TOURNAMENT REPORT
Preview
Lincoln-Way East's annual bracket-style tournament kicks off on Friday night
with two pools being used to host games. The opening-round winners will meet in
the semifinal round before the night is over, with the winners playing for the
title at East on Saturday afternoon. LWE won the event in 2014.

the Knights earned a 14-3 victory over Lockport.

Aoife Burke, Beth Koson, and Deanna Koeckritz each scored 2 goals
and Catherine Stouffer stopped 10 shots as the T-Bolts knocked off
Richards 9-5. Alexys Knight, Cailey Pietrzyk, and Jessica Gomes all
added one score in the winning effort.

Cassidy Degraff and Julia Porco both tallied 3 scores, Sarah Jackson
put in 2 goals and Laura Wolf earned a shutout as the Phoenix
blanked R-B 10-0. Emily Cheshire and Emma Henley each scored once
while the defense was paced by Degraff's 11 steals on Friday night.

Nicole McCabe and the Griffins' offense proved too difficult to stop
for Andrew on Friday night as the host claimed an 11-5 win to
advance to Saturday's championship game against LWC. Aoife Burke and
Deanna Koeckritz each tallied 2 scores, Beth Koson scored once, and
Catherine Stouffer made 10 saves in the losing effort.

Cailey Davern recorded 2 goals while Alli Ramirez, Delaney Shepard,
and Kimmie Bernhard each scored once as the Knights fended off LWN
5-3 on Friday night. Cassidy Degraff, Emily Cheshire, and Julia
Porco each scored once in the loss for the Phoenix.

Delaney Shepard and Kimmie Bernhard each scored 3 goals and Nikki
Howe scored once as the Knights beat LWE 7-5 to win the event on
Saturday afternoon.
Lockport 15 Richards 9
Malea Fischer racked up 7 goals to lead the Porters to a 15-9
victory over Richards in the seventh-place game at the LWE
Tournament.

Cassidy Degraff totaled 4 goals and 4 steals while Emma Henley,
Julia Porco, and Sarah Jackson each put in one score in LWN's 9-3
triumph over Andrew. Alexys Knight, Jessica Gomes, and Katie

the losing effort.
