MATCH OF THE DAY
Barrington 11 Conant 9
The Broncos improved to 20-0 in 2015 clinched the MSL West division
title after earning a 11-9 win over Conant on Monday night. Marshall
Mathias scored 4 goals and Charlie Hoffman notched 3 scores for the
victors, while Chase Lesniak, Matt Gouskos, Mitch Gavars and Patrick
Hogan each registered one score. Lesniak scored the eventual
game-winner while Mathias added an insurance goal in the closing stages
to seal the win. Connor Schmitz led the Cougars with 6 goals in the
loss.
OTHER KEY GAMES
Andrew 8 Homewood-Flossmoor 6
The T-Bolts secured their eighteenth win of the season by holding
off H-F 8-6 on Monday night. Dan Cavato led a solid defensive effort
with 10 steals while adding 2 goals. Eric Villasenor and Brett Hofer
both put in 2 goals as well while Colin Hovorka and Mike Brennan
combined to make 7 saves.
Haden Santefort and Johnny Schmidt both registered 2 scores and Luke
Santefort made 16 saves in the loss.
Buffalo Grove 15 Elk Grove 6
Chris Schulstad and Ryan Lawson both totaled 6 goals to help lead
the Bison past Elk Grove 15-6. David Dragne led the Grenadiers with
3 scores in the loss.
Fenwick 16 DLS 9
Danny Farmer recorded 6 goals, Ryan Masi tallied 3 scores and Will
Skowron blocked 7 shots to help the Friars get past DLS 16-9. Bailey
Wendt and Mickey McGuire each added 2 scores while Jack Mahoney
dished out 4 assists for the Fenwick offense.
Fremd 10 Palatine 6
Dylan Assmann registered 4 goals to lead the Vikings past Palatine
10-6 on Monday night. Ryan Schlaiss scored 4 times and drew 4
ejections while Jake Conrad made 11 saves in the loss for the hosts.
Marcus Carter-Buckman led the Pirates' defense with 8 steals while
he and Alex Adame each scored once in the losing effort.
Lincoln-Way Central 12 Lincoln-Way East 9
Pat Burke and Zach Otto each scored 3 goals and Jake Burke stopped
13 shots and made 3 steals as the Knights fended off LWE 12-9. Cody
Torres and Matt Klock also scored 2 goals apiece in the win.
Lockport 10 Lincoln-Way North 4
Zach Elias totaled 4 goals and Pat Melaniphy made 13 stops as
Lockport knocked off LWN 10-4 on Monday evening. Eric Johnson also
scored 2 times while Joey Tomczuk, Matt Cavanaugh and Tommy Boland
each scored once in the win.
Sandburg 15 Lincoln-Way West 10
Mitch Zieler poured in 8 goals and both Dovydas Paskevicous and Majd
Ibrahim netted 2 goals to help the Eagles get past LWW 15-10. Mike
Hinde and Tino Pappas both added one score as well for the victors.
Schaumburg 13 Hoffman 8
Tyler Gustafson scored 4 goals and James Birriel netted 3 goals in
the Saxons' 13-8 victory over Hoffman. Christian Zielinski and Jack
Pyde each added 2 goals in the winning effort for the hosts. Dirgham
Nubani and Joey Smiley both registered 4 goals in the loss for the
Hawks.
St Viator 8 Maine South 7
Shea Boyer totaled 4 goals, Keegan Finn netted 3 scores and Frank
Skorski stopped 14 shots to help the Lions edge Maine South 8-7.
Zachary Benson also scored once in the win for Viator.
York 11 Hinsdale South 5
Alex Marlott and Danny Stumpf each registered 3 scores to lead the
Dukes past Hinsdale South 11-5.

Palatine 9 Fremd 1
Caroline Wojtas poured in 6 goals and Tess O'Brien blocked 13 shots to
help Palatine earn a 9-1 victory over Fremd in an MSL West contest.
Kristin Anderson netted 2 goals and Caitlin McHugh scored once for the
Pirates. Sarah Coombes tallied the lone goal in the loss for the
Vikings.

Sarah Morosan totaled 3 goals while Emily Carey, Jessi Graziano,
Olivia Pontarelli, Rebecca Gaare and Sarah Harner each scored once
as the Bison held off Elk Grove 8-6 on Monday. Linds Hendren
recorded 3 goals in the loss for the Grenadiers.
Conant 13 Barrington 1
Carmen Rosas, Sam Wooley and Sarah Gregory each scored 3 goals and
Maddy Demaret made 13 saves to help the Cougars snare a 13-1 victory
over Barrington. Emily Weingart and Paulina Chowaniec each put in 2
goals as well for the winners. Demaret also totaled 5 assists and 5
steals while Wooley made 4 steals to lead a strong defensive effort.
Homewood-Flossmoor 9 Andrew 4
Amber Barney tallied 3 scores and both Alexis Anderson and Emily
Mathews scored 2 times in the Vikings 9-4 win over Andrew. Rebecca
Tanner made 9 saves while Eliza Sykes and Kelly Morrissey each
scored once in the win. Aoife Burke, Beth Koson, Cailey Pietrzyck
and Deanna Koeckritz each scored once in the losing effort for the
T-Bolts.
Lincoln-Way Central 7 Lincoln-Way East 6
Cailey Davern scored the game-tying and game-winning goals to lift
the Knights over LWE 7-6 in a SWSC thriller on Monday night. Davern
scored 3 goals, Erin Muellerschoen recorded 2 goals and both Kimmie
Bernhard and Nikki Howe scored once for the victors. Zoe Spada
netted 4 goals while Teresa DiGiovanni and Keara Flaherty each
scored one goal in the narrow loss for the Griffins.
Lincoln-Way North 11 Lockport 6
Cassidy Degraff recorded 8 goals and 5 steals and Emily Cheshire put
in 2 scores as the Phoenix downed Lockport 11-6. Ellie Brtis also
scored once and Laura Wolf stopped 14 shots for the winners.
Maine West 14 Richards 8
Holly Wasicak netted 6 goals, Emily Morrison tallied 4 scores and
Kristen Burger put in 3 goals to lead the Warriors past Richards
14-8.
Mother McAuley 14 DLS 6
Claire Mueller registered 4 goals, both Julie Olivares and Maggie
Hennigan netted 3 goals and Geena Peyton made 10 saves in the Mighty
Macs' 14-6 victory over DLS. Courtney Franko, Jill Mueller, Molly
Nagle and Michaela Murphy each scored once as well for the winners.
Sandburg 12 Lincoln-Way West 7
Clare Lawlor recorded 4 goals and the trio of Katie Flaherty, Sarah
Dolitsky and Stephanie Pappas each scored 2 times in the Eagles'
12-7 win over LWW. Caitlyn Olsen and Mel Behrman both added one
score while Morgan Bartelment registered 15 saves in the victory for
Sandburg.
Schaumburg 13 Hoffman 2
Brittney Vasquez, Emily Droege and Jessica Bukielski each recorded 3
goals to lead the Saxons to a 13-2 victory over Hoffman. Ann Cho and
Jenny Farmaintt each tallied one score in the loss for the Hawks.
