VERNON HILLS TOURNAMENT

Conant Bounces Back At Vernon Hills
Just one week after losing all three games at a Glenbrook Tournament, Conant went 3-0 at the Vernon Hills Tournament to win the event. Angie Skittone and Carmen Rosas combined to score 20 goals and Maddy Demaret saved 35 shots and scored 3 goals in the winning effort for the Cougars. Carly Romano scored 10 times in a second-place finish for Maine West, while Kasia Serwin's 5 goals helped Hoffman end the day in the third place by beatiing the hosts 3-2.

Conant 8 Hoffman 4

Carmen Rosas notched 4 scores and Angie Skittone put in 2 goals in the Cougars' 8-4 win over Hoffman. Maddy Demaret added a goal and made 9 saves, while Rosas and Kaitlyn Claffey each totaled 4 steals on the defensive end for the winners. Kasia Serwin scored 2 times in the loss for the Hawks.

Conant 12 Vernon Hills 5

Carmen Rosas scored 6 goals, Angie Skittone netted 3 goals, and Maddy Demaret added 10 saves and a goal in Conant's 12-5 victory over Vernon Hills. Kaitlyn Claffey also totaled a goal and 4 steals for the Cougars. Morgan Levy led the hosts with 3 scores in the losing effort.

Conant 9 Maine West 2

Angie Skittone tallied 3 scores, Carmen Rosas added 2 goals, and Maddy Demaret made 16 saves as the Cougars finished a perfect day at the Vernon Hills Tournament after a 9-2 win over Maine West. Carly Romano scored both goals in the loss for the Warriors, who finished in second place with a 2-1 mark.
