ST PATRICK TOURNAMENT

H-F Literally Shoots Out The Competition To Win St Patrick Tournament

Homewood-Flossmoor won all three of their games on Saturday via shootout to walk away from the St Patrick Tournament with a 4-0 record and a ton of experience in pressure-packed situations. The Vikings moved to the first-place group after beating Waubonsie Valley 10-9, as Kevin Kuchta and Henry Weeks each scored 3 goals. Then, they outlasted Fremd 14-13 behind 3 goals from Kuchta and Zack Peterson. Finally, the Vikings edged the hosts 9-7, with Peterson scoring 3 times in the victory. On the day, goalie Jakobi McClellan made 29 saves and Kuchta totaled 29 steals.

Fremd beat St Patrick 3-1 to claim second place, while the host Shamrocks finished third after beating Evanston and Whitney Young on Friday night.
