LYONS TOURNAMENT
Lions Keep On Rolling
With Another Tournament Title
The Lions weren't playing games at their own event this weekend;
they followed up last weekend's York Tournament title by beating Loyola,
Stevenson, and York in demonstrative fashion to win their second event of
the 2013 season. Oak Park and Stevenson tied for third after finishing in
a 5-5 deadlock, while St Ignatius defeated York 12-3 in the fifth-place

Friday's Game Recaps
Loyola 11 York 4
Jack Considine recorded 4 goals and both Cameron Shewchuck and George Finn both
tallied 2 scores in the Ramblers 11-4 win over York.
Stevenson 12 St Ignatius 7
Taylor Baretz recorded 4 goals and both Mitchell Sokolsky and Remy Dalloul
scored 3 times as Stevenson defeated St Ignatius 12-7.
Oak Park 12 York 7
Mark Hallman scored 4 goals and Alex Darnall chipped in with 3 scores in Oak
Park's 12-7 win over York. Chris Brandt also registered 2 scores in the win for
the Huskies.
Lyons 12 St Ignatius 2
Peter Dore recorded 5 goals to help lead the Lions past St Ignatius 12-2. Shane
Hughes and Jesus Juarez both netted one score in the loss for the Wolfpack.
Saturday's Game Recaps
Lyons 15 Stevenson 6
The hosts advanced to their own event's title game by outlasting Stevenson
15-6 on Saturday afternoon. Varun Mummadi led the Patriots on the
offensive end with 3 goals, while goaltender Robbie O'Brien made 14 saves
in the losing effort.
Oak Park 7 Loyola 7
The Huskies and Ramblers finished in a 7-7 draw, with Loyola advancing to
the title game via tiebreaker. Mark Hallman scored 4 goals, Nathan
Pimentel added 2 scores and 6 steals, and Lee Werner added one score for ORPF. Jack Considine led the Ramblers with 4 goals, Cameron Shewchuck
tallied 2 scores, and Ray Lynch tacked on one goal in the tie.
St Ignatius 12 York 3 (5th place)
The Wolfpack ended the weekend with their first win, beating York 12-3 in
the event's fifth place game.
Oak Park 5 Stevenson 5 (3rd place)
For the second straight time, Oak Park's game ended in a draw, as the
Huskies and Patriots ended the third-place game tied at 5-5. Mark Hallman
recorded 3 goals, Kyle Patnode and Nathan Pimentel both scored once, and
Sean Obrecht denied 8 shots in goal. Taylor Baretz tallied 2 scores and
Josh Weisberg, Mitchell Sokolsky, and Varun Mummadi each scored once in
the draw for Stevenson, while goalie Robbie O'Brien made 17 saves.
Lyons 14 Loyola 8 (1st place)
The Lions won their own event with a 3-0 record after beating Loyola 14-8
in the championship game. In the loss, Cameron Shewchuck and Jack Nickele
each tallied 2 scores for the Ramblers.
