The Pirates head to LaGrange to take on the Lions in an intriguing
non-conference game between Top 10 teams.

5:00pm - #13 Andrew at #11 Sandburg
The SWSC Red-leading T-Bolts hope to bounce back from Tuesday's loss to Lockport (their
first of 2014) when they go to Orland Park to do battle with
SWSC Blue-leading Sandburg on Thursday.

The Redhawks and Wildcats resume their regular season rivalry on
Thursday night; Central escaped with a 6-5 win in the closing minute of
the first meeting between the two teams back in Week 1 after trailing
for the entire game at the Naperville Tournament. Can the Wildcats get
their revenge or will Central earn a momentum-building win before
heading to Michigan on Friday?

The Lions go on the road to take on New Trier in a battle of teams
looking for a key nonconference win on Thursday night.
FEATURED EVENTS
ST VIATOR TOURNAMENT
St Viator hosts an eight-team tournament that features Buffalo Grove, Lockport,
Maine South, Palatine, Prospect, Resurrection, and STC North. With last
year's event winner (LWC) not in attendance, a new champion will be
crowned at the Sea Lion Shootout on Saturday night.
YORK TOURNAMENT
The Dukes' five-team tournament begins on Thursday night with a four-game
slate, then picks up again on Saturday for six additional games. The
round-robin format includes Andrew, Barrington, Bremen, and Naperville
North (who won last year's event over Barrington).

MATCH OF THE DAY
Lyons 20 Palatine 10
George Duffy poured in 8 goals, George Lundgren netted 6 scores, and
Nathan Kriha scored 4 times as LT outscored Palatine 20-10 in LaGrange
on Thursday night. Omar El Hoffi led the Pirates with 4 goals, both
Jacob Baran and Kristian Kalev scored 2 times, and Wally Kleinfeldt
totaled one goal and drew 7 ejections in the loss for the Pirates.
OTHER KEY GAMES
Andrew 14 Sandburg 11
Chuck Walters scored 5 goals and Tim Yara made 10 saves as the T-Bolts
defeated Sandburg 14-11. Alex Gacek scored 4 times, Eric Tamulonis added
3 goals, and Mike Tamulonis made 10 steals in Andrew's win. Zach Roper
led the Eagles with 9 goals in the loss.
Bradley 12 Lincoln-Way East 9
Nick Dalzell totaled 7 goals and 4 steals and Jacob LaMore blocked 13
shots and added 5 steals to help lift Bradley over LWE 12-9.
Glenbrook North 8 Maine South 5
John Roberts scored 3 goals, Robert Liberman totaled 2 goals and 3
assists, and Phil Vdovets registered 2 goals and 2 assists in the
Spartans' 8-5 victory over Maine South. GBN outscored the Hawks 5-2 in
the second half after the teams went into halftime tied at 3-3.
Glenbrook South 19 Highland Park 6
Jordan Spalding and Peter Dales both scored 4 times and Davis Hianik
made 17 saves as GBS downed HP 19-6 on Thursday.
Hersey 16 Meadows 8
George Vladimirov broke Hersey's school record for goals with a 10-score
output as the Huskies earned a 16-8 victory over Meadows in a MSL East
contest.
Lincoln-Way Central 13 Homewood-Flossmoor

Tristan Funk scored 4 goals and both Conor McGowan and Kyle Forsythe
netted 3 goals as the Knights got past H-F 13-7. Jake Burke stopped 9
shots in the win for Central. Broc Thompson registered 3 goals, both
Haden Santefort and Marcus Perry each notched 2 scores, and Jakobi
McClellan blocked 12 shots in the losing effort.
STC North 8 McHenry 3
Nick Traxler scored 4 goals and Collin Bawolek made 16 saves to lead the
North Stars past McHenry 8-3.
Stevenson 13 Libertyville 3
Mitchell Sokolsky netted 4 scores Shaurya Gilani made 14 saves in
Stevenson's 13-3 win over Libertyville. Alex Kapecki and Kurt Holzer
each scored 3 times, Andrew Shashin notched 2 scores, and Boris Romanov
tallied one score in the win for the Patriots.

Naperville Central 16 Neuqua Valley 4
Michelle Spaits totaled 4 goals and both Kaela Codo and Kristin Altuve
notched 3 scores in the Redhawks' 16-4 win over Neuqua Valley. Emily
Westlove and Jessica Fox each tallied 2 scores, Ann Marie Gunn had 5
assists, and Faith Vandercar made 9 saves in the Central victory. Morgan
Miller scored 3 times, Kaitlyn Gorski added one score, and Issi French
made 9 saves in the Wildcats' loss.

Liz Klock totaled 5 goals and 4 steals and Sabrina Miglorini stopped 7
shots as a strong defensive outing helped the Knights beat the Vikings

up with Delaney Shepard to make 3 steals apiece in the victory.

Aimee Schaaf, Lauren VanderVelde, and Taryn Linke each scored 3 goals
and Haley McCabe totaled 2 scores and 6 assists in the Griffins' 14-5
win over Bradley.
Mundelein 16 Vernon Hills 4
Allie Booth recorded 7 goals and both Anna Ward and Emily Garcia scored
3 times as the Mustangs beat Vernon Hills 16-4. Katy Udesky blocked 12
shots in the loss for the Cougars.
Naperville North 12 Metea Valley 2
Lauren Liberio scored 4 times and Dree Kinder denied 8 shots as
Naperville North defeated Metea Valley 12-2 on Thursday. Alyssa Kolenda,
Dani DiMatteo, and Taylor Stoner each added 2 goals in the Huskies' win.
Abby Smedley scored 2 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.
New Trier 6 Lyons 5 (4 OT)
Lauren Barrett drew a penalty and Maria Breen converted the shot as the
Trevians outlasted Lyons 6-5 in a four-overtime thriller on Thursday.
Brittany Bishop scored 2 goals while Jacqueline Glattard, Stephanie
Jodloman, Barrett, and Breen each scored once in the New Trier victory.
Keelin Frank and Zoe Gottleib combined to stop 13 shots for the hosts.
Caroline Walsh and Emma Hirt each recorded 2 goals, Haley Hughes scored
once, and Jessie Wittenberg made 10 saves for the Lions. Walsh and Julia
Cohen led the defense with 3 steals apiece.
Sandburg 9 Wheeling 7
The Eagles went on the road to earn a 9-7 victory over Wheeling on
Thursday. Theresa Godlewski totaled 5 goals and 4 steals and Jenna Pink
saved 18 shots in the loss for the hosts. Argelia Diaz and Emily Sowa
each added one goal for the Wildcats.
Stevenson 17 Libertyville 2
Melissa Gartenberg recorded 7 goals and Becky Callen totaled 11 saves in
Stevenson's 17-2 victory over Libertyville on Thursday. Allison
Travetto, Annika Hotchkiss, and Erin Kempers each scored 2 goals in the
win for the Patriots. Devika Joshi scored both goals in the loss for the
Wildcats.
ST VIATOR TOURNAMENT
Palatine 6 Maine South 3
Rachel Chumbook netted 3 goals and Kim Butler blocked 7 shots to help
the Pirates earn a 6-3 win over Maine South in the tournament-opener for
both squads. Caitlin McHugh, Kristen Anderson, and Lauren Rasor each
scored once in the Pirates' win. Jenna Zitkus scored 2 times and Sammy
Zang added a goal in the loss for the Hawks.
STC North 6 Lockport 6
The North Stars and Porters finished in a 6-6 tie on Friday night in the
preliminary round of the St Viator Tournament. Nicole Guyett scored 3
goals and Monica Guyett added 2 scores in the draw for North.
YORK TOURNAMENT
Bremen 14 York 5
Hannah Schultz recorded 7 goals and Sarah Minnich netted 2 goals to help
lead Bremen past York 14-5. Grace Feilen, Kirsten Rasnic, Lauren Tamm, and
Perri Brinkmeier all put in 2 goals in the losing effort.
Bremen 9 Andrew 8
Bremen edged Andrew 9-8 to claim their second win of the night at the York
Tournament. Megan Hofer scored 5 goals and the trio of Alison Sifuentes,
Caily Friel, and Courtney Carter each scored once in the loss for the
T-Bolts. Anna Tamulonis also made 6 saves for the victors.
York 12 Barrington 8
Lauren Tamm recorded 3 goals and Ellie Fitzpatrick, Kirsten Rasnic, and
Perri Brinkmeier each registered 2 scores in York's 12-8 triumph over
Barrington. Grace Feilen also scored once in the win for the Dukes.
