Lockport 14 Latin 6

Eric Krawczyk scored 6 goals, Matt Zajac recorded 4 goals and both Jeremy Luczak and Matt Zalesko scored 2 times as the Porters beat Latin 14-6. Connor Hecker made 10 saves as well for the winners. Sam Orlin scored 3 goals and Lucas Barbosa netted 2 scores in the loss for the Romans.

 

St Patrick 14 St Rita 2

Joe Gibson recorded 8 goals and Natalie Rivera added 3 scores in the Shamrocks' 14-2 win over St Rita. Ezra Andrews, John Sandman and Nathan Deluna each scored once and Eric Arroyo made 5 saves in the victory.

 

St Rita 18 Latin 6

Joe Qualter and Lorenzo Henrichs both scored 6 goals and Ethan Johnson scored 3 times in the Mustangs' 18-6 victory over Latin in the event's fifth-place game. Bobby Flores, Paul Fernandez and Ryan Larson all scored once in the winning effort. Sam Orlin scored 4 goals and Lucas Barbosa registered 2 scores in the losing effort.

 

Curie 6 St Patrick 4

The Condors edged St Patrick 6-4 in the event's fifth-place game on Saturday afternoon. Joe Gibson put in 3 goals, Natalie Rivera scored once and Eric Arroyo made 7 saves in the loss for the Shamrocks.

 

Lockport 12 DLS 5

Eric Krawczyk recorded 6 goals to lead the Porters past DLS 12-5 to claim third place at the Brother Rice Tournament. Matt Zajac added 2 scores and Connor Hecker stopped 10 shots in the win for Lockport.

 

 

GBS TOURNAMENT

Lake Forest 12 Hersey 4

Jay Baker poured in 6 goals to lead the Scouts past Hersey 12-4 on Saturday morning.

 

Naperville North 14 Prospect 5

Cole Jacobs and Matt Magee both scored 3 goals while Jon Jon Pettinger, Nick Zillier and Reilly McDonnell scored 2 times in the Huskies' 14-5 win over Prospect. Isaac Ginnodo led the Knights' with 3 goals.

 

Glenbrook South 10 Evanston 4

Brendan Chang registered 3 goals and both Peter Dales and Richard Poma both scored 2 times as the Titans beat Evanston 10-4. Brian Johnson made 12 saves in the win for the hosts. Thomas Fies scored 3 times in the loss for the Wildkits.

 

New Trier 20 Palatine 6

Michael Krueger and Patrick Drake both scored 4 goals as the Trevians advanced to the event's title game after beating Palatine 20-6. Campbell Boston tallied 3 scores in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Evanston 7 Hersey 2

Thomas Fies recorded 4 goals and Lucas Verelli, Cameron Vance-Colby and Peter Iachini each scored once in the Wildkits' 7-2 win over Hersey.

 

Palatine 5 Prospect 5

Jacob Kosinski (Prospect) and Marcus Carter-Buckman (Palatine) both scored 2 goals as the Knights and Pirates finished in a 5-5 draw in the final game of the preliminary round. Prospect earned the tiebreaker to move on to the fifth-place game while Palatine will play for seventh place.

 

Palatine 8 Hersey 4

Marcus Carter-Buckman scored 4 goals and Jake Conrad made 12 saves in the Pirates' 8-4 victory over Hersey in the seventh-place game of the event. DJ Meyers scored 2 times in the loss for the Huskies.

 

Lake Forest 10 Prospect 7

Jay Baker notched 4 scores as the Scouts beat Prospect 10-7 to finish in fifth place at the GBS Tourney. Isaac Ginnodo scored 2 goals in the loss for the Knights.

 

Naperville North 15 Evanston 6

Michael Krueger recorded 3 goals to help lead the Trevians past GBS 15-7 on Saturday in the title game of the event. Peter Dales notched 4 scores and Brian Johnson made 9 saves in the loss for the Titans.

 

 

MUNDELEIN TOURNAMENT

Naperville Central 14 Conant 2

Nick Walker scored 4 goals and Kent Emden made 12 saves in the Redhawks' 14-2 win over Conant. Eric Stablein, Brian Calabrese and Kyle Jackson each tallied 2 scores as well for the winners.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 5 Conant 3

Henry Kreis and Travis Tanner both scored 2 goals and Michael Bonthron added one score in the Vikings' 5-3 win over Conant. Luke Santefort also made 14 saves for the victors.

 

Naperville Central 13 Mundelein 4

Nick Walker registered 6 goals and Kyle Jackson scored 3 times to help the Redhawks get past the hosts 13-4. Brian Calabrese, Matt Reagan, Michael Stern and Scott Piper each added one score and Kent Emden stopped 13 shots and dished out 3 assists for Central.

 

Naperville Central 13 Homewood-Flossmoor 1

Kyle Jackson and Nick Walker both recorded 3 goals and Kent Emden made 15 saves as the Redhawks topped H-F 13-1 to win the Mundelein Tournament. Brian Calabrese, Colin Worbel, Eric Stablein, Michael Stern and Scott Piper each added one goal for the tournament winners.

 

 

NEUQUA VALLEY TOURNAMENT

Neuqua Valley 16 Bradley 4

Troy Salafatinos scored 4 goals, Joey Dalesandro and Zach Dilger both scored 3 goals and Jordan Beck rejected 9 shots in the Wildcats' 16-4 win over Bradley. Brandon Gorski and Ryan Leshock both added 2 goals in the winning effort. Anthony Anderson scored 2 goals and both Jacob Wakeley and Tristan Ruch scored once in the loss for the Boilers.

 

Bradley 10 Maine South 4

Andrew Hinterliter netted 3 goals and both Jacob Meents and Tristan Ruch scored 2 times in the Boilers' 10-4 victory over Maine South. Adam Schroeder, Anthony Anderson and Jacob Wakeley each added one goal in the win for Bradley. Connor Brosnan registered 3 goals and Marko Bogicevic added one goal in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Metea Valley 8 Bradley 2

Keegan Reilly recorded 3 goals and both Ashton Howser and Matt Flanders scored 2 times to help Metea Valley get past Bradley 8-2 on Saturday. Max Chamberlin also scored once in the win for the Mustangs.

 

Neuqua Valley 17 Maine South 5

Adam McGovern totaled 5 goals while Alec McKinley, Jack Hiss and Joey Dalesandro (8 steals) each put in 2 goals as the Wildcats earned a 17-5 win over Maine South. Connor Brosnan scored 2 goals in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Maine South 6 Metea Valley 5

Cam Gidlow and Keegan Reilly both tallied 2 scores and Matt Flanders scored once in a one goal defeat to Maine South on Saturday afternoon.

 

Metea Valley 11 Neuqua Valley 10

Keegan Reilly totaled 8 goals and Matt Flanders scored 2 times and made 4 steals to help the Mustangs stun Neuqua Valley 11-10 on Saturday. Ashton Howser also scored once in the win for MVHS.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Fenwick 7 Oak Park 2

Mickey McGuire scored 3 goals, Noah Groll earned 7 steals and David Francisco made 7 saves as Fenwick earned a 7-2 nonconference victory over Oak Park on Saturday morning. Luis Murphy, Matt Hoban, Kyle Poland and Groll each scored once in the win. Lawrence Cozzi and Thomas Wolfe both scored once and Kevin Obrecht made 12 saves and earned 4 steals in the losing effort.

 

Hinsdale South 15 Waubonsie Valley 5

The Hornets secured their sixteenth win of the season after traveling to Aurora to beat Waubonsie Valley 15-5 on Saturday morning. Stats were not available for the winners. Quentin Tiscareno totaled 3 goals and drew 5 ejections while Spencer Weiland made 17 saves in the loss. Gavin Drews, Jake Darlinger and Sam Hurdle each added one goal for the Warriors.

 

McHenry 8 Schaumburg 5

Mike Matusek scored 4 goals to lead the Warriors past Schaumburg 8-5 on Saturday. Tyler Gustafson put in 5 scores and Edin Latic made 12 saves in the loss for the Saxons.

 

Lyons 16 Lincoln-Way East 5

George Lundgren and Sam Szczepaniak each registered 4 goals to lead the Lions past LWE 16-5. Collin O'Donnell scored 3 goals and Bryan McNitt tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Griffins.

 

STC East 20 Von Steuben 11

Andrew Roberge totaled 8 goals, Ethan Braham scored 4 times and Max Retkowski stopped 10 shots in the Saints 20-11 nonconference win over Von Steuben. Johnny Tarpey notched 3 scores and Tanner Schisler scored 2 times in the win for the visitors.

Naperville Central 13 Sandburg 3

Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove both scored 4 goals and Faith Vandercar made 10 saves in the Redhawks' 13-3 victory over Sandburg. Kaela Codo totaled 3 goals and 4 assists plus drew 6 ejections in the win. Clare Lawlor recorded 2 goals and Bella Wrobel scored once in the losing effort.

 

Evanston 12 Jenison 4

Becca Schumm recorded 4 goals and Giselle Figueroa added 3 scores as the Wildkits beat Jenison 12-4. Mira Ortegon added 2 goals and Emma Stein, Michelle Pacheco and Sydney Bernadel each scored once in the win. Rachel Byrnes notched 2 scores while Natalie Wolterink and Taylor Arnold each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Evanston 6 Sandburg 2

Becca Schumm registered 3 scores and Emily Mohrenweiser, Emma Stein and Stephanie Sheikh each scored once as the Wildkits held Sandburg scoreless in the second half to emerge with a 6-2 victory.

 

Naperville Central 10 Jenison 4

Olivia Eiken scored 2 goals and Alli Horn, Caitlin Holzer, Isabelle Rocco, Megan Phillips and Taylor Wessel each scored one goal in the Huskies' 7-3 win over Hinsdale Central. Courtney Malecki, Grace Hennessy and Sam Tarvin each tallied one score in the losing effort.

 

Oak Park 12 Lake Forest 2

Jilly Cronin recorded 4 goals and Genevieve Curry scored 2 times in OPRF's 12-2 win over Lake Forest. Kaitlyn Peterson also made 11 saves in the win. Catherine Pompe and Grace Donahue each scored once in the loss for the Scouts.

 

New Trier 9 Hinsdale Central 8

Sarah Caywood scored 3 goals and the trio of Kami Grochowski, Lydia O'Connell and Melissa Bischoff all scored 2 times in the Trevians' 9-8 win over Hinsdale Central. Lauren Hamp and Samara Lillioja both put in 3 goals in the loss for the Red Devils.

 

Lincoln-Way North 17 Lake Forest 3

Cassidy Degraff recorded 5 goals and 4 steals and Julia Porco scored 3 times and dished out 3 assists as the Phoenix defeated Lake Forest 17-3. Caitlin Nelson and Jess Larson each scored 2 goals while Ailish Murphy, Emily Costella, Jordan Bruni and Teresa Mega each scored once in the win for LWN. Allison Majka, Alyssa Hollander and Grace Donahue each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Naperville North 8 New Trier 5

Katie Horn recorded 5 goals and Isabelle Rocco netted 2 goals as the Huskies got past New Trier 8-5. Caitlin Holzer also scored one in the win. Sarah Caywood notched 4 scores and Melissa Bischoff scored once in the loss for the Trevians.

 

Oak Park 11 Lincoln-Way North 9

Samara Lillioja and Zoe Relias each tallied 4 scores and Lauren Hamp added 3 scores as the Red Devils beat Lake Forest 11-7 in the event's fifth-place game. Shannon Corcoran also made 7 saves in the win. Grace Donahue scored 6 goals and Catherine Pompe scored once in the loss for the Scouts.

 

Lincoln-Way North 19 New Trier 5

Julia Porco scored 6 goals, Jess Larson recorded 5 scores and Cassidy Degraff netted 4 goals to help the Phoenix get past New Trier 19-5 for third place at the Naperville North Tournament. Lydia O'Connell put in 2 goals and the trio of Emma Valdiserri, Melissa Bischoff and Sarah Caywood each scored once for New Trier.

 

Oak Park 10 Naperville North 9

Genevieve Curry scored 8 goals, including the game-winner with 2:34 left in regulation, as OPRF earned a 10-9 comeback victory over Naperville North in the event's title game. Jilly Cronin and Tamsen Cronin each scored one goal and Kaitlyn Peterson made 7 saves for the Huskies, who overcame an early 5-1 deficit. Caitlin Holzer and Isabelle Rocco both scored 3 goals, Katie Horn put in 2 scores and Alli Horn scored once in the loss for the hosts.

 

 

NEUQUA VALLEY TOURNAMENT

Neuqua Valley 7 Bradley 1

Zoe Salafatinos scored 3 goals and Issi French made 12 saves in the Wildcats' 7-1 triumph over Bradley. Catherine Carroll, Jonel Carroll, Heather Sterchele and Gabby Koopmann each added one goal in the win for the hosts. Arielle Elliott scored one goal in the loss for the Boilers.

 

Bradley 11 Maine South 5

Arielle Elliott, Kenzie Chalifoux, Lexi Fischer and Megan Schroeder each scored 2 goals as the Boilers got past Maine South 11-5. Maggie Goodman, Nora Goodman and Regan Warmoth each scored once as well for the winners. Iza Popek recorded 2 goals and the trio of Abby Vaughan, Keanan Bender and Katie Waszak each scored once in the loss.

 

Neuqua Valley 13 Maine South 0

Zoe Salafatinos scored 4 goals and Catherine Carroll, Gabby Koopmann and Issi French (5 saves) each scored 2 goals in the Wildcats' 13-0 shutout victory over Maine South. Jonel Carroll and Julia Stege both added one score in the win.

 

Neuqua Valley 6 Metea Valley 1

Zoe Salafatinos totaled 3 goals and 7 steals and Issi French made 11 saves as the Wildcats beat Metea Valley 6-1 to win their own tournament on Saturday. Amy Blencowe, Catherine Carroll and Emily Nelmark each scored once in the winning effort.

 

 

STC EAST TOURNAMENT

Meadows 7 Fremd 5

Lizzie Hardt connected on the game-winning goal in a shootout to send the Mustangs past Fremd 7-5 on Saturday. Sara Luedloff led Meadows with 5 goals while Hardt put in 2 for the victors.

 

Meadows 6 Homewood-Flossmoor 4

Sara Luedloff scored 5 times to help lead the Mustangs past H-F 6-4 on Saturday.

 

STC East 10 Meadows 9

The Saints outlasted Meadows 10-9 in a shootout on Saturday to win their inaugural event. Sara Luedloff scored 4 times in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

STC North 10 Lincoln-Way West 1

Monica Guyett scored 5 goals and Emmy Feddor scored 3 times as the North Stars defeated LWW 10-1. Hailey Norris and Katie Steele each scored once and Claire Rich made 9 saves in the losing effort.
