Victor Perez registered 4 goals and Sam Szczepaniak scored 3 times as
the Lions opened up their own event by beating York 14-7 on Friday
evening. George Lundgren and Ryan Hammond both added 2 goals while the
trio of Anthony Berley, Ben Ezsias and Michael Zahorik each chipped in
with one score for the hosts. Tim Evely recorded 3 goals, Alex Marlott
scored 2 times and both Danny Stumpf and Parker Hicks scored once for
the Dukes.
Loyola 13 Young 11
Matt Merucci scored 5 times, Michael Considine tallied 4 scores and
Walter Haracz made 10 saves in the Ramblers' 13-11 victory over Whitney
Young. Kevin Manna added 2 scores while Larkin Flanagan and Quinn Carr
each scored once in the win. Duncan McDonald totaled 4 scores in the
loss for the Dolphins.
St Ignatius 12 Oak Park 7
Shane Hughes notched 7 scores and Andreas Christy scored 2 times in the
Wolfpack's 12-7 triumph over Oak Park. Casey Nurnberger, Jack Dunn and
Theo Mossman each scored once and Sam Enger made 9 saves in the victory.
Lawrence Cozzi netted 4 scores, Leo Manola scored 2 times and Matt
Mitrovich put in one score in the loss for the Huskies.

George Lundgren registered 3 goals while Adam Cardone and Sam
Szczepaniak each tallied 2 scores in the Lions' 8-5 win over Loyola.
Michael Zahorik also scored once in the win for LT. Matt Merucci scored
2 goals while the trio of Chris Jovanovich, Danny McGowan and Michael
Considine each scored once in the loss.

Tim Evely scored 7 goals and Parker Hicks added 3 scores in the Dukes'
17-7 victory over the Dolphins. Alex Marlott also scored 2 times in the
winning effort. Dan Rusca scored 4 goals and Benjamin Liu put in 2
scores in the loss for Whitney Young.
St Ignatius 11 Loyola 10
Shane Hughes scored the game-winning goal with six seconds left as the
Wolfpack outlasted Loyola 11-10 on Saturday. Hughes notched 4 scores
while Andreas Christy and Finn Connors each tallied 2 scores to help the
Wolfpack earn the win. Matt Merucci recorded 6 goals and Max Ashurst put
in 2 scores in the loss for the Ramblers.
Oak Park 11 Whitney Young 10
Lawrence Cozzi tallied 6 goals, Matt Mitrovich scored 3 times and Kevin
Obrecht stopped 13 shots in the Huskies' 11-10 win over Whitney Young.
Leo Manola and Thomas Wolfe each added one goal in the win for OPRF.
Lyons 18 St Ignatius 9
Sam Szczepaniak registered 6 goals as the Lions used a 10-2 run in the
second half to pull away from St Ignatius in order to earn an 18-9
victory in the virtual title game of the event.
York 16 Oak Park 6
The Dukes ended the event by locking up a fourth place finish after a
16-6 win over Oak Park. Alex Marlott, Danny Stumpf, Nik Miklyukh and Tim
Evely each scored 3 goals while Parker Hicks scored 2 times for the
winners. Leo Manola
scored 3 times, Lawrence Cozzi netted 2 goals and Kevin Obrecht made 12
saves in the losing effort.
