Mundelein got off to a 5-3 first
quarter lead, but H-F held them to just four goals the rest of the way to
emerge with a 12-9 home win on Saturday afternoon. Shay Banton totaled 5
goals, both Caleb Peterson and Zach Peterson recorded 2 scores, and Jacob
Bodnar blocked 9 shots in the victory for the Vikings. Sean Falconer
tallied 3 goals and Frank Lukacs and Will Davidson each added 2 goals in
the losing effort.

Brother Rice Beats St Patrick To Win Own Tournament; Loyola Edges St Rita
(in a shootout) for Third Place
The hosts beat Lockport, Loyola,
and Sandburg to advance to the title game of their own tournament, where
they beat St Patrick 10-6. Loyola stunned Sandburg 8-7 late in the afternoon on Saturday,
moving the Ramblers into the third place game, which they won against St Rita
9-6 in a shootout. Sandburg beat Hinsdale
Central 18-7 in the fifth place game, while Lockport ended the weekend
with a 10-5 victory over York in the seventh place game.

Brendan Hulseman scored 4 goals
and Robbie O'Connor made 15 saves as Loyola battled back from an early 3-1
deficit to beat Sandburg 8-7 and advance to the third place game of the
Brother Rice Tournament.
Loyola 9 St
Rita 6
The Ramblers finished the
tournament with a 3-1 record after beating St Rita 9-6 via shootout
after the teams ended regulation tied at 6-6. Trailing 5-2 in the final
period, Charlie Dowdle scored 2 times as part of a 4-1 run to help send
the game into extra time. In the shootout, Dowdle, Hulseman, and Danny Stauder connected on shots while goalie Robbie O'Connor made a key save to
give Loyola the victory.
GIRLS
Loyola 10 Sandburg 6
Brittany Wallace and Sarah Gross
both scored 3 times and Kristina Alexander totaled 7 saves and 3 steals as
Loyola beat Sandburg 10-6 on Saturday morning in Orland Park. Evan Swenson
added 2 goals for the Ramblers, while the Loyola defense recorded 17
steals in the win.

Lincoln-Way West 10
Leah McCarthy recorded 4 goals
and Lindsey Tamulonis added 2 scores as Andrew held off LWW 11-10 in the
third place game of the LWE Tournament on Saturday evening. Jordan
Bartolini and Marge Joyce combined to make 12 saves in the win for the
T-Bolts. Allison Rocha scored 6 goals and Becca Beeson made 11 saves in
the close loss for the Warriors.

East 10 Richards 7
Brittany Becvar and Zoe McCabe
both scored 4 times as LWE won their own tournament after beating Richards
10-7 on Saturday. Mary Reilly added a goal, 4 assists, and 3 steals for
the Griffins, while Trisha Paul stopped 7 shots in the victory.
Lisa Gorksi scored 4 times
and drew 11 ejections, while Sam Craig added 2 scores in the loss for the
Bulldogs.
