Fenwick Dominates In
Michigan; LWC Finishes Third
Illinois' top-ranked team traveled to Michigan over the weekend to
win the Rockford Tournament after beating the hosts for the
second-straight weekend and finishing the event with a 4-0 record. They
also beat another Illinois' team, Lincoln-Way Central, in the championship
bracket, after the Knights swept their preliminary-round group after
beating Okemos and Zeeland. The Knights were edged by Rockford, Michigan's
top-ranked team, in a virtual battle for second place earlier in the day.

Danijela Jackovich scored 4 goals and Liz Klock netted 2 scores as the
Knights opened their travels with a 9-2 victory over Zeeland on Friday
night. Cailey Davern, Kristi Howe, and Sam Ford each added one goal in the
win for Central.

Danijela Jackovich recorded 2 goals and both Delaney
Shepard and Michelle Dundek tallied one score as LWC defeated Okemos
4-3 to advance to the championship round of the Rockford Tournament.

Michigan's top-ranked team (Rockford) earned a 9-7 victory over LWC on
Saturday morning in the first-place group of their own event. Danijela
Jackovich scored 4 goals, Beth Senese put in 2 scores, and Liz Klock
notched one score in the loss for the Knights.
Fenwick 13 Lincoln-Way Central 4
The Friars moved one step closer to winning the Rockford Tournament by
beating LWC 13-4 on Saturday. Danijela Jackovich scored 4 goals in the
loss for the Knights.

The Friars beat Michigan's top-ranked team for the second-straight weekend
to win the Rockford Tourney, earning a 10-8 win in the event's title game.
