STEVENSON TOURNAMENT
New Trier 8 Stevenson 2
The Trevians' defense limited the hosts to just two goals as the opened
the tournament with an 8-2 win on Friday. Jordan Palmer scored 3 goals and
Dano Johnson, Jason Bartha, Joey Ryan, John Schulz, and Reid McCullough
each tallied one score in the victory. Mitchell Sokolsky and Remy Dalloul
both scored once in the loss for the hosts.
Fenwick 8 Loyola 6
Danny Farmer, Matt Bresnahan, Tony Perez, and Trevor McLean each scored 2
goals and Tommy McGuire made 8 saves as Fenwick defeated Loyola 8-6.
Cameron Shewchuck led the Ramblers with 2 goals in the losing effort,
while goalie Kyle Strobel blocked 6 shots.
Lyons 11 Naperville Central 1
Joe Shannon recorded 5 goals and Peter Dore netted 3 scores as Lyons
defeated Naperville Central 11-1. Nathan Kriha notched 2 scores and
Michael Dow added one goal in the winning effort. Ryan Donahue put in the
lone goal for the Redhawks in the loss.
New Trier 11 Oak Park 5
The Trevians won their second game of the night by beating Oak Park 11-5
to advance to the first-place group of the Stevenson Tournament. Jordan
Palmer netted 5 goals and Joey Ryan added 4 scores in the win, while Jason
Bartha and Matt Weiser both scored once for the victors. Grant Krueger led
the Huskies with 2 scores, while Kyle Patnode, Lee Werner, and Pavel
Simonovic each scored one goal for OPRF.
Fenwick 10 Palatine 3
Matt Bresnahan recorded 4 goals and Tommy McGuire blocked 15 shots in the
Friars' 15-3 victory over Palatine. Andrew Bertschy, Bailey Wendt, Billy
Golden, Justin White, Ryan Masi, and Tony Perez each put in one goal for
the Friars. Kristian Kalev tallied 2 scores and Christian Kalfas scored
once for the Pirates.
Lyons 8 Brother Rice 2
The top-ranked Lions advanced to Saturday's first-place group with an 8-2
victory over Brother Rice. Joe Shannon registered 6 scores and Peter Dore
netted 2 goals in the win for the Lions. Kevin Mayer scored 2 goals and
Cal Kennedy made 12 saves in the loss for the Crusaders.

ROCKFORD TOURNAMENT
Lincoln-Way Central 9 Zeeland 2
Danijela Jackovich scored 4 goals and Liz Klock netted 2 scores as the
Knights opened their travels with a 9-2 victory over Zeeland on Friday
night. Cailey Davern, Kristi Howe, and Sam Ford each added one goal in the
win for Central.

Taylor Bridgman recorded 4 goals, Jillian Eiken netted 3 scores, and
Taylor Stoner put in 2 goals as North beat Bremen 10-5. Hannah Schultz and
Sarah Minnich each scored 2 times in the loss for Bremen.
Schaumburg 8 Northside 7
Ashley Johnson scored the game-winning goal with two seconds remaining as
Schaumburg beat Northside 8-7 on Friday night in nonconference play.
Britney Vasquez tallied 4 goals, Delaney Houts put in 2 scores, and
Johnson and Krystal Vezzetti each scored once in the victory. Jessica
Sumsky blocked 8 shots in the one-goal victory for the hosts. Jane Patzke
and Meghan Quigley each scored 3 times, Rebecca Chan put in one goal, and
Marti Hale denied 9 shots in the loss for the Mustangs.
