GAME PREVIEWS (Saturday, April 6)

TOURNAMENT TO WATCH

YORK TOURNAMENT

The Dukes host an ultra-competitive, eight-team tournament that features the top-ranked teams from IL and MO. Fenwick and Missouri's St Louis University High are in the same group with the hosts and Loyola, while second-ranked Lyons heads a four-team group that includes Mundelein, Niles West, and Oak Park.

OTHER KEY TOURNAMENTS

ELK GROVE TOURNAMENT

The Grenadiers host a six-team tournament on Saturday that features Andrew, Hoffman, Hersey, Maine East, and Maine South. The first six games determine the championship round schedule, with the first place game wrapping things up in the afternoon. Andrew edged Maine South for the title in last year's event.

GBS TOURNAMENT

The four team field at the Glenbrook South Tournament includes Conant, Hinsdale Central, and Lincoln-Way West. With the same four teams in attendance last season, the Cougars and Red Devils both ended the day without a loss after finishing their matchup tied at 9-9. Will either team get the upper hand in 2013, or will the hosts or the Warriors shake things up this time around?

NAPERVILLE NORTH TOURNAMENT

Half of the six-team field at the Naperville North Tournament ended up qualifying for state last season, so keep a close eye on the results of Saturday's proceedings. The third-ranked Huskies are joined by Fremd, Sandburg, Schaumburg, Stagg, and STC North. The hosts edged Sandburg by one goal in the preliminary round before beating Fremd for the event's title last season.

GAME PREVIEWS (Saturday, April 6)

Florida's St Thomas Aquinas is also in the mix, while Evanston and H-F round out the impressive field. Saturday begins with the consolation round, is followed by a pair of semifinal round games, and ends with a championship round that could be considered a preview of next month's state tournament.

OTHER KEY TOURNAMENTS

BARRINGTON TOURNAMENT

The Fillies host an area-based tournament that includes Lake Forest, Libertyville, and Vernon Hills in a six game event that kicks off on Saturday morning. The hosts will be looking to defend their title after ending last year's edition with a 3-0 mark.
