YORK TOURNAMENT

SLUH 13 Mundelein 3

Chris Kreinkamp recorded 6 goals and Joe Jellinek scored 3 times as SLUH defeated Mundelein 13-3.

 

Fenwick 12 Niles West 0

Mickey McGuire scored 4 goals, Chez Daggs netted 2 scores and David Francisco earned a shutout as the Friars blanked Niles West 12-0.

 

SLUH 11 York 5

Chris Kreinkamp notched 3 scores to lead the Jr Billikens to an 11-5 win over the hosts. Jordan Jopes put in 2 scores in the loss for the Dukes.

 

Mundelein 13 Niles West 7

Nick Oleinik recorded 5 goals and both Matt Schaedel and Mike Ward scored 2 times in the Mustangs' 13-7 victory over Niles West. Mucas Brace and Mustafa Khan both tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Wolves.

 

New Trier 13 York 12 (OT)

Michael Krueger scored 3 goals to help lift the Trevians over York 13-12 in overtime on Saturday. Tim Evely scored 5 times in the loss for the hosts.

 

Lyons 13 St Ignatius 11

Sam Szczepaniak registered 5 goals to lead the defending champs past St Ignatius 13-11. Shane Hughes tallied 6 goals, Andreas Christy and Finnbar Connors each scored 2 times and Jack Dunn put in one goal for the Wolfpack.

 

Mundelein 12 Fenwick 4

Nick Oleinik totaled 5 goals and 9 steals and both Mike Ward and Matt Schaedel scored 2 times as the Mustangs earned a 12-4 victory over Fenwick.

 

Lyons 7 Loyola 6

George Lundgren and Sam Szczepaniak each scored 2 goals as the Lions fended off Loyola 7-6 to win the York Tournament. Adam Cardone, Michael Zahorik and Victor Perez each added one score for the event winners. Larkin Flanagan and Michael Considine both scored 2 goals while Cole Morgan and Max Ashurst each tallied one score in the loss.

 

SLUH 14 New Trier 6

Chris Kreinkamp recorded 4 goals to lead SLUH past New Trier 14-6 as the Missouri-based squad ended their travels with a 3-1 record at the York Tournament. Alex Holme, Charlie Ryan, Danilo Skecic, Henry Yavitt, Michael Krueger and Sam Yavitt all scored once in the loss for the Trevians.

 

St Ignatius 9 Loyola 4

Shane Hughes registered 6 goals, Andreas Christy scored 2 times and Moises Lopez added one goal in the Wolfpack's 9-4 win over Loyola. Kevin Manna notched 2 scores while Cole Morgan and Michael Considine both scored once in the loss.

 

 

ST PATRICK TOURNAMENT

Lincoln-Way East 9 Homewood-Flossmoor 7

The Griffins staved off a late rally from H-F and scored an insurance goal in the closing seconds in order to earn a 9-7 win over H-F. Travis Tanner scored 4 goals, Johnnie Schmidt netted 2 scores and Luke Santefort blocked 12 shots in the loss.

 

Bremen 13 St Rita 8

Alex Hollowa totaled 5 goals and Michael Feeley added 5 scores as Bremen defeated St Rita 13-8.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 8 Maine South 7 (OT)

Travis Tanner recorded 3 goals and both Johnnie Schmidt and Michael Bonthron tallied 2 scores as the Vikings outlasted Maine South in overtime 8-7. John Weeks added one score while Luke Santefort totaled 13 saves and 3 assists in the win.

 


 

 

 

FENWICK TOURNAMENT

Fenwick 16 Mundelein 4

Catie Wallace recorded 5 goals to lead the Friars past Mundelein 16-4. Amanda Garcia scored 2 times in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Lyons 6 Loyola 5

Kaysie Stuba delivered the game-winning goal with :08 left in regulation to send the Lions past Loyola 6-5 on Saturday morning. Stuba's shot into the left corner came after she drew a foul outside of five meters just seconds after Claire Voss had tied the game at 5-5 with a backhand from two meters on the other end.

 

St Ignatius 10 Naperville North 2

Stephania Lopez scored 4 goals to help lead the Wolfpack past Naperville North 10-2. Isabella Rocco put in both scores in the loss for the Huskies.

 

New Trier 14 Mundelein 2

Julia Green scored 3 goals as New Trier emerged with a 14-2 win over Mundelein. Abbie Lukas and Jessica Peterson each scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

St Ignatius 12 New Trier 4

Diana Fernandez netted 8 goals and Brianna Gist scored 2 times as the Wolfpack erased an early 2-0 deficit to beat New Trier 12-4. Nina Mantich and Tara White both added one goal for the winners. Isabelle Riggio, Lauren Barrett, Julia Green and Sarah Caywood each put in one goal for the Trevians in the losing effort.

 

Fenwick 10 Mother McAuley 10

Fenwick and Mother McAuley finished their championship round fixture tied at 10-10 after a see-saw battle ended in thrilling fashion. Catie Wallace was left open for a breakaway attempt but her shot was released and converted just after the final horn sounded and the goal was correctly disallowed. Wallace recorded 3 goals and both Clare Durkin and Eryn Kulik scored 2 times for the Friars. Paulina Correa scored 4 goals and Jill Mueller netted 3 scores for the Mighty Macs.

 

Loyola 13 Naperville North 4

Alana Dean notched 4 scores and Claire Voss scored 3 times in the Ramblers' 13-4 win over Naperville North. Isabella Rocco led the Huskies' offense with 2 scores in the loss.

 

St Ignatius 14 Lyons 5

Stephania Lopez totaled 4 goals and Nina Mantich scored 3 times as the Wolfpack got past Lyons 14-5.

 

Stevenson 11 Mother McAuley 6

Allison Travetto scored 7 goals and Amelia Eastman, Claire Haas, Lauren Maloney and Tanya Shkiler scored once as the defending champions overcame an early 2-1 deficit by using a 5-0 run to earn an 11-6 victory over the Mighty Macs. Maggie Hennigan scored 2 times while Frances Bauer, Jill Mueller, Julie Olivares, and Paulina Correa each scored once in the loss for McAuley.

 

Loyola 11 Mundelein 0

Alana Dean and Emma Kyle both scored 3 goals and Claire Voss tallied 2 scores in the Ramblers' 11-0 shutout of Mundelein. Hannah Rapp and Meg Dixon combined to earn the shutout for the winners.

 

New Trier 5 Lyons 3

Sarah Caywood netted 2 goals and Lauren Barrett scored the eventual game-winning goal late in the final period as New Trier held off Lyons 5-3. Emma Valdiserri and Julia Green also scored once for the winners. Annika Moore, Kaysie Stuba and Maddie Cordell all scored once in the loss for the Lions.
