MATCH OF THE DAY
Naperville North 11 Lockport 9
The Huskies came from behind after trailing 4-3 late in the first half
to earn an 11-9 victory over Lockport on Tuesday in Naperville. The
hosts built a 10-7 advantage late in the second half before the Porters
cut the lead to 10-9 with two straight goals. However, the Huskies added
a goal in the final minute to seal the win. Stats for the victors coming
soon. Zach Elias scored 5 goals and added 2 assists, both Joey Tomczuk
and Steve Howell scored 2 times, and Pat Melaniphy blocked 13 shots in
the loss for Lockport.
OTHER KEY GAMES
Andrew 12 Bremen 8
Eric Villasenor scored 4 goals, Matt Bobber notched 3 scores, and Nick
Cavato made 10 steals as Andrew defeated Bremen 12-8. Kyle Lynch added 2
scores and both Brett Hofer and Lance Gacek scored once in the win.
Bradley 11 Shepard 2
Carlos Leal scored 5 goals, Angelo Dalde contributed 5 assists, and
Jacob LaMore totaled 14 saves as the Boilers defeated Shepard 11-2 in a
nonconference game.
Neuqua Valley 12 Hinsdale Central 3
Joey Delesandro and Simon Shatinsky both notched 4 scores and Austin
Mollway made 11 saves to lead the Wildcats past Hinsdale Central 12-3.
Scott DePuy added 2 goals in the win for NVHS.
Sandburg 8 St Rita 7
Majd Ibrahim scored 3 goals, Jimmy Foley and Mitch Zieler each tallied 2
scores, and Nick Jackson saved 15 shots as the Eagles fended off St Rita
8-7. Eric Johnson recorded 3 goals and Matt Lopez put in 2 goals in the
loss for the Mustangs.
STC East 21 Maine East 8
Dustin Differding poured in 7 goals, Andrew Roberge netted 5 scores, and
Ethan Braham tallied 4 scores in the Saints' 21-8 victory over Maine
East. John Ortlund and Kyle Chapko both added 2 goals in the win for
STCE. Mateo Kozomora and Tyler Vonderheide combined to score 7 goals in
the loss for Maine East.
STC North 7 Hinsdale South 3
Chris Stanek recorded 3 goals, Ryan Helfers netted 2 scores, and Garrett
Allamian made 10 saves as the North Stars knocked off Hinsdale South
7-3. Jack Williams and John Gallee each added one score in the winning
effort.

MATCH OF THE DAY
Stevenson 14 Fenwick 5
Allison Travetto recorded 9 goals and Melissa Gartenberg (8 steals, 7
assists) added 3 scores as the Patriots jumped out to a 7-2 halftime
lead en route to a 14-5 victory over Fenwick. Annika Hotchkiss and
Claire Haas each added one goal and Lauren Burns made 14 saves in the
win for the hosts. Catie Wallace recorded 2 goals and the trio of Kelly
Frumkin, Lauren Poland and Molly McGuire each scored once in the loss
for the Friars.
OTHER KEY GAMES
Homewood-Flossmoor 6 Lincoln-Way East 5
Amber Barney connected on the game-winning goal with 1:34 left in
regulation to send the Vikings past Lincoln-Way East 6-5 in a
SouthWest Surburban Conference fixture. Barney registered 3 goals,
Alexis Andersom scored 2 times, and Rebecca Tanner made 13 saves in
the win for the hosts. Meanwhile, Nicole McCabe and Teresa
DiGiovanni both scored 2 times and Brennah Hasty stopped 7 shots for
the Griffins. Abby Olivieri also scored once and made 5 steals in
the losing effort.
The Griffins held a 4-3 advantage heading into the final period, but
the Vikings' Brooke Butler tied things at 4-4 early in the fourth
quarter. McCabe put the Griffins back on top 5-4 with a powerplay
goal, but Anderson scored the equalizer with just under two minutes
to play before Barney provided the heroics with her game-winning
shot. The Griffins' were held scoreless in the final two minutes as
H-F held on for the one-goal victory.
Evanston 14 Deerfield 1
Millie Rosen scored 4 goals, Becca Schumm and Edie Block each netted
3 scores, and Olivia Everhart and the Wildkits' defense allowed one
goal in a 14-1 decision over Deerfield. Giselle Figueroa, Lexa
Deamont, Stephanie Sheikh and Sydney Bernadel each added one score
in the win for ETHS.
STC North 14 Hinsdale South 2
Katie Difiglio racked up 7 goals and Katie Quinn totaled 3 scores
and 9 steals as the North Stars earned a 14-2 home win over Hinsdale
South. Brittany Veto added 2 goals and both Katie Steele and Sarah
Gibson scored once in the winning effort.
