Reilly McDonnell tallied 3 scores and both Chris Popiolek and Jon Jon Pettinger scored 2 times to help the Huskies beat GBS 9-8.

 

Naperville Central 14 Hinsdale Central 1

Nick Walker tallied 5 scores, Kyle Jackson notched 3 scores and Kent Emden made 13 saves to help the Redhawks beat Hinsdale Central 14-1. Kyle Mallen, Philip Emden, Scott Piper and Matt Reagan each put in one goal as well for the winners.

 

Naperville Central 13 Naperville North 5

Nick Walker scored 5 goals, Eric Stablein netted 4 scores and Kent Emden blocked 17 shots as Naperville Central won the Best of the West Tournament by beating Naperville North 13-5. Kyle Jackson scored 2 times while Nolan Vaughn and Philip Emden scored once for the Redhawks.

 

 

SANDBURG TOURNAMENT

STC North 7 Prospect 5

Nathan Bawolek and Sam Lilly both scored 3 times and Garrett Allamian made 5 saves as the North Stars held off Prospect 7-5. John Quinn added one score while Bawolek led the defense with 5 steals in the win.

 

Andrew 15 Lane 9

Brett Hofer scored 5 goals and Eric Villasenor added 4 scores in the T-Bolts' 15-9 win over Lane.

 

STC North 12 Lane 7

Sam Lilly tallied 6 goals, Nathan Bawolek put in 3 goals and Garrett Allamian made 9 saves in the North Stars' 12-7 triumph over Lane. Jack Williams added 2 goals as well for the winners.

 

Sandburg 12 STC North 3

The Eagles used a 7-0 run in the second quarter to break the game open as the hosts topped STC North 12-3 to win their own event. Stats for the winners were unavailable. Sam Lilly recorded 2 goals, Jack Williams scored once and Garrett Allamian stopped 7 shots in the losing effort.

Jones-Payton 11 Mt Carmel 6

Will Macellaio scored 6 goals and both John Arey and Steven Fitzgerald scored 2 times in the Eagles' 11-6 win over Mt Carmel. Jared Williams scored 4 times in the loss for the Caravan.

 

Jones-Payton 10 Bremen 7

Steven Fitzgerald and Will Macellaio each scored 4 times as the Eagles defeated Bremen 10-7 to advance to the Shepard Tournament title game. Michael Feeley scored 4 goals and Kevin Duffy netted 3 scores in the losing effort.

 

 

WAUBONSIE VALLEY TOURNAMENT

STC East 19 Hoffman 1

Harrison Hollman scored 4 goals while Andrew Roberge, Ethan Braham, Garrett Farmer and John Tarpey all scored 2 times in the Saints' 19-1 win over Hoffman. George Isaac scored 2 times in the losing effort.

 

Waubonsie Valley 9 Hoffman 0

Wyatt Tiscareno recorded 2 goals and Spencer Weiland earned a shutout as the Warriors earned a 9-0 victory over Hoffman.

 

Pattonville 7 Highland Park 5

Colin Parker scored 5 goals to lead Pattonville past Highland Park 7-5. Jack Slattery led the Giants' with 5 goals in the loss.

 

STC East 14 Latin 1

Andrew Roberge totaled 5 goals to lead the Saints past Latin 14-1.

Alex Nicholas scored 3 goals while Dylan Assmann, Kenny Barry and Robert DePau each tallied 2 scores in the Vikings' 11-4 triumph over Highland Park. Hugh Laedlein scored 2 times in the loss for the Giants.

Colin Parker recorded 5 goals to help lift Pattonville over Hoffman 18-6. George Isaac scored 5 times in the loss for the Hawks.

Katherine Rogers recorded 10 goals and both Naomi Willis and Jess Barr scored one goal as the Warriors beat Libertyville.

Naperville Central 12 Grandville 3

Emily Westlove and Kaela Codo each scored 3 goals and Faith Vandercar made 8 saves as the Redhawks built a 7-0 halftime lead en route to a 12-3 win over Grandville. Alli Hansen and Rylee Brower each put in 2 goals and both Angie Benton and Anne Marie Gunn scored once for the winners.

 

Naperville Central 12 Zeeland 3

Allis Hansen, Emily Westlove and Kaela Codo each registered 2 goals while Faith Vandercar and Sara Campbell each made 4 saves as the Redhawks beat Zeeland 12-3.

 

Naperville Central 10 Pioneer 3

Kaela Codo recorded 3 goals and both Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove scored 2 times as the Redhawks beat Pioneer 10-3 to win the Jenison Tournament. Angie Benton, Rylee Brower and Emily Rodgers each added one goal and Faith Vandercar stopped 8 shots for the winners.

 

 

MUNDELEIN TOURNAMENT

Fremd 7 Mundelein 1

Jenessa Islas-Parker and Paulina Pappas both scored 2 goals and Emma Jeronimus made 8 saves as the Vikings defeated Mundelein 7-1.

 

Oak Park 13 Lincoln-Way Central 5

Genevieve Curry totaled 6 goals and 7 steals and both Ellie Kennedy-Wood and Jilly Cronin put in 3 goals as the Huskies defeated LWC 13-5. Tamsen Cronin added one score and Kaitlyn Peterson made 5 saves in the win. Cailey Davern and Kim Bernhard each scored 2 goals in the losing effort.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 13 Mundelein 6

Cailey Davern netted 4 goals, Kim Bernhard scored 3 times and Nikki Howe tallied 2 scores as Central got past Mundelein 13-6.

 

Oak Park 8 Fremd 3

Genevieve Curry scored 4 goals and Kaitlyn Peterson made 7 saves as the Huskies defeated Fremd 8-3. Ellie Kennedy-Wood, Kevan Casson, Jilly Cronin and Tamsen Cronin all scored once in the win for OPRF. Karolina Urban, Becca Rutkowski and Paulina Pappas each scored once while Emma Jeronimus made 17 saves in the loss for the Vikings.

 

Fremd 11 Lincoln-Way Central 7

Karolina Urban scored 4 times, Paulina Pappas netted 3 goals and Emma Jeronimus stopped 19 shots as the Vikings upended the Knights 11-7. Emily Kini celebrated her birthday early with one key score while Lauren Streitmatter scored once as well for the winners.

 

Oak Park 16 Mundelein 5

Genevieve Curry scored 6 goals and Jilly Cronin totaled 5 goals and 5 assists in the Huskies' 16-5 victory over Mundelein. Tamsen Cronin added 2 goals while Kaitlyn Peterson stopped 14 shots for the winners. Addie Steward-Nolan, Ellie Kennedy-Wood and Nell Behr rounded out the scoring with one goal each for the Huskies.

 

 

PALATINE TOURNAMENT

Palatine 2 Prospect 2

Colleen Doyle netted 2 goals for Prospect while Ashley Helminski and Kristin Anderson each scored once for Palatine as the two MSL schools finished in a 2-2 draw on Saturday morning. Lauren Broz blocked 12 shots for the Knights while Tess O'Brien and Megan Woell combined to make 10 saves for the Pirates.

 

Lincoln-Way East 6 Conant 5

Nicole McCabe scored 2 goals while Caroline Heathcock, Keara Flaherty, Julia Esparza, and Teresa DiGiovanni each scored once as the Griffins staved off a late rally from Conant to earn a 6-5 victory. Paulina Chowaniec registered 4 goals and Sam Wooley scored once in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Evanston 7 STC North 3

Riley Hughes scored 2 goals and Olivia Everhart made 11 saves and scored on a buzzer-beater at the end of the first period to help lift Evanston over STC North 7-3. Becca Schumm, Emily Mohrenweiser, Lana Wolff and Sydney Bernadel each added one score in the winning effort. Brittany Veto scored 2 goals and Sarah Gibson scored one time in the losing effort. Veto and Monica Guyett both led the North Stars' with 6 steals apiece on the defensive end.

 

Neuqua Valley 13 Maine South 0

Zoe Salafatinos recorded 5 goals and Issi French made 14 saves and earned a shutout as the Wildcats blanked Maine South 13-0. Amy Blencowe and Catherine Carroll each tallied 2 scores while Julia Stege, Heather Sterchele, Gabby Koopmann and French each added one score for the winners.

 

Evanston 2 Conant 0

Becca Schumm and Giselle Figueroa each scored once and goaltender Olivia Everhart made 8 saves and did not allow a goal as the Wildkits outlasted Conant 2-0 on Saturday.

 

Palatine 4 Neuqua Valley 3

Kristin Anderson registered 3 goals and Tess O'Brien scored once and made 11 saves as the Pirates built a 4-1 halftime lead and held on for a 4-3 victory over Neuqua Valley. Catherine Carroll, Gabby Koopmann and Zoe Salafatinos each scored once while Issi French made 7 saves in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Lincoln-Way East 1 STC North 1

Nicole McCabe scored once for the Griffins while Monica Guyett scored once for the North Stars as the two teams finished tied at 1-1.

 

Prospect 10 Maine South 1

Emma Colehour scored 3 goals while Gracie Dix and Megan Pfeiffer each tallied 2 scores as Prospect got past Maine South 10-1. Abby Vaughan scored the lone goal in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Conant 14 Maine South 1

Paulina Chowaniec and Sam Wooley both scored 5 goals while Hannah Lukas and Nia Tsoulos each put in 2 goals as the Cougars beat Maine South 14-1 to claim seventh place at the event. Cam Rosas totaled 9 saves and 4 steals while both Aly Wooley and Sam Wooley made 3 steals in the win.

 

STC North 9 Prospect 0

Emmy Feddor registered 3 goals and Monica Guyett notched 2 scores as the North Stars shutout Prospect 9-0 in the fifth-place game of the event. Claire Rich made 7 saves and earned the shutout victory.

 

Lincoln-Way East 5 Neuqua Valley 3

Caroline Heathcock scored 2 goals while Abby Olivieri, Keara Flaherty and Teresa DiGiovanni each put in one goal as the Griffins emerged with a 5-3 victory over Neuqua Valley in the event's third-place game. Alex VanCleave, Catherine Carroll and Zoe Salafatinos each scored one goal and Issi French made 10 saves in the losing effort. Salafatinos and Jonel Carroll each made 4 steals on the defensive end for the Wildcats.

 

Evanston 2 Palatine 1

Becca Schumm and Giselle Figueroa each scored once and Olivia Everhart made 10 saves as Evanston defeated Palatine 2-1 to win the Palatine Tournament on Saturday. Figueroa scored the lone goal of the first half  and Schumm scored midway through the fourth quarter to put Evanston in front 2-0. Kristin Anderson got the Pirates on the board with less than two minutes left in regulation before goalie Tess O'Brien came up with a big save to give the hosts a chance to find an equalizer. The Wildkits' defense prevented a shot attempt as the teams entered the final minute and they were able to run the clock down to sixteen seconds left before Palatine regained possession. Mathilde Mogensen drew a foul around the 7m mark, but her last second attempt was blocked by Everhart and the Wildkits secured a 2-1 victory.

O'Brien made 13 saves in the loss for Palatine.

 

 

ST IGNATIUS TOURNAMENT

New Trier 6 Lyons 3

Lauren Barrett and Maggie Frentzel each scored 2 goals to help New Trier get past Lyons 6-3. Annika Moore, Megan Kotil and Maddie Cordell each scored one goal in the loss for the Lions.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 11 Buffalo Grove 8

Brooke Pair and Emily Mathews each scored 3 goals to lead the Vikings past BG 11-8. Anna Gately put in 4 goals in the loss for the Bison.

 

Lyons 10 Northside 1

Rhyan Komsthoeft tallied 4 scores, Kaysie Stuba netted 2 goals and Maddie Cordell totaled one goal and 4 steals as the Lions defeated Northside 10-1. Annika Moore, Hanna Good and Olivia Land also scored one goal apiece for the winners. Tenzin Wangdak scored the lone goal for the Mustangs.

 

St Ignatius 10 Buffalo Grove 5

Nina Mantich, Stephania Lopez and Tara White each scored 2 goals to help the Wolfpack earn a 10-5 win over Buffalo Grove. Anna Gately scored 3 times in the loss for the Bison.

 

 

STEVENSON TOURNAMENT

Hudsonville 11 Bremen 10

Alaina Lubbers scored 5 times to lead Hudsonville to an 11-10 win over Bremen. Jillian Schultz scored 4 times in the loss for the Red Jaguars.

 

Mother McAuley 10 Okemos 9

Frances Bauer scored the game-winning goal with less than thirty seconds left in regulation to send the Mother McAuley past Okemos 10-9. Maggie Hennigan notched 5 scores to lead the Mighty Macs on the offensive end. Sarah Williams scored 5 goals in the loss for the Chiefs.

 

Fenwick 15 Rockford 1

Catie Wallace tallied 5 scores and Eryn Kulik netted 3 goals in the Friars' 15-1 victory over Rockford. Kelly Frumkin and Jillian Wickham both added 2 goals in the winning effort. Hannah Raymond scored the lone goal for the Rams.

 

Stevenson 13 Hudsonville 4

Allison Travetto poured in 11 goals to lead the Patriots past Hudsonville 13-4. Alaina Lubbers recorded 2 goals in the losing effort.

 

Rockford 5 Bremen 4

Hannah Raymond recorded 3 goals to help Rockford fend off Bremen 5-4 on Saturday. Raymond put in the game-winning goal early in the fourth quarter before the Rams' defense held the Red Jaguars without a goal the rest of the game.

 

Fenwick 16 Okemos 7

Catie Wallace registered 5 goals, Kelly Frumkin scored 4 times and both Clare Durkin and Eryn Kulik each scored 2 times in the Friars' 16-7 win over Okemos.

 

McAuley 12 Hudsonville 8

Paulina Correa scored 4 times and both Annie Kelly and Chloe Ryan scored 2 goals as Mother McAuley got past Hudsonville 12-8. Emily Tuttle and Maddy Jones both scored 2 times in the loss for Hudsonville.

 

Fenwick 11 Bremen 6

Catie Wallace and Eryn Kulik each scored 3 times to lead Fenwick past Bremen 11-6. Elizabeth Minnich and Ashley Siedschlag each scored 2 times in the loss for the Red Jaguars.

 

Stevenson 12 Mother McAuley 11 (OT)

Allison Travetto scored the game-winner in sudden death overtime to send Stevenson past McAuley 12-11 on Saturday afternoon. Travetto scored 9 goals, Claire Haas scored 2 times and Lauren Burns made 15 saves in the win. Paulina Correa scored 5 times, the trio of Erin Breakey, Jill Mueller and Maggie Hennigan each scored once in the loss. Geena Peyton also made 11 saves for the Mighty Macs.

 

 

VERNON HILLS TOURNAMENT

Hoffman 12 Lake Forest 6

Jenny Fermaintt scored 4 goals and Ann Cho netted 3 scores as the Hawks defeated Lake Forest 12-6. Grace Donahue led the Scouts with 5 goals in the losing effort.

 

Maine West 9 Vernon Hills 5

Kristen Burger tallied 4 scores and both Annie Picchiotti and Veronica Dunn scored 2 times to help the Warriors grab a 9-5 victory over Vernon Hills.

 

Highland Park 9 Lake Forest 5

Arianne Cole, Emma Gelberg and Natalie Gelberg each scored 2 goals in the Giants' 9-5 victory over Lake Forest. Catherine Pompe tallied 3 goals and Grace Donahue scored 2 times in the loss for the Scouts.

 

Hoffman 16 Vernon Hills 2

Jenny Fermaintt totaled 5 goals, Ann Cho scored 4 times and Magdiel Miranda-Lopez scored 3 goals as the Hawks defeated Vernon Hills 16-2.

 

Maine West 6 Highland Park 5

Kristen Burger netted 4 goals to help lift the Warriors over Highland Park 6-5. The loss was the first of the 2016 season for the Giants. Emma Gelberg led Highland Park with 2 scores in the loss.

 

Lake Forest 9 Vernon Hills 2

Grace Donahue tallied 5 scores for the Scouts in a 9-2 win over Vernon Hills.

 

Highland Park 7 Hoffman 5

Natalie Gelberg registered 3 scores while Arianne Cole, Emma Gelberg, Julia Solem and Noa Cole all put in one score for the Giants in a 7-5 win over Hoffman. Jenny Fermaintt netted 3 goals and both Casey Rawlings and Maggie Rommel scored once in the losing effort.

 

Maine West 10 Lake Forest 6

Kristen Burger scored 6 goals and Annie Picchiotti tallied 3 scores to lead the Warriors past Lake Forest 10-6. Grace Donahue scored 4 times in the loss for the Scouts.

 

Highland Park 16 Vernon Hills 2

Emma Gelberg, Julia Solem and Natalie Gelberg each scored 3 goals to lead the Giants past Vernon Hills 16-2.

 

Maine West 11 Hoffman 6

Kristen Burger recorded 6 goals as the Warriors mounted a second half comeback in order to beat HEHS 11-6 to win the Vernon Hills Tournament title. Annie Picchiotti also scored 2 goals in the win for West. Jenny Fermaintt tallied 3 scores and Magdiel Miranda-Lopez scored 2 times in the loss for the Hawks.

 

 

YORK TOURNAMENT

York 12 Andrew 3

Isabelle Gil recorded 4 goals to lead the Dukes past Andrew 12-3 on Saturday morning. Jessica Gomez scored 2 goals and Alexys Knight added one score in the loss for the T-Bolts.

 

Barrington 15 Andrew 5

The Fillies opened their account at the York Tournament with a 15-5 win over Andrew. Alyssa Schmidts scored 3 goals and the trio of Isabella Rojas, Mia Latimer and Nicole Runtz scored 2 times in the winning effort. Alexys Knight, Lauren Herald, Jessica Gomez, Mandy Kessler and Sarah Rodgers each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Barrington 6 York 4

Alyssa Schmidts, Mia Latimer and Nicole Runtz each scored 2 times in the Fillies' 6-4 triumph over York. Ellie Connors made 10 saves in the win for Barrington. Grace Achepohl recorded 2 goals in the loss for the hosts.

 

Hersey 9 Andrew 6

The Huskies picked up a fifth-place finish at the York Tourney after beating Andrew 9-6. Jessica Gomez scored 3 goals and Alexys Knight, Cailey Pietrzyk and Lauren Herald each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Naperville North 11 Barrington 2

The Huskies claimed the York Tournament title after beating Barrington 11-2. Statistics for the winners were unavailable. Isabella Rojas and Mia Latimer both scored once while Ellie Connors made 8 saves in the loss for the Fillies.
