The top-ranked Huskies head to Neuqua Valley to take on the Wildcats, who are hoping to deal their rivals their first loss of the 2014 season.

Loyola qualified for state with a goal in the closing seconds of last year's final meeting. Who will gain the momentum in an always-heated rivalry game on Tuesday night?

Lockport 14 Andrew 9

Zach Elias recorded 5 goals and Jake Speechley added 4 scores as Lockport earned a 14-9 victory over Andrew in a key SWSC contest on Tuesday. Jake Jagodzinski added 3 goals and the duo of Tyler Trench and Pat Melaniphy combined to stop 11 shots for the Porters. Joey Tomczuk and Logan Nootbar also put in one goal apiece for the victors. Eric Tamulonis scored 3 goals and drew 5 ejections and both Alex Gacek and Chuck Walters totaled 2 scores in the loss for the T-Bolts, who led 4-1 after the opening period.

Fenwick 20 St Viator 7

Ryan Masi scored 5 goals and Andrew Bertschy put in 4 scores to help Fenwick beat St Viator 20-7 as the Friars clinched a perfect regular season record in the Catholic League on Tuesday night. Bailey Wendt and DJ Perez both added 3 goals in the win for the hosts. Eric Sutton scored 4 goals and the trio of Brennan McGuire, Keegan Finn, and Shea Boyer each scored once in the loss for the Lions.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 10 Bradley 3

Broc Thompson notched 5 scores and Jakobi McClellan stopped 13 shots in the Vikings' 10-3 victory over Bradley on Tuesday. Haden Santefort also scored 2 times in the win for H-F.

 

Maine South 16 Elk Grove 8

Makai DeNeve-Arnam totaled 7 goals and Phil Wachowski added 4 scores in Maine South's 16-8 win over Elk Grove in nonconference action on Tuesday. Chris Doruff netted 4 goals in the loss for the Grenadiers.

 

Naperville North 13 Neuqua Valley 8

Nolan Roberts recorded 4 goals, Drake McClure scored 3 times, and Joe Tomashek notched 2 scores as the top-ranked Huskies beat Neuqua Valley 13-8. BD Chapman, Gianmarco Duin, Garrett Nash, and Joe Cassano each added one goal in the winning effort. Ian Ivkovich scored 3 times and both Joey Dalesando and Simon Shatinsky tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Wildcats. Scott DePuy also notched one score in the loss for the visitors.

 

Sandburg 8 Lincoln-Way Central 7

Mitch Zieler and Zach Roper combined to score 5 goals as the Eagles fended off LWC 8-7. Tristan Funk scored 4 times and Pat Burke netted 2 goals in the loss for the Knights.

 

Stagg 12 Lincoln-Way West 5

Zack Amendola netted 5 goals and Lane Holin blocked 15 shots as the Chargers beat LWW 12-5.

 

STC East 11 Maine West 10

Tyler VanGyseghem connected on the game-winning goal with eight seconds left in regulation to lift STC East over Maine West 11-10 on Tuesday. VanGyseghem recorded 4 goals and John Tarpey put in 3 scores as the Saints used a 5-0 run in the second half to stun the Warriors. Sabastien Hernandez scored 5 times in the loss for West.

 

Waubonsie Valley 14 York 10

The Warriors defended their turf and pulled off a 14-10 upset over York on Tuesday in Aurora. Wil Hubert and Matt Rodriguez both scored 3 goals and Casey Callans added 2 scores in the loss for the visitors.

 

Wheeling 10 Lake Forest 5

Nate Reiff totaled 5 goals and 3 assists to help lift the Wildcats over Lake Forest 10-5 on Tuesday.

New Trier 5 Loyola 2

Stephanie Jodloman scored 3 times and both Lauren Barrett and Shannon Kent scored once as New Trier outscored Loyola 4-0 in the second half to emerge with a 5-2 victory on Tuesday night. Keelin Frank and Zoe Gottlieb combined to save 7 shots in the win for the Trevians. Alana Dean and Marta Considine each scored once in the loss for Loyola.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Andrew 15 Lockport 3

Megan Hofer scored 9 goals and Genny McCarthy netted 5 scores in Andrew's 15-3 victory over Lockport. Courtney Carter added one goal and Anna Tamulonis made 10 saves in the win for the T-Bolts.

 

Evanston 4 Maine East 3 (OT)

Honore Collins scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Wildkits outlasted Maine East 4-3. Collins totaled 3 goals and Olivia Everhart made 17 saves in the dramatic win for Evanston.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 7 Bradley 6

Megan Dunlavy scored 5 goals and Rebecca Tanner made 14 saves as the Vikings edged Bradley 7-6 on Tuesday. Andrea Stilts and Kelly Morrissey each added one goal in the win for H-F. Rachel Thorson led the Lady Boilers with 4 goals and both Celine Dalde and Regan Warmoth added one goal in the losing effort.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 8 Sandburg 4

Kristi Howe totaled 5 goals and Sabrina Miglorini made 19 saves as the Knights knocked off Sandburg 8-4. Delaney Shepard, Liz Klock, and Michelle Dundek each added one goal in the win for Central.

 

Naperville Central 14 Whitney Young 1

Michelle Spaits recorded 4 goals, Beth Ryan added 3 scores, and both Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove put in 2 goals in the Redhawks' 14-1 win over Whitney Young. Jessica Fox, Kristina Altuve, and Niki Kolbe all scored once and Faith Vandercar blocked 6 shots in the winning effort.

 

Naperville North 11 Neuqua Valley 1

Katie Horn scored 4 goals, Jilian Eiken tallied 3 scores, and Kate MacDuff saved 8 shots as the Huskies got out to a 9-0 halftime lead en route to an 11-1 victory over Neuqua Valley. Alyssa Kolenda, Caitlin Holzer, Dani DiMatteo, and Taylor Stoner and each added one goal in the win for North. Morgan Miller scored the lone goal in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Wheeling 19 Elk Grove 2

Emily Sowa and Theresa Godlewski both registered 5 goals and Rachel Ropski put in 4 scores to help the Wildcats beat Elk Grove 19-2. Argelia Diaz and Juliana Isayeva both added 2 goals and Adrienne Rozmus scored once in the win for Wheeling.

 

York 13 Waubonsie Valley 11

Perri Brinkmeier registered 6 goals, Kirsten Rasnic netted 3 goals, and Lauren Tamm put in 2 goals as the Dukes beat Waubonsie Valley 13-11.
