Andrew Shashin scored 3 goals and both Collin Kapecki and Kurt Holzer
scored 2 times as the Patriots held off New Trier 8-7 in the event's
opening game. Holzer and Kapecki broke a 6-6 deadlock early in the final
period with Holzer's goal eventually proving to be the game-winner.
Charlie Ryan scored in the final minute to cut the hosts' lead to one,
but the Trevians could not get the equalizer before time ran out. Will
Kohr led the New Trier offense with 2 scores while Ryan, Henry Yavitt,

Park 15-0. Charlie Day earned the shutout victory for the hosts.

Kyle Jackson and Philip Emden each tallied 3 scores while Nick Walker
and Scott Piper both recorded 2 goals in the Redhawks' 11-0 victory over
Palatine. Kent Emden earned the shutout win for Central.

George Lundgren slammed in 5 goals while Armin Korsos and Michael
Zahorik both scored 3 times as LT beat Brother Rice 13-8. Sam
Szczepaniak and Victor Perez both added one goal in the winning effort.
