Metea and Neuqua Finish Tournament Deadlocked
Just like back in the opening week of the season, Metea Valley and
Neuqua Valley found themselves in a familiar spot at the end of
their latest game: tied. With both teams entering the last game of
the event with 2-0 records, the tournament title was on the line,
but the teams could not avoid the tie and concluded their match even
at 8-8. Maine South beat Bradley earlier in the day to finish in
third place.

Neuqua Valley 8 Bradley 7
Brooke Bedford scored 3 goals in Neuqua's 8-7 victory over Bradley. Reily
Kane totaled 6 scores in the loss for the Boilers.
Maine South 10 Bradley 8
Iza Matczuk tallied 3 scores and both Jenna Zitkus and Tyler Gooding put
in 2 goals as the Hawks got past Bradley 10-8. Drew Lecuyer, Megan Ouwenga,
and Rachel Thorson each scored 2 times for the Boilers.
Metea Valley 13 Bradley 5
Mia Palladino recorded 4 goals and both Alex Conti and Lizzie Hollopeter
netted 2 goals as Metea beat Bradley 13-5. Celine Dalde notched 2 goals in
the loss for Bradley.
Neuqua Valley 9 Maine South 4
Emma Bollinger registered 4 scores and Brooke Bedford added 2 goals as the
Wildcats upended the Hawks 9-4 on Saturday. Tyler Gooding scored 2 times
in the loss for Maine South.
Metea Valley 11 Maine South 3
Lizzie Hollopeter netted 4 goals and Lindsay Raczak added 2 scores in
Metea's 11-3 win over Maine South. Iza Matczuk scored 2 times in the loss
for the Hawks.
Metea Valley 8 Neuqua Valley 8
In the event's rubber match, Metea and Neuqua finished tied 8-8. Lizzie
Hollopeter scored 5 goals and Katelyn Apple pitched in with 3 scores for
the Mustangs, while Brooke Bedford scored 4 goals and Kaitlyn Gorski
added 2 scores for the Wildcats.
