Day 1 Recap: Latin and Loyola
Square Off For Shot At Missouri's #1 Team
Missouri's top-ranked team
(SLUH) beat Lyons on a last-second shot and cruised past the host Dukes to
advance to the York Tournament title game. They will meet the winner of
Saturday morning's game between Latin and Loyola. Meanwhile, Lyons will
face York to determine who will play in the third-place game, while
Lincoln-Way Central will take on the losing team in the fifth-place game.
Day 2 Recap: SLUH Fights Off Loyola To Win York Tournament
The top-ranked team in
Missouri went 3-0 at the York Tournament, edging both Loyola and Lyons by
one goal and beating the hosts by a double-digit margin to claim the
event's title. Lyons won the third-place game with a 15-6 triumph over
Latin, while the host Dukes topped LWC 16-5 in the fifth place game.

The Lions fell victim to a
last-second game-winning shot from Missouri's top-ranked team on Friday at
the York Tournament, losing 12-11 in heartbreaking fashion. Sam Erlinger
scored with the game clock winding down for the Jr. Billikens, who
overcame an 8-6 halftime deficit to earn the win. Joe Shannon led LT with
6 goals in the loss.
Loyola 16 Lincoln-Way Central

Charlie Dowdle and Jack
Buehler each scored 3 goals and Tim Netzel added 2 scores as Loyola used a
balanced offensive attack to beat LWC 16-2 in their tournament opener at
York on Friday night. The Ramblers take on Latin in a 9:00am contest to
determine who meets SLUH in the tournament's title game.

the event with a perfect (3-0) record. Brendan Hulseman, Charlie
Dowdle, Jordan Hodur, and Tim Netzel each scored 2 times in the loss
