Sandburg jumped out to a 6-1 lead and held on for an 8-7 win over Mother
McAuley. McAuley's Adrianna Izquierdo scored with 0:37 remaining to cut
the lead to one, but the Eagles were able to hold the ball until the shot
clock expired and prevented the Macs from getting a shot off in the
closing seconds to earn the narrow victory. Korey Flynn made 14 saves in
the win for Sandburg. Jackie Knightly led McAuley with 2 scores in the
losing effort.
