Lyons 12 Sandburg 4

The Lions quickly bounced back from a loss to Stagg on Wednesday as they knocked off Sandburg 12-4 on Thursday night. Sam Szczepaniak led the LT offense with 6 scores while George Lundgren notched 3 goals in the win. Alex Serrano scored 2 times in the loss for the Eagles.

Jones-Payton 11 Argo 4

Steven Fitzgerald netted 4 goals to lead the Eagles to an 11-4 win over Argo.

 

Morgan Park 20 Julian 13

Christian Cooper tallied 9 scores and Richard Rhoden added 3 goals in the Mustangs' 20-13 victory over Julian in a CPS contest.

 

Naperville North 12 Waubonsie Valley 8

The Huskies went on the road to earn their second win of the week, downing Waubonsie Valley 12-8 in Aurora on Thursday. No statistics available for the victors. Cameron Steele led the Warriors attack with 7 goals in the loss.

 

St Ignatius 9 DLS 8

Andreas Christy and Shane Hughes each registered 4 goals and Sam Enger totaled 8 saves and 5 steals as the Wolfpack fended off DLS 9-8 on Thursday. Theo Mossman added one score in the win for SICP.

 

STC East 7 STC North 6 (OT)

Andrew Roberge scored the game-winning goal in overtime to send the Saints past the North Stars 7-6 in a rivalry game thriller. Roberge led all scorers with 4 goals in the win.

Sandburg 10 Lyons 5

The Eagles delivered a strong message in beating fifth-ranked Lyons 10-5 on Thursday night in Orland Park. Stephanie Pappas recorded 4 goals, Clare Lawlor scored 3 times, and Morgan Bartelment stopped 10 shots in the win for Sandburg. Sarah Dolitsky added 2 goals and Katie Flaherty notched one score in the winning effort. Julia Cohen netted 3 goals and both Emma Hirt and Erin Yang scored once to lead the Lions' offensive attack. Jessie Wittenberg and Maddie Janik combined to stop 8 shots in the losing effort.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Glenbrook North 19 Libertyville 4

Lindsay Fraser racked up 7 goals, Patricia Doolan scored 5 times, and Shari Markowitz made 10 saves as the Spartans defeated Libertyville 19-4. Colleen Doolan and Lauren Sulkowski both notched 3 scores and Patti Grod put in one goal in the win. Sarah Durning tallied 3 scores and Hannah Mendralla totaled one score in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Jones-Payton 13 Argo 3

Meredith Lohman scored 5 goals, Marlee Nork put in 4 goals, and Mara Hoplamazian netted 3 goals as the Lady Eagles knocked off Argo 13-3. Nicole Culver chipped in with one score in the win for the hosts.

 

Naperville North 14 Waubonsie Valley 6

Jilian Eiken and Katie Horn both registered 4 goals and Alli Horn netted 2 scores as the Huskies earned a 14-6 home win over Waubonsie Valley. Amber McClure, Caitlin Holzer, Elle Matern, and Meredith Conway each added one goal in the win. Kimela Srey tallied 3 scores and the trio of Sarah Anderson, Peyton Bade and Maria Campbell each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Northside 15 Deerfield 6

Jessica Skipper scored 6 goals, Marti Hale registered 4 scores, and both Ana Lee Pokrzywa and Morgan Nicholson scored 2 goals to lead the Mustangs past Deerfield 15-6. Fallon Konow totaled 10 saves and 4 steals as well for the victors. Katherine Rogers scored 5 goals in the loss for the Warriors.

 

STC North 13 STC East 4

Katie Difiglio scored 5 goals and Monica Guyett slotted home 4 scores as the North Stars beat the Saints 13-4 on Thursday. Brittany Veto and Katie Quinn each added 2 goals while Difiglio led the defense with 5 steals in front of goalie Claire Rich, who allowed only 4 goals. Lexy Kos scored all 4 goals in the loss for the Saints.
