BOYS
Andrew 11 Bremen 5
Tony Marino scored 5 times, Arya Mohaimani added 3
scores, and Mikey Wagonblott tallied 2 scores as Andrew beat Bremen 11-5.
Fenwick 18 Waubonsie 10
Will Rigali scored 5 times and John Osborne tacked on 3
scores as the Friars defeated Waubonsie Valley 18-10 on Wednesday.
Lincoln-Way East 17 Neuqua Valley 12
Kenny Hultquist totaled 6 goals to lead the Griffins to
a 17-12 win over Neuqua Valley.
Maine East 18 Morgan Park 17
Mike Mazur tallied 7 goals and Matt Wiegel added 5
scores as Maine East knocked off Morgan Park 18-17.
McHenry 19 Deer Park 5
Reilly Shanahan scored 9 times, Lucas Matthyhs added 3
scores, and Phil Lesniak totaled 2 goals and 6 steals as McHenry topped
Deerfield/Highland Park 19-5 on Wednesday.
Prospect 11 Elk Grove 0
Mike McPartlin registered 5 goals and Brian Johnston
made 13 saves and recorded the first save in Knights' history in
Prospect's 11-0 shutout over Elk Grove to wrap up second place in the MSL
East.
GIRLS
Hinsdale Central 8
Richards 6
Colleen Moran, Genna Heidkamp, and Maggie Alberts all
scored 2 times in the Red Devils' 8-6 win over Richards on Wednesday.
Maine East 20 Morgan Park 5
Natalia Bialecka recorded 7 goals and Sarah Schluga
added 4 scores to help lift Maine East to a 20-5 win over Morgan Park.
Mundelein 14 Highland
Park 5
After a slow start, Mundelein outscored Highland Park
8-2 in the third quarter en rout to a 14-5 win over the Giants on
Wednesday night. Alexis Jones recorded 6 goals and Amy Klink added 2
scores in the win for the Mustangs. Alex Bolling and Mika Hasak each
scored 2 times in the loss for the Giants.
New Trier 8 Latin 3
Erisa Apantaku scored 3 goals, Anna Stern and Sophia
Palmer both notched 2 scores, and Caroline Hoff added one score as the
Trevians earned their second straight win over a ranked opponent this
week, beating Latin 8-3 on Wednesday. Zara Wysockey made 8 saves and Maddy
Urban contributed 6 steals in the win for New Trier. Ashley Henderson,
Emma Gregg, and Emma Hirschman each tallied one goal apiece for the Romans
in the losing effort.
