The Redhawks remained perfect (10-0) in 2016 and earned their second win of the season over their rivals after beating Naperville North 16-3 on Tuesday. Kyle Jackson recorded 5 goals, Nick Walker and Nolan Vaughn each scored 3 times and Kent Emden made 7 saves and dished out 4 assists in the win. Eric Stablein also scored 2 goals while the trio of Lucas Nervig, Philip Emden and Scott Piper each scored once for Central.

Andrew 11 Bremen 9

The T-Bolts improved to 3-1 in 2016 after earning an 11-9 home victory over Bremen on Tuesday. Kevin Duffy scored 4 goals, Jake Gillund notched 3 scores and David Sauerman scored 2 times in the loss for the visitors. Chris Valdares also made 10 saves in the losing effort.

 

Hinsdale South 8 STC North 7

The Hornets outscored STC North 6-3 in the second half to overcome a 4-2 deficit at halftime to earn an 8-7 win over the North Stars. Stats were not available for HSHS. Nathan Bawolek tallied 3 scores, Sam Lilly connected on 2 shots and Garrett Allamian made 8 saves in the losing cause. John Quinn and Zach Smith also scored one goal apiece for North.

 

Maine South 14 Deerfield 9

Sean Gardiner totaled 6 goals, Conor Brosnan and Marko Bogicevic each scored 3 times and Marco Pillolla stopped 7 shots and allowed 6 goals in the Hawks' 14-9 win over Deerfield. Jake Rink and Will Olafsson each added one goal for the victors. Micah Wesselhoff scored 5 goals, Max Libman put in 3 scores and Brent Bouslog netted one score in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Metea Valley 13 Waubonsie Valley 8

Keegan Reilly scored 7 goals and Max Chamberlin totaled 3 goals and 3 assists as the Mustangs jumped out to a 7-1 lead en route to a 13-8 victory over the Warriors. Wyatt Tiscareno led Waubonsie Valley with 5 goals, Jon McWhirter scored 3 times and Spencer Weiland made 11 saves in the losing effort.

 

Neuqua Valley 14 Hinsdale Central 10

Joey Dalesandro totaled 5 goals and 4 steals, Troy Salafatinos netted 4 scores and both Adam McGovern and Jack Hiss each tallied 2 scores in the Wildcats' 14-10 win over Hinsdale Central. Zack Dilger also put in one goal for NVHS.

 

Oak Park 11 Riverside-Brookfield 4

Lawrence Cozzi, Thomas Cozzi and Thomas Wolfe each scored 2 times to help the Huskies earn an 11-4 win over R-B on Tuesday night.

 

STC East 12 Maine East 4

Andrew Roberge notched 8 scores and John Tarpey tallied 2 scores as the Saints topped Maine East 12-4. Charlie Young and Tanner Schisler each added one score in the winning effort. Evan Learnahan and Josh Espinoza both scored 2 times in the loss for the Blue Demons.

Naperville Central 12 Naperville North 3

Emily Westlove and Kaela Codo each registered 4 goals and Faith Vandercar made 7 saves as Central built a 9-1 lead by the second half before emerging with a 12-3 victory over Naperville North. Emily Rodgers led the defense with 7 steals and added a goal while the trio of Alli Hansen, Angie Benton and Anne Marie Gunn each scored once for the winners. Caitlin Holzer, Isabelle Rocco and Olivia Tsao each scored once in the loss for the Huskies.

 

 

MATCH OF THE DAY II

Stevenson 12 Fenwick 6

Eileen Hoang and the Stevenson defense helped limit the visiting Friars to six goals as the Patriots earned a 12-6 victory over Fenwick in a state semifinal rematch from 2015. Allison Travetto led the Stevenson offense with 7 goals, Claire Haas scored 4 times and Lauren Burns made 19 saves for the victors. Harper Daniels scored 2 times while Catie Wallace, Eryn Kulik, Kelsey Sullivan and Shannon Forst each added one goal for the Friars. Anna Sullivan also made 11 saves in the losing effort for Fenwick.

Bremen 12 Andrew 2

Jillian Schultz recorded 4 scores while Brittany Lira, Faith Alfrejd and Leah Wood each added 2 scores in the Red Jaguars' 12-2 win over Andrew. Alexys Knight and Cailey Pietrzyk each scored once and Olivia Kasper blocked 5 shots in the losing effort.

 

Evanston 12 Deerfield 1

Becca Schumm scored 3 goals and Olivia Everhart stopped 8 shots and allowed one goal as the Wildkits defeated Deerfield 12-1. Lauren Hays, Riley Hughes and Stephanie Sheikh each added 2 goals while Christina Schumm, Giselle Figueroa and Maddie Schumm all tallied one score in the win.

 

Neuqua Valley 11 Hinsdale Central 5

Zoe Salafatinos totaled 4 goals and 3 steals and Issi French made 15 saves in the Wildcats' 11-5 triumph over Hinsdale Central. Gabby Koopmann tallied 3 scores, Heather Sterchele scored 2 times and both Alex VanCleave and Catherine Carroll scored once in the win. Amy Blencowe also dished out 3 assists for the winners.

 

Richards 11 Bradley 9

Natalie Fadden and Sarah Coffman each scored 3 times while Karina Kachowski and Sinead Soltis both put in 2 goals in the Lady Muttdogs' 11-9 win over Bradley. Marley Weist and Unis Agelybogule teamed up to earn the win in goal for the winners.

 

STC North 13 Hinsdale South 1

Brittany Veto scored 4 goals, Monica Guyett and Sarah Gibson both totaled 3 goals and 5 steals and Emmy Feddor recorded 2 goals in the North Stars 13-1 victory over Hinsdale South. Beth Ann Ellingson added one score, Claire Rich made 4 saves and Guyett totaled 6 assists in the win.

 

Waubonsie Valley 9 Metea Valley 8 (3 OT)

Maria Campbell connected on the game-winning goal in sudden death overtime to send the Warriors past Metea Valley 9-8 on Tuesday. Kimela Srey scored 3 times and both Campbell and Alex Triko scored 2 goals apiece in the thrilling win. Nicole Conway also blocked 21 shots for the winners. Alex Cerra led the Mustangs' offense with 4 scores while Pricila Olivas netted 2 goals and Jocelyn Lent stopped 14 shots in the loss. Allie Ruden and Gabby DuVal also scored one goal each for Metea Valley.
