Loyola held off St Rita 11-10. Mike Hernandez scored 5 times in the loss
for the Mustangs.

David Sekula recorded an
impressive 10 goals to lead Lyons to a 12-4 victory over visiting H-F on
Monday evening. Kovas Zygas put in the other 2 goals for Lions. Kevin
Kuchta recorded 2 goals in the loss for the Vikings.
Palatine 11 Mundelein 8
Kamil Mulawa scored 4 goals and
Dan Sommerfield totaled 8 blocks and 4 steals as Palatine jumped out to a
5-1 halftime lead and held on for an 11-8 victory over Mundelein. Dylan
Weissman and Keith McIntosh both added 2 scores in the win for the
Pirates. Frank Lukacs scored 3 times and AJ Caughey added 2 scores in the
losing effort for the Mustangs, who evened the game at 6-6 in the third
quarter before the Pirates put together a 4-0 second half run to put the
game away.
GIRLS
Bremen 19 Lincoln-Way West 3
Hannah Schultz recorded 7 goals
and Emma Martinus added 6 scores as Bremen defeated LWW 19-3. Vasi
Vasilopoulos made 12 saves and Jessie Mroczek totaled 8 assists and 9
steals in the Red Jaguars' win.
Homewood-Flossmoor 10 Lyons 8 (OT)
Annie Schloen and Rebecca
Mathews both scored overtime goals as H-F survived a furious fourth
quarter rally by Lyons to earn a 10-8 win over the defending state
champions. The Vikings led 8-4 entering the final period, but Katie
Calvert, Kirby Kaptur, and Madelon Craig each recorded goals to cut the
lead to 8-7. On LT's last possession, Craig scored with 0:10 remaining in
regulation to send the game to overtime.
In the first overtime period,
Mathews connected on a shot from outside five meters at the 1:54 mark to
end the LT run and give H-F a 9-8 lead. Schloen sealed the win with her
second goal of the game with 0:47 left and the Vikings' defense put the
clamps down on the defensive end to finalize a 10-8 win.
Michelle Mayer scored 4 goals to
lead the Vikings, while Schloen and Hannah Ongman both scored 2 times.
Sophie Schloen made 14 saves in the H-F win. Craig, Kaptur, and Lizzy
Kosin each scored 2 goals for the Lions, while Grace Trilla blocked 13
shots in the losing effort.
Loyola 8 Marian 7
Devin Green's last second shot
attempt was blocked by Kate Ansani as Loyola hung on for a 8-7 win over
Marian on Monday night. Brittany Wallace and Evan Swenson both scored 2
times in the Ramblers' win. Meanwhile, Green made 17 saves and Amy
Martello scored 4 times in the conference loss for the Spartans.

Kelly Buchanan tallied 3 goals
and both Megan Gillespie and Megan Quigley scored 2 times as Northside
downed Young 8-1.

Meg Dix recorded 6 goals,
Jessica Cavaiani and Lydia Kafader both added 3 scores, and Lisa Mazur
tallied 2 goals in Prospect's 15-6 victory over Elk Grove. Tori Thompson
also made 11 saves in the win for the Knights. Kathryn Noonan scored 2
times in the loss for the Grenadiers.
