The Wolfpack look to remain undefeated in the Catholic League, but they have their work cut out for them when they have to travel to Wilmette to take on Loyola on Wednesday night.

KEEP AN EYE ON

6:00pm - #1 Fenwick at #26 St Patrick

The top-ranked Friars go on the road to do battle with St Patrick in an MCAC showdown; the Friars remain undefeated in the Catholic League, but the Shamrocks will be ready to give them all they can handle in Chicago on Wednesday.

Another intense Catholic League rivalry is on the cards for Wednesday when Loyola heads to UIC to take on St Ignatius in a matchup with important ramifications on the MCAC standings.

The Trevians continue their Florida training trip with a contest against Florida's eighth-ranked St Andrews on Wednesday night.

Loyola 12 St Ignatius 6

Ben Pasquesi and George Finn both recorded 4 goals as Loyola outscored the Wolfpack 7-2 in the second half to pull away and earn a 12-6 win over St Ignatius. John Reyes led SICP with 3 scores in the loss.

Fenwick 14 St Patrick 6

Danny Farmer scored 4 goals, Tony Perez tallied 3 scores, and both Justin White and Omar Calderon put in 2 goals in Fenwick's 14-6 victory over St Patrick. Filip Wilk, Matt Bresnahan, and Mike Mahoney each chipped in with a goal and netminder Tommy McGuire totaled 9 steals in the Friars' win.

GAME RECAPS (Wednesday, March 27)

Loyola 11 St Ignatius 10

Evan Swenson's goal with twenty seconds left in regulation helped the Ramblers earn a thrilling 11-10 victory over St Ignatius on Wednesday night. Marta Considine scored 6 goals, Swenson scored 4 times, and Emily Barr added one goal as Loyola overcame an early 4-0 deficit to grab the Catholic League win. Ramblers' goalie Meredith O'Brien made 13 saves and assisted Swenson on the final score after making a key save in the final minute.

For the Wolfpack, Diana Fernandez tied the game with just over two minutes left before the Ramblers secured the game-winner. Becky Insalaco scored 4 goals, Maggie Maloney added 3 scores, and both Rebecca Martinez and Tammy Stelnicki scored once in the loss. Meanwhile, goaltender Jenny Stelnicki saved 12 shots and blocked a key penalty shot midway through the final period to give the Wolfpack a chance to win.

Sandburg 11 Lane 7

Cara Hays recorded 4 goals and Brittany Kamper added 3 scores as the Eagles defeated Lane 11-7 in a nonconference affair in Orland Park on Wednesday. The hosts pulled out to a 4-1 lead and never looked back in gaining their seventh win of the season. Carmen Savolanian tallied 5 scores in the loss for the Indians.
