Fenwick Beats
SLUH 17-8 to Win DeSmet Tournament; Stagg Takes Seventh Place
Fenwick went 5-0 at the DeSmet
Tournament, beating Missouri's defending champions DeSmet 12-4 and then
defeating SLUH in the title game 17-8 on Saturday night. In the
championship game, the Friars scored the first five goals and jumped out
to a 9-2 lead in the first period to run away with the victory. Connor
Brown scored 6 goals, Matt Farmer added 4 scores, and Viken Huening put in
3 scores to lead Fenwick to their fifth out-of-state win of the weekend.
Meanwhile, Stagg dropped a
morning decision to the top-ranked Friars 16-7 and were tipped by MICDS
12-11 in an afternoon game. They ended the tournament with a 12-7 win over
Marquette in the seventh place game.
Brown, Farmer, and Dan Newell
were named to the All-Tournament Team for the Friars, while Stagg's Juan
Valdez was recognized for his efforts as well. Check below for game

a 16-7 victory over Stagg on Saturday morning. Ted Herbstritt also scored
2 times and Dan Newell and Tommy McGuire combined to make 11 saves in the
win.

Stagg come up one goal short in
their fourth game at the DeSmet Tournament, losing to MICDS 12-11 on
Saturday. Drew Stoffel and Juan Valdez each scored 3 times and Valdez
added 8 steals in the narrow loss for the Chargers.

Dan Kelly registered 3 goals and
Matt Farmer added 2 scores in Fenwick's 12-4 win over DeSmet.
Stagg 12
Marquette 7
Stagg ended the DeSmet
Tournament with a 12-7 victory over Marquette to claim seventh place at
the event. Drake Estrada recorded 3 goals in the win for the Chargers, who
ended the proceedings with a 2-3 record.

SLUH 8
Connor Brown recorded 6 goals,
Matt Farmer added 4 scores, and Viken Huening recorded a hat trick to lead
Fenwick to a 17-8 title game win over SLUH at the DeSmet Tournament. The
Friars led 5-0 at one point and pulled out to a 9-2 lead at the end of the
first quarter en route to their fifth win of the weekend.

Central Claims Another 'Best of the West' Tournament Title
Naperville Central beat
Mundelein 11-7 and Naperville North 15-6 on Saturday to finish the 'Best
of the West' Tournament with a 4-0 record, the fourth straight time they
have won the event. North beat Mundelein 7-6 to claim second place, while
the Mustangs ended the proceedings with a 2-2 mark to finish in third
place.
GBS took fourth place after
beating Buffalo Grove 12-7 and outlasting Hinsdale Central in a 16-15
shootout finish. The Red Devils topped BG 14-11 to finish in fifth place.

McHenry Pulls Away From New Trier in Fourth Quarter to Win NT Tourney
McHenry outscored New Trier by
three goals in the final period to break a deadlock and win the NT
Tournament's title game 11-8 over the hosts. McHenry also earned wins over
Fremd and Lockport, while Jordan Palmer recorded 9 goals and Konrad
VonMoltke totaled 7 scores as New Trier defeated Fremd 17-11 and edged
Lockport 15-14 to start their own event.

Sandburg Beats
St Charles North 13-4 to Win Own Tourney
The Eagles and North Stars both
went 3-0 in the opening round of the Sandburg Tournament to advance to the
title game in Orland Park. In the end, Sandburg won their second straight
tournament title after winning an event at Naperville North last week,

Naperville Central Wins Jenison Tournament
Naperville Central improved to
20-0 after winning all four games at the Jenison Tournament in Michigan
over the weekend. The Redhawks earned a 15-1 title game win over
Hudsonville on Saturday evening to close out their tournament effort. See

Julia Campbell earned a shutout
and Abbey Kerth and Emily Sejna combined to score 9 times in Naperville
Central's 13-0 win over Zeeland. The Redhawks advanced to the first place
bracket of the tournament as a result of the win.

Abbey Kerth scored 6 goals and
Emily Sejna added 4 tallies in NC's 18-6 win over #9 East Kentwood on
Saturday. The Redhawks are just one win away from winning the Jenison
Tournament, which they will try to claim at 5:15pm against Hudsonville.

Emily Sejna scored 6 goals,
Abbey Kerth added 4 scores, and goalie Julia Campbell led a defense that
allowed just one goal as NC won the title game of the Jenison Tournament
by a 15-1 score over Hudsonville. The Redhawks defense conceded just eight
goals in four games at the event.
St Ignatius

H-F Beats St Ignatius 8-6 in Tournament Final
The Vikings and Wolfpack both
went 3-0 in the preliminary round of the St Ignatius Tournament to advance
to Saturday's title game. H-F beat Loyola, Marian, and Waubonsie Valley at
the event, while the hosts downed GBN, Lyons, and New Trier to earn the
chance to win their own tournament. The Vikings prevailed for the second
time this season over the hosts 8-6 to close out the tournament.
Loyola knocked off Lyons 11-7 in
the third place game, New Trier edged Marian 10-8 for fifth place, and
Waubonsie won the seventh place game over GBN 10-3.
Stevenson

Michigan Teams Outlast Illinois Teams at Stevenson Tournament
Okemos outlasted both Fenwick
and Stevenson in overtime to end the Stevenson Tournament with a 4-0
record over the weekend. Overall, the four Michigan teams finished with a
9-7 record against Fenwick, Mother McAuley, Mundelein, and Stevenson.
Stevenson posted the best record
of the Illinois teams, finishing the event with a 3-1 mark. Fenwick and
Mother McAuley both ended up with 2-2 records, while Mundelein went 0-4.
Karen Lowry led all scorers from IL with 13 goals, while teammate Cheyenne
Montijo added 11 goals for the Patriots. Jackie Knightly led McAuley with
8 goals, Cara Borkovec scored 6 times to lead Fenwick, and Karrie Kozokar
recorded 8 goals over the weekend for Mundelein.
St Viator

Prospect Beats LWC 14-7 to Win St Viator Tournament; Viator Finishes in
Third Place
Meg Dix totaled 10 goals in wins
over Lockport and Resurrection and Danijela Jackovich totaled 6 goals in
LWC's victories over BG and St Viator as the two schools advanced to the
title game of the St Viator Tournament. In the final game, Dix scored 8
goals and Jessica Cavaiani added 5 scores to lead the Knights to a 14-7
victory over LWC to claim the tournament title. Jackovich scored 5 goals
in the loss for the other Knights. Dix led all scorers at the event with
25 goals, while Jackovich poured in 18 goals at the two-day event.
Meanwhile, St Viator beat
Lockport 6-1 in the third place game, as Margaret Stefanowski scored 3
goals and Eileen Mallof added 2 scores in the win. Mallof totaled 9 goals
and Melanie Battaglia added 7 scores in the two-day event to lead the
Lions.
Vernon Hills
Tournament
Conant Sweeps
Competition To Win Tournament
Jessica Southern and Katie Varga
combined to score 11 goals and Lucie Banahan made 27 saves as Conant beat
Hoffman, Maine West, and the hosts to claim the Vernon Hills Tournament on
Saturday. The Cougars earned an 8-6 comeback win over the hosts to grab
the title, as Barbara Rose tied the game at 6-6 and Andie Cobb and Varga
each scored in the final period to seal the win.
Vernon Hills ended their own
event in second place, beating Hoffman 7-4 and Maine West 14-4.
Anna Lebiedzinski led the
Cougars with 8 goals and Dana Andrea totaled 5 scores and 17 steals on
Saturday, while goalie Gena Lopez recorded 26 saves.
York
Tournament
Naperville North Bounces Back To Win York Tournament
Emma Ryan made 24 saves and
Taylor Bridgman scored 8 goals to help lead Naperville North to the York
Tournament title after the Huskies beat the hosts 17-9 in the title game.
The winners lost their tournament opener in overtime to Andrew on Friday,
but edged Bremen 4-3 to advance to the final game. Audrey Chien scored 7
times and Megan Nerud added 5 scores over the weekend for the tourney
winners.
Bremen outlasted Barrington to
win the third place game, while Andrew finished the tournament with a 2-1
record after beating R-B 11-1 in the fifth place game.
