Rice and Pats Win Two; Hinsdale Central and Sandburg Also Earn Wins
The hosts beat Lockport 9-6 and
St Patrick topped St Rita 13-2 in the first two games of the Brother Rice
Tournament on Friday night.
Hinsdale Central jumped out to a
6-1 lead and never looked back as they beat WSC foe York 13-8 in the
night's third game. Brother Rice earned their second win of the day with a
10-6 victory over Loyola in game number four on Friday night as well. St
Patrick beat York 12-7 and Sandburg ended the evening with an 18-7 win
over Lockport.

East Tournament
Lincoln-Way East 10 Lincoln-Way North 3
Mary Reilly totaled 5 goals and
4 assists to help lead LWE to a 10-3 victory over LWN. Trisha Paul made 9
saves in the win for the triumphant Griffins.
Andrew 16 R-B 1
Abby Wrobel and Kelly
Baumgartner each recorded 3 goals as Andrew rolled to a 16-1 win over R-B
on Friday. Jamie Siebert, Leah McCarthy, Lindsay Tamulonis, and Liz Burke
each added 2 scores and goalie Marge Joyce made 8 saves and allowed only
one goal in the T-Bolts' victory.
Lincoln-Way West 18 Lincoln-Way Central 16
Lauren Majewski scored 5 goals,
Allison Rocha added 4 scores, and Becca Beeson made 18 saves as LWW beat
LWC 18-16 in the opening round of the Lincoln-Way Tournament on Friday.
Morgan Judge and Sara Carse each added 3 scores in the win for the
Warriors. Danijela Jackovich scored 11 goals and Brittany Knowlton added 4
scores in the loss for the Knights.

Andrea Jaramillo scored 5 times and Lisa Gorski added 4 scores as Richards
held off Schaumburg 10-9 in overtime. Lauren Gorksi made 16 saves in the
win for the Bulldogs.

Julie Warren scored 4 times and
both Emily Koss and Mary Reilly put in 3 scores as Lincoln-Way East held
off Andrew 13-7 to move on to the title game of their own tournament. The
Griffins' outscored the T-Bolts 4-0 in the second quarter to build a 6-1
halftime lead en route to their second victory of the night. Leah McCarthy
scored 3 goals in the loss for Andrew.
Richards 14 Lincoln-Way
West 8
Lisa Gorski recorded 8 goals and 5 assists and Lauren Gorski made 17 saves
in Richards' 14-8 win over LWW. The victory moved the Bulldogs into the
championship game of the LWE Tournament.
