Black also scored 2 times in the victory for Mundelein. Kyle Rickert
scored 4 goals and Jay Howenstine recorded 3 scores in the loss for

Tournament
Palatine Outlasts Competition To Win GBS Tournament
Palatine earned an 8-7 win over
Naperville North in the final game of the GBS Tournament to claim the
title after finishing the event with a 3-0-1 record. The Pirates also
earned preliminary round wins over Evanston and Lake Forest, then fought
to a 9-9 draw with the hosts in the first game of the championship
bracket. After Naperville North and GBS finished in an 11-11 tie, Palatine
was left with a chance to win the tournament outright with a win over
North, which they earned by using a 3-0 run in the final quarter to come-
from-behind and earn the crucial win.
Kamil Mulawa scored 19 goals,
Justin Behrens recorded 15 scores, and goalie Dan Sommerfield blocked a
total of 40 saves and was recognized as the official tournament MVP after
the four-game set.

Viator Wins GBN Tournament With 3-1 Finish
St Viator used a balanced
offensive attack led by Eileen Mallof (8 goals) to claim the Glenbrook
North Tournament title on Saturday. The Lions earned wins over
Libertyville, LWE, and Resurrection at the event, with their only loss
coming to the hosts by an 8-7 score. St Viator won the tournament based on
a tiebreaker, as the hosts and LWE also finished with 3-1 records on the

Tournament. In the final game, the Red Jaguars beat the hosts 15-9 to win
the tourney title, as Nora Plank totaled 7 goals in the final game win.
Plank totaled 14 goals, Martinus scored 13 times, and Jessie Mroczek
recorded 25 steals in the three-game event.

Korey Flynn scored from her own
end in the closing seconds of regulation to send Sandburg past Evanston
4-3 on Saturday. Flynn's shot connected with :08 remaining on the clock
and the Eagles' defense held Evanston at bay to claim the one-goal win.
Flynn also made 9 saves, while Jamie Pappanastos, Lauren Olson, and Tara
Capouch each scored one time in the win for Sandburg. Ellis O'Connor
scored 2 goals, Yasi Nassiri scored once, and Sarah Thompson made 12 saves
in the losing effort for the Wildkits.
