The Trevians and Wolves will do battle on Tuesday in a game with major implications on the seeding for next month's sectional playoffs at GBS. The winner tonight will move one step closer to one of the top two seeds at sectionals. Meanwhile, both teams are 2-0 in the CSL South, so whoever walks away with a win tonight inches closer to the divisional title.

The MSL East title is on the line on Tuesday night at Prospect as the Knights look to draw even with the Wildcats in the divisional standings as the regular season winds down. Wheeling can clinch at least a share of the title with a win. The teams have played twice already this season, with the Wildcats coming out with two one-goal victories. Can they beat Prospect for a third straight time this season, or will Niki Neumann, Lauren Broz and company be able to work their magic and tie things up in the division?

New Trier 12 Niles West 7

Alex Grant celebrated his birthday by scoring 5 goals to help lift the Trevians over Niles West 12-7. Chris Keller netted 3 scores and Michael Krueger notched 2 scores as New Trier responded to a 4-3 halftime deficit with a strong second half to seal the win.

Fenwick 22 Oak Park 5

Danny Farmer totaled 7 goals and Will Skowron blocked 13 shots to help lead the Friars to a 22-5 victory over Oak Park on Tuesday in nonconference action. Andrew Bertschy and Colin Daly each scored 3 goals and Chez Daggs added 2 scores for the victors. Bertschy and Skowron each dished out 3 assists as well in the win.

 

Glenbrook South 11 Evanston 10

Peter Dales and Tommy Hagerty both recorded 3 goals, Richard Poma scored 2 times and Davis Hianik made 10 saves and allowed only 3 goals in the Titans' 11-10 triumph over Evanston. Kane Kulman and Liam O'Connor each tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Wildkits.

 

Jones-Payton 17 Northside 4

Will Macellaio registered 6 goals and Jared Williams netted 4 scores as the Eagles downed Northside 17-4.

 

Naperville Central 13 STC North 4

Kyle Jackson and Nick Walker both registered 3 goals while Kyle Mallen and Christian May each tallied 2 scores in the Redhawks' 13-4 win over STC North. Brian Calabrese and Matt Reagan both netted one score for the winners. Chris Stanek totaled 4 goals, Nathan Bawolek made 6 steals and Garrett Allamian stopped 6 shots in the loss for the North Stars.

 

Neuqua Valley 19 Hinsdale South 12

Joey Dalesandro totaled 5 goals and 5 steals, Simon Shatinsky totaled 5 goals, Scott DePuy registered 3 goals and Jordan Beck blocked 8 shots in the Wildcats' 19-12 win over Hinsdale South. Ian Ivkovich put in 2 goals while Adam McGovern, Brett Whaley, Lucas Becker and Troy Salafatinos all scored once in the victory.

 

Prosser 13 Schurz 4

Hector Coz tallied 4 scores and both Dennis Gonzalez and Ivan Delgado put in 2 goals to lead the Falcons past Schurz 13-4.

 

Riverside-Brookfield 14 Lane 7

Paul Sitkiewicz recorded 5 goals and both Dan Magee and Dominic Rosa added 4 scores as the Bulldogs downed Lane 14-7. Coulter Greenwell stopped 11 shots as well for the winners.

 

Sandburg 11 Waubonsie Valley 5

Mitch Zieler notched 4 scores while Jake Grella and Majd Ibrahim each scored 2 times as the Eagles beat Waubonsie Valley 11-5. Cameron Steele scored 4 times and hit the century-mark for the season while Jared Marrs added one score and Cedrick Chan made 15 saves in the losing effort.

 

Stevenson 20 Palatine 2

Andrew Shashin and Cris Tomasetti each registered 4 goals to lead the Patriots past Palatine 20-2.

 

St Patrick 7 York 5

Joe Gibson totaled 2 goals and Tim Noble blocked 8 shots to help the Shamrocks get past York 7-5.

The Wildcats overcame a 5-3 halftime deficit to beat Prospect 9-7 and claim the MSL East division title on Tuesday night. Theresa Godlewski totaled 4 goals, Argelia Diaz netted 3 scores, Adrienne Rozmus and Jenna Pink each scored once and Elizabeth Wargo made 11 saves in the win for Wheeling. Gracie Dix and Michelle Vuong both scored 2 times and Lauren Broz made 12 saves in the losing effort.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Conant 14 Maine South 3

Carmen Rosas totaled 6 goals and Maddy Demaret made 11 saves and dished out 5 assists to help the Cougars claim a win in their new aquatic facility for the first time. Emily Weingart, Nicole Mihaylova and Emily Weingart each notched 2 scores while Barbra Smigla and Claire Rosas both scored one goal. Kamila Orzech led the Hawks with 2 scores in the losing effort.

 

Evanston 8 Glenbrook South 1

Honore Collins totaled 5 goals to lead the Wildkits to an 8-1 victory over GBS on Tuesday night. Payton Gibson, Edie Block and Millie Rosen both added one score in the win for Evanston.

 

Hersey 5 Meadows 2

Katie Lutz scored 2 goals to help the Huskies beat Meadows 5-2. Anna Frantom and Sara Luedloff each scored once and Betsy Zanocco made 16 saves in the loss.

 

Glenbrook North 15 Deerfield 4

Lindsay Fraser poured in 9 goals and Colleen Doolan netted 5 scores to lead the Spartans past Deerfield 15-4. Emily Schwander added the other goal in the win for GBN.

 

Lake Forest 9 Mundelein 7

Abby Warren scored 5 times and Clare Wieland added 3 goals as the Scouts topped Mundelein 9-7. Emily Garcia recorded 5 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Lincoln-Way East 10 Riverside-Brookfield 6

Zoe Spada netted 3 goals to lead the Griffins past the Bulldogs 10-6 on Tuesday evening.

 

Lincoln-Way North 14 Metea Valley 4

Cassidy Degraff recorded 6 goals and 6 steals and Emily Cheshire netted 3 scores to help lead the Phoenix to a 14-4 victory over Metea Valley. Julia Porco added 2 goals while the trio of Ellie Brtis, Jocie Moustis and Sarah Jackson all netted one score in the winning effort.

 

Maine West 8 Maine East 5

Holly Wasicak tallied 4 scores while Emily Morrison and Kristen Burger each netted 2 goals to help the Warriors upend Maine East 8-5. Lilly Jensen made 9 saves and combined with Morrison and Wasicak to make 12 steals for the victors.

 

Naperville North 15 Hinsdale Central 4

Jilian Eiken netted 5 goals while Lauren Liberio and Taylor Stoner each scored 3 times in the Huskies 15-4 win over Hinsdale Central.
