Ezekiel Watts scored 7 goals to lead the Mustangs to a 14-10 victory over
Juarez on Wednesday.
MSL PLAYOFFS
Conant 9 Wheeling 6
Alan Wojciechowski totaled 4 goals in the Cougars' 9-6 triumph over
Wheeling in the MSL's third-place contest. Conant used a 3-0 run in the
game's final five minutes to pull away from the Wildcats, who had put
together their own 4-0 run to tie the game midway through the fourth
quarter. Austin Ihde led the Wheeling with 4 scores and Noah Ihde made 17
saves and blocked 2 penalty shots in the losing effort.
Hoffman 17 Prospect 9
Adam Pasnicki recorded 7 goals, Sang Han netted 4 scores, and Steven
Jatich added 3 goals as Hoffman downed Prospect for seventh-place in the
MSL conference playoffs. Cam Maur, Nate Ginnodo, and Mike Morikado each
tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Knights.
Palatine 21 Elk Grove 5
Christian Kalfas notched 8 scores and Omar El-Hoffi added 7 goals as
Palatine cruised to a 21-5 win over Elk Grove to grab ninth place in the
MSL playoffs. Peter Blackham also totaled 14 blocks and 5 assists in the
Pirates' victory. Charlie Modrich led the Grenadiers with 2 scores in the
loss.
Schaumburg 19 Hersey 4
Randy Carr poured in 11 goals and Marty Faleni blocked 9 shots as
Schaumburg rolled to a 19-4 victory over Hersey for fifth-place in the MSL
playoffs. Marty Kwiatkowski and Patrick Halpin each netted 2 goals in the
win for the Saxons. Mike Kintzle and Tom Cotey were among four players
that scored once for the Huskies.
GIRLS
Fenwick 13 Fremd 9
Cara Borkovec, Colleen Barron, and Maureen Barron each scored 3 times in
Fenwick's 13-9 victory over Fremd on Tuesday night in Oak Park. The
second-ranked Friars trailed by a goal entering the final quarter but
utilized a 6-0 run to pull away from the fourth-ranked Vikings. Alexa
Ovalle chipped in with 2 scores and Borkovec and Mackenzie Bonk combined
to save 11 shots for the Friars. Sam Matuszewski scored 3 goals and both
Amy McEllen and Erika Wickstrom tallied 2 scores in the loss for the
Vikings. Julie Conrath also totaled 18 blocks in the losing effort.
Lake Forest 13 Deer Park 7
Emily Nowlin registered 8 goals and Norie Kaufmann tacked on 4 scores as
the Scouts closed out their regular season campaign with a 13-7
non-conference win over Deer Park.

Sofi Prorok scored 6 goals and Grace Culver added 4 scores in the Huskies'
19-2 victory over Hinsdale South. Taylor Field added 2 scores in the
winning effort for North. Emma Smoczynski and Kelsey Barry each tallied

Jamie Pappanastos scored 9 goals in the Eagles' 13-3 triumph over Neuqua
Valley.
MSL PLAYOFFS
Barrington 6 Buffalo Grove 3
Brooke Fanslow and the Barrington defense limited Buffalo Grove to just
three goals in a 6-3 victory in the MSL's third-place game on Tuesday
night.
Conant 12 Prospect 11 (OT)
Andie Cobb scored the game-winning goal in overtime as Conant stunned
Prospect for fifth place in the MSL's playoff competition on Tuesday. Cobb
scored 6 times and Kristi Burke added 4 scores in a see-saw battle that
entered the fourth quarter tied at 9-9. Jessica Cavaiani recorded 6 goals
and Kallie Shields put in 3 scores for the Knights in the loss.
Hersey 4 Schaumburg 2
Allison Williams, Hannah Johnstone, Karolina Szymaszek,
and Stefanie Kintzle all recorded one goal as Hersey held off Schaumburg
4-2 to claim seventh-place in the MSL playoffs on Tuesday. The Huskies led
3-1 at the break and held the Saxons scoreless in the final period to earn
the victory. Casey Houts and Rachel Fish each tallied one goal in the loss
for Schaumburg.
Hoffman 8 Meadows 7 (OT)
Corey Liang and Faith Sheeley each netted 2 goals as the Hawks edged the
Mustangs 8-7 in extra time in Tuesday's eleventh-place game in the MSL
playoffs. Jessica Dykstra notched 3 scores in the losing effort for
Meadows.
