
The Trevians advanced to the CSL finals by getting past Maine South 14-7
in the first semifinal game of the day.
Glenbrook South 14 Glenbrook North 4
The Titans earned a 14-4 victory over GBN, as they advanced to the CSL
title game to take on New Trier.
Evanston 13 Maine East 11 (5th place)
The Wildkits outlasted Maine East 13-11 to win the fifth-place game of the
CSL Tournament.
Maine South 19 Glenbrook North 5
Makai DeNeve-Arnam totaled 6 goals and Ryan Pattullo scored 3 times in the
Hawks' 19-5 victory over GBN in the third-place game on Saturday. Patrick
Krol scored 2 goals in the loss for the Spartans.
New Trier 16 Glenbrook South 6
Jordan Palmer recorded 5 goals and Joey Ryan and Matt Weiser each scored 3
times as New Trier built an early 10-1 lead en route to a 16-6 victory
over GBS in the CSL Tournament's title game. John Schulz also scored 2
times in the Trevians' win. Jake Nelson scored 4 goals and Seamus Heneghan
and Bob Meyer both scored once in the losing effort.
