Stevenson Preps For Second Half With Mini-Tourney Win
The Patriots used a balanced attack on both the offensive and defensive ends to beat Fremd and Metea Valley and head to Week 7 with a great deal of positive momentum. Alex Kanaris, Ashley Oliver, Jenna Oliver, Brittant Gartenberg, and Melissa Gartenberg each put in key performances for Stevenson, while Becky Callen and Lauren Burns starred in goal for the Patriots on Saturday. The Vikings built off Friday's win over Sandburg by beating Metea Valley 10-7 behind Emma Hoffman's 4-goal performance.

Ashley Oliver scored 4 goals and Brittany Gartenberg netted 3 scores in Stevenson's 14-8 win over Metea Valley. Becky Callen and Lauren Burns combined to make 12 saves for the Patriots' defense. Emily Soria scored 3 times, Leah Hummel put in 2 goals, and Cara Romeo made 7 saves in the loss for the Mustangs.

Fremd 10 Metea Valley 7

Emma Hoffman tallied 4 scores and Sam DiCanio added 2 goals in Fremd's 10-7 win over Metea Valley. Lindsay Raczak recorded 3 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

Stevenson 11 Fremd 5

Jenna Oliver and Melissa Gartenberg each scored 3 times and Alex Kanaris added 2 goals as Stevenson topped Fremd 11-5. Becky Callen also stopped 9 shots in the Patriots win. Mandy Borre led the Vikings' attack with 2 goals.
