Redhawks Roll Past Competition To Win Own Tournament
The top-ranked Redhawks earned convincing victories over Evanston,
Jenison, and Sandburg to end the weekend with a 3-0 record and their second home
tournament title this season. Sandburg finished second by earning strong wins
over Evanston and Jenison on Saturday, while the Michigan squad's win over
Evanston on Friday night gave them a third-place finish.

Naperville Central 11 Sandburg 5
Abbey Kerth recorded 7 goals and Julia Campbell blocked 13 shots in the
Redhawks' 11-5 win over the Eagles. Erin Reagan also scored 2 times in the
Central victory. Tara Capouch scored 2 goals and Alona King made 10 saves
in the loss for Sandburg.
Jenison 8 Evanston 3
Alicia Bouma and Summer Lukaart both scored 3 times and Ariy Ringold made
9 saves as Jenison made the journey to Naperville and beat Evanston 8-3 on
Friday. Yasi Nassiri led the Wildkits with 2 scores.

Naperville Central 14 Evanston 0
Gracie May and Lauren Gunn both scored 3 goals and the Redhawks' defense
did not allow a goal as NC beat Evanston 14-0. Abbey Kerth and Emily Sejna
each added 2 scores in the winning effort. The goalie tandem of Nora
Emrich and Sarah Seguine-Hall combined to make 10 saves in the loss for
the Wildkits.
Sandburg 11 Jenison 2
Jamie Pappanastos and Tara Capouch both registered 3 scores and Alona King
made 10 saves to help the Eagles earn an 11-2 victory over Jenison.
Brittany Kamper and Kaitlyn Randich each notched 2 scores for the winners.
Alicia Bouma and Amanda Wolterink scored once in the loss for Jenison.
Sandburg 11 Evanston 3
Jamie Pappanastos totaled 6 goals and Alona King made 8 saves in
Sandburg's 11-3 win over Evanston. Robyn Bastian led the Wildkits with 2
scores in the loss.
Naperville Central 14 Jenison 2
Jenny Doyle scored 3 goals and Abbey Kerth, Gracie May, Jamie Schweikart,
and Lauren Gunn all totaled 2 scores in Naperville Central's
tournament-clinching 14-2 win over Jenison. Bria Brianconi and Summer
Lukaart both scored one goal apiece in the loss for the visitors.
