held off Sandburg 10-8 on Monday night. David Presz, Jacob Speechley, and
Jake Knowles each added one score in the win. Tomas Serrano totaled 4 goals
and Kevin Tunney scored 3 times in the loss for the Eagles.
CPS TOURNAMENT
Payton-Jones 17 Westinghouse 6
Joey Walner totaled 6 goals as the Grizzlies stayed alive in the CPS
Tournament with a 17-6 victory over Westinghouse.

Fremd 14 Maine South 13 (2 OT)
JP French totaled 8 goals and Michael Goedken stopped 17 shots as Fremd
outlasted Maine South 14-13 in sudden-death overtime on Monday in
nonconference play. Matt Kramer and Makai DeNeve-Arnam each scored 5 times
and Kyle Christie notched 3 scores in the loss for the Hawks.
Lincoln-Way Central 14 Lincoln-Way East 7
Alex Smith scored 4 times, Tristan Funk put in 3 goals, and Kyle Forsythe
and Ryan Sterling each netted 2 scores in the Knights' 14-7 triumph over
LWE. Mike Petrizzo also saved 9 shots in the LWC victory.
Lincoln-Way North 17 Lincoln-Way West 12
Curtis Thrun put in 5 goals and Pat Budney notched 3 scores as LWN
outscored LWW 17-12 on Monday in a SWSC Red contest. Kurt Butterfield
scored 9 times in the loss for the Warriors.
Stagg 14 Andrew 9
Ryan Petersen recorded 5 goals, Nick Amendola added 4 scores, and Peter
Krivanec made 14 saves as the Chargers jumped out to an 8-2 halftime lead
en route to a 14-9 win over Andrew. Chuck Walters and Eric Tamulonis both
scored 3 times in the loss for the T-Bolts.
Whitney Young 14 Metea Valley 13
Seth Hughes scored 11 goals, including two scored in the final two minutes
to tie the game, while Dan Shumaker put in a rebound goal with 0:31
remaining as the Dolphins earned a dramatic 14-13 win over Metea Valley on
Monday.
York 13 Lane 11
Alex Waldherr and Matt Rodriguez each scored 4 times as York got past Lane
13-11 in a nonconference contest on Monday. Jake Boettcher totaled 4 goals
and 3 assists and Matt Gullickson and Ricky Quezada both scored 3 times
for the Indians, who led 11-9 midway through the fourth quarter before a
4-0 run by the Dukes helped them earn the victory. Luke Grygo also made 12
saves in the narrow loss for Lane.

Monday in a SWSC Blue contest on Monday night. Alona King also made 10 saves
in the Eagles' hard-fought win.

Megan Hofer totaled 7 goals and 7 assists and Genny McCarthy netted 5
goals as Andre cruised to a 23-3 win over Stagg. Alicia Tebo added 3 goals

led the Chargers with 2 scores in the losing effort.
