Gena Wendt scored the
game-winning goal with 1:22 remaining and Fenwick added another goal in
the final minute as they held off Stevenson 11-9 in Lincolnshire on
Tuesday night. The Friars put together a 4-0 run in the early part of the
second half to take a 9-5 lead, but the Patriots fought back with a 4-0
run of their own to tie the game at 9-9 with 1:38 left to play.
Alexa Ovalle tallied 4 goals and
Wendt added 3 scores to lead the Friars, while Cara Borkovec and Maggie
Carey added 2 scores apiece in the win. Cheyenne Montijo led Stevenson
