Friday's Game Recaps
Fenwick 13 York 7
Matt Bresnahan recorded 4 goals and both Justin White and Tony Perez netted
2 scores in Fenwick's 13-7 win over York. York was led by Joe Kesslering's 2
goals, while Alex Waldherr, Matt Rodriguez, Nick Salek, Patrick McKenna, and
Wil Hubert each tallied one score in the loss.
Lyons 17 Mundelein 5
Joe Shannon and Peter Dore each scored 4 times and the trio of James Bailey,
Josh Hirt, and Michael Dow all put in 2 goals in the Lions' 17-5 victory
over Mundelein. George Lundgren, Sean McMahon, and Thomas Waters each added
one goal in the LT win. Jason Rehor tallied 3 goals in the loss for the
Mustangs.
Fenwick 16 Loyola 5
Matt Bresnahan led the Friars with 5 goals and Danny Farmer put in 3 goals
in Fenwick's 16-5 victory over Loyola on Friday. Bailey Wendt and Trevor
McLean each scored 2 times, while Billy Golden, Justin White, Mike
Mahoney, and Omar Calderon each added their name to the scoresheet with
one goal apiece in the win. Ben Pasquesi and George Finn scored 2 goals
each and Jack Considine notched one score for the Ramblers.
Lyons 19 Niles West 3
George Duffy and Joe Shannon recorded 4 goals each and Peter Dore notched
3 scores in LT's 19-3 win over Niles West. Michael Dow also scored 2 goals
and six other players added one goal apiece (George Lundgren, John
Gallucci, Josh Hirt, Matt McDonnell, Sean McMahon, Tommy Kaptur). Kyle
Patt led the Wolves with 2 scores and Andrew Mudreac tallied one goal in
the loss.
SLUH 14 York 4
St Louis University High got off to a rousing start after a five-hour
journey to Elmhurst as their stifling defense helped them beat York 14-4.
Alex Waldherr scored 2 times and Patrick McKenna and Wil Hubert both
scored once in the loss for the hosts.

SLUH 16 Loyola 8
Missouri's top-ranked team earned their second win of the York Tournament
by getting past Loyola 16-8. Cameron Shewchuck scored 3 times and both
Jack Considine and Jack Nickele put in 2 goals in the loss for the
Ramblers.
Niles West 15 Mundelein 6
Max Romanelli poured in 7 goals, Kyle Patt tallied 3 scores, and Andrew
Mudreac and Steven Renko each netted 2 goals in the Wolves' 15-6 victory
over Mundelein. Art Kasemets and Jason Rehor both scored 2 times in the
loss for the Mustangs.
Loyola 14 York 5
Jack Considine recorded 4 goals, Trevor Prince notched 3 scores, and
Cameron Shewchuck tallied 2 goals as Loyola defeated the hosts 14-5. Wil
Hubert led the Dukes with 3 goals in the loss.
SLUH 9 Fenwick 8 (OT)
St Louis University High took an 8-7 lead with under one minute left in
regulation, but Fenwick responded with the game-tying goal with just eight
seconds remaining to send the game to extra time. The visitors from
Missouri scored with 2:03 remaining in the first sudden-death overtime to
beat the Friars 9-8. Tony Perez scored 3 goals, both Andrew Bertschy and
Matt Bresnahan put in 2 goals, and Trevor McLean tallied one score in the
loss for the Friars.
Lyons 14 Oak Park 0
Joe Shannon recorded 7 goals and Peter Dore notched 3 scores as Lyons
shutout Oak Park 14-0 to move on to the York Tournament's title game.
Michael Dow also scored 2 goals and Josh Hirt and Tommy Kaptur each put in
one score for the winners.
York 13 Mundelein 5 (7th place)
Patrick McKenna put in 5 scores and Matt Rodriguez registered 4 scores in
the Dukes' 13-5 victory over Mundelein. Alex Waldherr and Wil Hubert both
scores 2 times for the victors. Jason Rehor scored 4 times in the loss for
the Mustangs.
Loyola 13 Niles West 7 (5th place)
Cameron Shewchuck scored 4 goals, Ben Pasquesi netted 3 scores, and Jack
Nickele notched 2 scores in Loyola's 13-7 triumph over Niles West.
Fenwick 9 Oak Park 7 (3rd place)
Danny Farmer, Matt Bresnahan, and Tony Perez each scored 2 times as
Fenwick held off Oak Park 9-7 in the third-place game of the York
Tournament. Omar Calderon and Trevor McLean also scored one goal each for
the victors. Mark Hallman recorded 3 goals, Nathan Pimentel added 2 goals,
and Lee Werner and Alex Darnall both scored once for the Huskies.
Lyons 15 SLUH 4 (1st place)
Joe Shannon and Josh Hirt each scored 4 goals and Peter Dore netted 3
scores as Lyons roared to a 15-4 win over SLUH in the title game of the
York Tournament. Michael Dow and Sean McMahon each added 2 scores for the
tournament winners.
