CONANT TOURNAMENT

Neuqua Valley 8 Niles West 5

Joey Dalesandro and Zach Dilger both scored 3 goals and Jordan Beck made 8 saves as the Wildcats got past Niles West 8-5 in the championship round of the event. Brandon Gorski and JP Leshock each added one goal while Troy Salafatinos drew 3 ejections for the winners, who outscored the Wolves 3-0 in the final period en route to the win.

 

Lincoln-Way North 13 Neuqua Valley 12

Jason Parkinson recorded 5 goals and Mike Laughlin scored 3 times as the Phoenix made a key stop on Neuqua Valley's final possession to secure a 13-12 victory to win the Conant Tournament. Zach Dilger, Adam McGovern and Troy Salafatinos each scored 3 goals and Joey Dalesandro scored 2 goals in the losing effort.

 

 

STEVENSON TOURNAMENT

New Trier 10 Oak Park 1

Charlie Ryan totaled 3 goals and Henry Yavitt scored 2 times as the Trevians earned a 10-1 victory over Oak Park. Lawrence Cozzi scored one goal and Kevin Obrecht made 10 saves in the loss for the Huskies.

 

Fenwick 13 Palatine 3

Conor Hendzel registered 3 scores and Chez Daggs scored 2 goals in the Friars' 13-3 win over Palatine.

 

Loyola 7 Brother Rice 3

Matt Merucci and Michael Considine both scored 2 goals to lead the Ramblers past Brother Rice 7-3.

 

Naperville Central 11 Stevenson 6

Nick Walker poured in 6 goals and Brian Calabrese added 2 scores as the Redhawks pulled away from the Patriots in the second half to earn an 11-6 victory. The teams were tied at 5-5 before Walker scored on a lob shot with two seconds left in the first half and Central outscored the hosts 6-1 from that point on to secure the victory. Eric Stablein, Kyle Jackson and Matt Reagan each scored once and Kent Emden made 16 saves in the win. Andrew Shashin scored 2 goals while Cris Tomasetti, Collin Kapecki, Justin Ginsberg and Kurt Holzer each added one score in the losing effort.

 

New Trier 8 Fenwick 7

Danilo Scekic recorded 5 goals to held the Trevians hold off Fenwick 8-7 on Saturday.

 

Oak Park 8 Palatine 7 (OT)

Lawrence Cozzi slammed home the game-winning goal from the left side of 5m to send the Huskies past Palatine 8-7 in sudden-death overtime on Saturday. Cozzi totaled 4 goals, Thomas Wolfe scored 2 times and Kevin Obrecht made 10 saves in the win. Daniel Franklin and Leo Manola also added one goal apiece in the winning effort.

 

Naperville Central 10 Lyons 4

Nick Walker scored 4 goals and both Kyle Jackson and Philip Emden scored 2 times as the Redhawks beat Lyons 10-4 to win the Stevenson Tournament. Brian Calabrese and Eric Stablein each scored once while Kent Emden made 19 saves for the winners.

 

Fenwick 6 Loyola 2

Mickey McGuire scored 2 key second half goals to help the Friars earn a 6-2 victory over Fenwick.

 

Brother Rice 17 Palatine 6

Peter Gurka totaled 4 goals to help lead the Crusaders to a 17-6 victory over Palatine.

 

Lyons 9 Stevenson 6

George Lundgren scored 4 goals and Michael Zahorik and Sam Szczepaniak each tallied 2 scores in the Lions' 9-6 victory over Stevenson. Lyons trailed 3-1 entering the second quarter but put together a quick 3-0 run to take a one-goal halftime lead en route to the win.

 

New Trier 10 Loyola 3

The Crusaders wrapped up a seventh-place finish at the Stevenson Tournament after beating Oak Park 10-4 on Saturday evening. Stats for the winners were unavailable. Lawrence Cozzi notched 2 scores, Alex Lavery and Daniel Franklin each scored once and Kevin Obrecht made 8 saves for the Huskies.

 

 

STC NORTH TOURNAMENT

STC North 12 Wheeling 8

John Quinn recorded 5 goals and the trio of Jack Williams, Nathan Bawolek and Sam Lilly each scored 2 times in the North Stars' 12-8 victory over Wheeling. Garrett Allamian also made 9 saves in the loss for the hosts. Nate Reiff scored 6 times and Jake Noel added 2 goals in the loss for Wheeling.

 

Hersey 13 Vernon Hills 4

Kris Donov and James Lawrence both recorded 3 goals as the Huskies defeated Vernon Hills 13-4. Daniel Greenberg and Daniel Kuzmin each tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Cougars.

 

STC North 7 Metea Valley 3

Nathan Bawolek totaled 5 goals and 5 steals and Garrett Allamian made 7 saves as the North Stars beat Metea Valley 7-3. Jack Williams and Sam Lilly both added one score in the win for the hosts. Ali Tagirov, James Gamilla and Keegan Reilly each scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Bradley 11 Vernon Hills 2

Adam Schroeder, Austin Wray, Anthony Anderson and Jacob Wakeley each scored 2 goals as the Boilers knocked off Vernon Hills 11-2. Daniel Greenberg and Jeffrey Zhang both scored once in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Wheeling 11 Metea Valley 4

Nate Reiff registered 7 scores to lead the Wildcats past Metea Valley 11-4. Jorge Figueroa added 2 goals and both Jake Noel and Kyle Noel scored once in the win. Ashton Howser scored 2 times while Ali Tagirov and Matt Flanders both notched one score in the loss.

 

Bradley 9 Hersey 1

Adam Schroeder registered 3 goals and Austin Wray scored 2 times in the Boilers' 9-1 win over Hersey. Brian Prior scored the lone goal in the loss for the Huskies.

 

Metea Valley 17 Vernon Hills 3

Andrew Eber totaled 6 goals and both Keegan Reilly and Max Chamberlin scored 3 times as the Mustangs beat Vernon Hills 17-3 in the fifth-place game of the event. David Lipan also scored 2 goals for MVHS.

 

Wheeling 10 Hersey 6

Jake Noel recorded 4 goals, Nate Reiff scored 3 times and Kyle Noel scored 2 goals as the Wildcats beat Hersey 10-6 in the event's third-place game. Jack Casey scored 3 times in the loss for the Huskies.

 

STC North 6 Bradley 3

Sam Lilly tallied 3 scores and Nathan Bawolek scored 2 goals as the North Stars beat Bradley 6-3 to win their own event. Jack Williams added one score and Garrett Allamian made 6 saves in the victory. Tristan Ruch notched 2 scores and Andrew Hinterliter tallied one goal in the loss for the Boilers.

 

 

YORK TOURNAMENT

York 12 Maine East 0

Tim Evely scored 3 goals and the trio of Alex Marlott, Jordan Jopes and Luke Nowak each scored 3 times in the Dukes' 12-0 shutout win over Maine East. Parker Hicks and Tim Delaney each added one goal for the winners.

 

Maine East 17 Latin 5

Victor Ponzio registered 5 goals to help lead the Blue Demons past Latin 17-5. Sam Orlin tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Romans.

 

York 17 Young 8

Tim Evely registered 5 scores, Alex Marlott scored 3 times and Danny Stumpf, Jordan Jopes and Parker Hicks each netted 2 goals in the Dukes' 17-8 triumph over Young. Duncan McDonald totaled 5 goals in the losing effort for the Dolphins.

 

Young 9 Maine East 5

Benjamin Liu scored 5 goals and Duncan McDonald netted 3 scores in the Dolphins' 9-5 win over Maine East.

 

York 14 Latin 3

Tim Evely notched 3 scores and Alex Marlott, Jordan Jopes and Parker Hicks each tallied 2 scores in the hosts' 14-3 win over Latin.

 


 

 

 

HOFFMAN TOURNAMENT

Hoffman 10 Metea Valley 9

Jenny Fermaintt and Magdiel Miranda-Lopez each scored 3 goals and Ann Cho tallied 2 scores as the hosts earned a 10-9 victory over Metea Valley. Abby Fuscone and Maggie Rommel both added one goal in the win for the hosts. Alex Cerra and Gabby DuVal each scored 3 times in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Deerfield 16 Metea Valley 6

Katherine Rogers poured in 9 goals, Naomi Willis scored 5 times and Rachel Ward put in 2 goals as the Warriors got past Metea Valley 16-6.

 

Hoffman 7 Lockport 7

Jenny Fermaintt (Hoffman) recorded 5 goals while Kennedy Ruther (Lockport) scored 3 times as the hosts and the Porters finished tied at 7-7 in the event's second game.

 

Lockport 12 Deerfield 9

The Porters claimed their first win of the event by beating Deerfield 12-9. Katherine Rogers notched 6 scores while Naomi Willis tallied 3 scores in the losing effort.

 

Deerfield 9 Hoffman 7

Katherine Rogers scored 7 goals and both Naomi Willis and MacKenzie Michaels scored once to help the Warriors beat Hoffman in come-from-behind fashion to win the event.

 

 

HUDSONVILLE TOURNAMENT

Stevenson 10 Hudsonville 8

Illinois' top-ranked team (Stevenson) traveled to Michigan to beat the Wolverine State's top-ranked team (Hudsonville) 10-8 on Friday afternoon. Allison Travetto recorded 6 goals, Amelia Eastman put in 2 scores and Lauren Burns stopped 12 shots in the winning effort. Eileen Hoang and Tanya Shkiler also netted one goal apiece for SHS.

 

Oak Park 10 Zeeland 1

Genevieve Curry totaled 4 goals and 5 steals while Jilly Cronin tallied 4 goals and dished out 3 assists in the Huskies' 10-1 triumph over Zeeland. Lizzy Silber and Nell Behr each added one goal and Kaitlyn Peterson made 8 saves in the losing effort.

 

Stevenson 10 Pioneer 2

Allison Travetto scored 5 goals, Claire Haas scored 4 times and Lauren Burns made 12 saves to help the Patriots get past Pioneer 10-2. Eileen Hoang also scored once in the win for Stevenson.

 

Hudsonville 10 Oak Park 9

Michigan's top-ranked team edged Oak Park 10-9 on Saturday morning. Genevieve Curry tallied 6 goals and Jilly Cronin added 3 scores in the loss for the Huskies.

 

Oak Park 13 Okemos 8

Genevieve Curry scored 7 goals, Jilly Cronin totaled 3 goals and 6 assists and Kaitlyn Peterson made 13 saves in the Huskies' 13-8 win over Okemos. Addie Steward-Nolan, Kathryn Reader and Tamsen Cronin each scored once in the winning effort.

 

Stevenson 13 Zeeland 4

Allison Travetto netted 9 goals and Lauren Burns made 10 saves in the Patriots' 13-4 win over Zeeland. Claire Haas added 2 goals while Fiona Gaffney and Lauren Maloney each scored once in the win.

 

Stevenson 18 Okemos 7

Allison Travetto recorded 10 goals, Tanya Shkiler scored 3 times and Lauren Burns made 18 saves as the Patriots beat Okemos 18-7 to finish the weekend with a perfect record in Michigan. Claire Haas, Fiona Gaffney, Lauren Maloney, Eileen Hoang and Julia Nicholson each added one goal for the victors.

 

 

YORK TOURNAMENT

Ellie Fitzpatrick and Maggie Schlecht each scored 3 goals and Maria Rantis added 2 goals as the hosts got past Maine East 11-2. Rebecca Koshy and Karolina Maniewski each scored once in the loss for the Blue Demons.

 

Maine East 7 Latin 3

Karolina Maniewski scored 3 goals and Annie Turbak added 2 goals in Maine East's 7-3 win over Latin.

 

York 10 Young 3

Carli York tallied 3 scores and both Aillie Orzak and Maggie Schlecht scored 2 times in the Dukes 10-3 victory over Young.

 

Young 11 Maine East 7

Elizabeth Shumaker scored 4 goals to lead the Dolphins to an 11-7 win over Maine East. Rebecca Koshy and Karolina Maniewski each scored 3 goals in the loss for the Blue Demons.

Amanda Siavelis recorded 5 goals and Grace Achepohl netted 2 scores in the Dukes 13-2 win over Latin.

 

Young 14 Latin 3

Abbie Werner scored 7 times to lead the Dolphins past Latin 14-3.
