The Vikings claimed a third place finish in their group after beating Oak Park 8-7. Stats for the victors coming soon. Meanwhile, Leo Manola scored 3 goals, Thomas Wolfe put in 2 scores and Kevin Obrecht made 8 saves in the narrow loss.

 

Naperville Central 15 Neuqua Valley 1

Kyle Jackson, Nick Walker and Matt Reagan all scored 3 times and Kent Emden made 10 saves as the Redhawks defeated Neuqua Valley 15-1. Nolan Vaughn added 2 scores while Eric Stablein, Kyle Mallen and Phillip Emden each scored once for Central.

Matt Hoban connected on the game-winning goal to send the hosts past St Ignatius 12-11 on Saturday. Chez Daggs led the Friars with 4 scores and both Mickey McGuire and Ramses Flores scored 2 times in the winning effort.

Matt Magee tallied 3 goals, Jon Jon Pettinger scored 2 times and both Charlie Calvo and Chris Popiolek scored once as the Huskies beat Curie 7-4.

Bryan McNitt totaled 5 goals and Mason Maze netted 2 scores as the Griffins got past the Vikings 9-6.

 

Oak Park 11 Brother Rice 9

Lawrence Cozzi racked up 5 scores, Daniel Franklin notched 2 scores and Kevin Obrecht made 12 saves as the Huskies ended the day with an 11-9 win over Brother Rice.

George Lundgren and Sam Szczepaniak each scored 4 times as the Lions defeated Neuqua Valley 17-3 to claim second place at the Dan Lynch Tournament.

Nick Walker recorded 7 goals as the Redhawks knocked off Stevenson 8-4 to win the Fenwick Tournament on Saturday night. Kyle Jackson added one goal and Kent Emden made 17 saves in the victory.

Glenbrook South 14 Parkway Central 7

Peter Dales recorded 6 goals and Richard Poma tallied 4 scores in the Titans' 14-7 victory over Parkway Central.

 

Glenbrook South 14 Evanston 3

Peter Dales tallied 6 goals and Brendan Chang scored 3 times as the Titans beat Evanston 14-3. Brian Johnson made 9 saves in the winning effort for GBS.

 

Glenbrook South 13 Glenbrook North 6

Richard Poma totaled 5 goals and Peter Dales netted 3 scores as the Titans beat GBN 13-6 to win the Evanston Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

 

 

HINSDALE SOUTH TOURNAMENT

STC East 10 Andrew 2

Andrew Roberge and Ethan Braham each netted 3 scores and Kyle Chapko put in 2 scores in the Saints' 10-2 victory over Andrew. Jack Sweeney and Tanner Schisler each added one score for the victors. Brett Hofer notched both scores in the loss for the T-Bolts.

 

STC East 15 Prospect 7

Kyle Chapko registered 5 goals and Andrew Roberge scored 4 times as the Saints topped Prospect 15-7. Asher Ginnodo and Isaac Ginnodo both scored 3 goals in the loss for the Knights.

 

Hinsdale South 7 STC East 6

Danny Savage scored 4 goals and Haddy Khatib netted 2 scores as the Hornets beat STC East 7-6 to win their own event. Ryan Kirin also scored once in the win. Andrew Roberge, Jack Sweeney and John Ortlund each scored 2 times in the loss for the Saints.

Lincoln-Way North 10 DeSmet 7

Jason Parkinson and Luke McGuire each scored 2 goals to help the Phoenix rise over DeSmet 10-7. Ian Normile scored 5 times in the loss for DeSmet.

 

Oakville 14 Waubonsie Valley 5

Jared Wahl scored 5 goals to lead Oakville past Waubonsie Valley 14-5. Jon McWhirter led the Warriors with 2 scores in the loss.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 8 STC North 2

Dylan Sterling and Matt Klock both registered 3 scores and Cody Torres and Cody Kolbus both added one score in the Knights' 8-2 win over the North Stars. Jack Williams and Sam Lilly each tallied 2 scores and Garrett Allamian made 8 saves in the loss.

 

Lincoln-Way North 19 Waubonsie Valley 5

John Quinn notched 6 scores, Nathan Bawolek scored 4 times and Stephen Hutchinson tallied 3 scores as the North Stars beat DeSmet 16-7. Jack Williams, Sam Kalenowski and Sam Lilly all scored once while Garrett Allamian made 6 saves in the win. Ian Normile scored 4 times in the loss for DeSmet.

 

Lincoln-Way North 12 STC North 5

The Phoenix earned a 12-5 victory over STC North to improve to 3-0 at their own event. Sam Lilly scored 2 goals, the trio of John Quinn, Kieran Murphy and Nathan Bawolek each scored once and Garrett Allamian made 12 saves for the North Stars.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 13 DeSmet 2

Cody Torres scored 7 goals to lead the Knights past DeSmet 13-2 as Central finished the event with a perfect record (4-0). Ian Normile scored 2 times in the loss for DeSmet.

 

 

MAINE EAST TOURNAMENT

Metea Valley 12 Deerfield 9

Matt Flanders scored 3 goals and Riley Byrne stopped 7 shots as Metea Valley beat Deerfield 12-9.

 

 

MUNDELEIN TOURNAMENT

Lockport 6 Libertyville 6

Ian Greenway scored 3 goals and the trio of Eric Krawczyk, Jacob Sweis and Matt Zajac each scored one goal as Lockport and Libertyville finished in a 6-6 tie. Stats were unavailable for the Wildcats.

 

New Trier 12 Hinsdale Central 4

Charlie Ryan and Henry Yavitt both scored 3 goals and Danilo Scekic tallied 2 scores in the Trevians' 12-4 win over Hinsdale Central. Alex Holme, Michael Krueger, Patrick Drake and Sam Yavitt each added one score for the victors.

 

Mundelein 13 Niles West 7

Nick Oleinik totaled 5 goals and 4 steals and Jeremiah Lam made 9 saves as the Mustangs got past Niles West 13-7 on Saturday.

 

Niles West 15 Libertyville 5

Adrian Durakovic scored 5 goals to lead the Wolves past Libertyville in the fifth-place game of the event.

 

New Trier 9 Mundelein 5

Will Kohr tallied 4 scores, Michael Krueger netted 2 scores and Charlie Ryan, Danilo Scekic, Henry Yavitt and Mason McQuet each scored once as New Trier beat Mundelein 9-5 to win the tournament.

 

 

SCHAUMBURG TOURNAMENT

Wheeling 14 York 12

Nate Reiff scored 8 goals and Nik Businski added 4 scores in the Wildcats' 14-12 comeback victory over York. Danny Stumpf scored 4 times and Nik Miklyukh added 3 scores in the loss for the Dukes.

 

McHenry 15 Lafayette 6

Kevin Braun scored 8 goals and Jackson Smith netted 4 scores as McHenry defeated Lafayette 15-6.

 

York 16 Schaumburg 2

Tim Evely scored 5 goals and both Danny Stumpf and John Blum scored 3 times as the Dukes beat the Saxons 16-2. Matt Soltau and Tyler Gustafson each scored once in the loss for the hosts.

 

Wheeling 14 St Rita 8

Nate Reiff and Nik Businski both scored 5 goals to lead Wheeling past St Rita 14-8. Ethan Johnson, Joe Qualter and Lorenzo Henrichs each scored 2 times in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Young 12 Lafayette 10

Duncan McDonald poured in 10 goals to lead the Dolphins to a 12-10 win over Lafayette. Josh Alwood scored 4 times in the loss for the Lancers.

 

Lincoln-Way West 12 McHenry 11

Jake Carlson scored 9 goals and Kyle Karpluk netted 2 scores in the Warriors' 12-11 win over McHenry. Kevin Braun tallied 6 goals while Jackson Smith and Josh Frost both scored 2 times in the loss.

 

Lafayette 13 St Rita 10

Matt Graves recorded 6 goals as Lafayette defeated St Rita 13-10 on Saturday. Ethan Johnson tallied 3 scores in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Whitney Young 13 Schaumburg 8

Duncan McDonald scored 7 goals to help lift the Dolphins over Schaumburg 13-8. Tyler Gustafson scored 5 goals in the loss for the Saxons.

 

York 11 McHenry 6

Tim Evely scored 4 times, Danny Stumpf put in 3 scores and Alex Marlott scored 2 times as York topped McHenry 11-6. Kevin Braun led the Warriors with 5 goals in the loss.

 

Lincoln-Way West 11 Wheeling 10

Jake Carlson scored 4 goals to help the Warriors fend off Wheeling 11-10 as they won the Schaumburg Tournament title on Saturday. Jake Noel led the Wildcats with 5 goals in the loss.

 


 

 

 

BREMEN TOURNAMENT

Lockport 13 Argo 3

Mariah Dicksen totaled 17 saves and 4 assists as the Porters knocked off Argo 13-3 on Saturday.

 

Bremen 10 Richards 3

Jillian Schultz totaled 4 goals, Ashley Siedschlag and Brittany Lira both scores 2 goals and Andie Stonach made 7 saves in the Red Jaguars' 10-3 win over Richards. Elizabeth Minnich and Leah Wood both made 4 steals as well to lead the defensive effort.

 

Lockport 14 Hinsdale South 1

Mariah Dicksen made 14 saves and came one second short of a shutout as Lockport defeated Hinsdale South 14-1 in the fifth-place game of the O'Bremen Tournament.

 

Bremen 13 Stagg 2

Brittany Lira scored 6 times and Elizabeth Minnich totaled 10 steals and 3 assists as the hosts beat Stagg 13-2 to win their own event on Saturday. Ashley Siedschlag also scored 2 goals in the winning effort.

 

 

GLENBROOK SOUTH TOURNAMENT

Glenbrook South 5 Palatine 2

Kelly Klish registered 3 scores to help the hosts get past Palatine 5-2 on Saturday morning. Kiki Herbst and Mathilde Mogensen each scored once in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Palatine 6 Hersey 6

Mathilde Mogensen scored 3 goals, the trio of Ashley Helminski, Jasmina Mesic and Kelsey Hank scored one goal apiece and Megan Woell made 10 saves as Palatine and Hersey battled to a 6-6 draw. Katie Lindgren tallied 4 scores in the tie for the Huskies.

 

Palatine 10 Elk Grove 5

Ashley Helminski and Hannah Jozefat each tallied 3 scores and Mathilde Mogensen added 2 goals to help the Pirates get past Elk Grove 10-5. Jasmina Mesic and Kelsey Hank each added one score while Megan Woell made 5 saves in the win. Lilly Lawrin scored 3 times and Kaylee Hatfield added 2 scores for EGHS.

 

 

JONES-PAYTON TOURNAMENT

Jones-Payton 15 Lincoln Park 4

Meredith Lohman and Holly Beith-Mangrum both scored 3 goals to help the hosts earn a 15-4 win over Lincoln Park. Grace Kelly, Lindsay Opie and Sasha Milsky each scored 2 times in the winning effort.

 

Niles West 16 Jones-Payton B 0

Katrina Nickell scored 5 times to lead the Wolves to a 16-0 shutout victory over Jones-Payton B.

 

Jones-Payton 14 Lockport 2

Meredith Lohman poured in 7 goals to lead the hosts past Lockport 14-2. Grace Kelly and Nayeli Reyna both added 2 goals in the win for the Lady Eagles.

 

Niles West 19 Lincoln Park 3

Lauren Patt registered 6 goals and Katrina Nickell put in 4 scores as the Wolves beat Lincoln Park 19-3 to advance to the event's title game.

 

Jones-Payton 9 Niles West 5

Haley Gibbs recorded 4 goals while Dallas Broderson and Lindsay Opie each netted 2 scores as the Lady Eagles beat Niles West to win their own tournament. Lauren Patt tallied 2 scores in the losing effort.

 

 

MAINE SOUTH TOURNAMENT

Highland Park 15 Bradley 9

Emma Gelberg scored 7 times and Natalie Gelberg added 4 goals in the Lady Giants' 15-9 victory over Bradley. Breanna Haak, Carli Fox, Danni Cole and Molly Solem all scored once for the winners.

 

Highland Park 12 Libertyville 5

Emma Gelberg notched 5 scores, Arianne Cole scored 3 times and Natalie Gelberg tallied 2 scores as the Lady Giants earned a 12-5 victory over Libertyville. Noa Cole and Sophie Friedland also scored once in the winning effort.

 

Highland Park 9 STC East 3

Emma Gelberg and Natalie Gelberg each scored 3 times to lead HP past STC East 9-3. Arianne Cole, Danni Cole and Noa Cole each added one score for the victors.

 

Highland Park 12 Maine East 2

Natalie Gelberg racked up 4 scores, Molly Solem netted 3 scores and Emma Gelberg scored 2 times as the Lady Giants beat Maine East 12-2 to win the Maine South Tournament. Arianne Cole, Carli Fox and Danni Cole all scored once for the winners.

 

 

NAPERVILLE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT

New Trier 7 York 6

Lauren Barrett and Sarah Caywood each scored 3 goals to help New Trier hold off York 7-6. Amalia Siavelis, Grace Achepohl, Maria Rantis, Mary Phelps and Maggie Schlecht each scored once in the loss for the Dukes.

 

Mother McAuley 6 Naperville Central 2

Paulina Correa registered 5 goals and Maggie Hennigan scored once as the Mighty Macs earned a 6-2 win over Naperville Central. Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove both scored 2 times in the losing effort.

 

New Trier 11 Mundelein 2

Sarah Caywood tallied 4 scores and the trio of Emma Valdiserri, Isabelle Riggio and Lauren Barrett each scored 2 goals as New Trier beat Mundelein 11-2. Abbie Lukas recorded both goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Mother McAuley 6 Saline 3

Frances Bauer and Jill Mueller both scored 2 goals while Annie Kelly and Maggie Hennigan both scored one goal in the Mighty Macs' 6-3 win over Saline. Cassie Anderson, Gillian Gatecliff and Sam Fitch each put in one goal in the loss for the Michigan-based squad.

 

St Ignatius 13 Mundelein 1

Tara White poured in 6 goals, Stephania Lopez netted 3 scores and Diana Fernandez put in 2 goals as the Wolfpack beat Mundelein 13-1. Josselin Rodriguez scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

Claire Mueller scored 4 goals and both Jill Mueller and Maggie Hennigan scored 2 times in the Mighty Macs' 11-4 victory over H-F. Annie Kelly, Chloe Ryan and Molly O'Connell each added one score for the winners. Kalyn Wright notched 2 scores while Alexis Anderson and Brooke Pair both scored once in the loss.

 

St Ignatius 9 New Trier 6

Tara White registered 4 scores and both Briana Gist and Diana Fernandez scored 2 times as the Wolfpack fended off New Trier 9-6. Jenny Stelnicki blocked a late-game breakaway attempt to keep Ignatius ahead by a goal late in the final period before the Wolfpack added two more goals. Lauren Barrett tallied 3 goals and Sarah Caywood notched 2 scores in the loss for the Trevians.

 

Mundelein 6 Homewood-Flossmoor 5

Abbie Lukas scored the game-winning goal in the final minute and the Mustangs held on to edge H-F 6-5 on Saturday. Lukas, Carolyn Westgate, Ella Krauss, Jessica Peterson and Lucy Renz each scored once in the win. Alexis Anderson scored 3 times and both Brooke Pair and Emily Mathews scored once in the loss.

 

York 7 Saline 6 (2 OT)

Carli York scored the game-winning goal in sudden-death overtime to send York past Saline 7-6. Grace Achepohl scored 3 times in the win for the Dukes. Cassie Anderson and Gillian Gatecliff both scored 2 goals in the loss for the Hornets.

 

Naperville Central 13 New Trier 4

Kaela Codo recorded 4 goals and Emily Westlove scored 3 times as the hosts beat New Trier 13-4. Alli Hansen and Rylee Brower each scored 2 times while Anne Marie Gunn and Jennifer Oliver both scored once in the win. Lauren Barrett scored 2 goals in the loss for the Trevians.

 

St Ignatius 9 Mother McAuley 2

Nina Mantich registered 3 scores while the trio of Diana Fernandez, Stephania Lopez and Tara White each scored 2 times as the Wolfpack beat Mother McAuley 9-2 to win the Naperville Central Tournament. Jill Mueller and Frances Bauer each scored once in the loss for the Mighty Macs.

 

 

NAPERVILLE NORTH TOURNAMENT

Fenwick 9 Naperville North 6

Catie Wallace, Kate Mackie and Kelly Frumkin each scored 2 goals as the Friars earned a 9-6 win over Naperville North. Millie Sheean, Molly McGuire and Shannon Forst each added one goal in the win. Katie Horn and Olivia Eiken each netted 2 goals while Caitlin Holzer and Kelsey Ryan each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Neuqua Valley 9 Fenwick 7

Zoe Salafatinos scored 3 goals and Catherine Carroll added 2 scores as Neuqua Valley defeated Fenwick 9-7 on Saturday morning. Issi French made 5 saves while Alex VanCleave, Gabby Koopmann, Julia Stege  and Heather Sterchele each scored once in the win. Catie Wallace and Kelly Frumkin each put in 2 goals in the loss for the Friars.

 

Naperville North 7 Neuqua Valley 4

Katie Horn registered 5 goals and both Caitlin Holzer and Isabelle Rocco scored once in the Huskies' 7-4 triumph over Neuqua Valley. Heather Sterchele scored 2 times, Alex VanCleave and Zoe Salafatinos both put in one score and Issi French made 10 saves for the Wildcats.

 

 

STC NORTH TOURNAMENT

STC North 4 Buffalo Grove 2

Brittany Veto scored 2 goals and both Emmy Feddor and Sarah Gibson scored once as the North Stars opened their own event with a 4-2 victory over Buffalo Grove. Veto and Gibson each totaled 5 steals to lead the defense in the win.

 

STC North 15 Andrew 2

Sarah Gibson poured in 5 goals while Beth Ann Ellingson, Emmy Feddor, Hannah Springer and Brittany Veto each scored 2 times in the North Stars' 15-2 triumph over Andrew.

 

STC North 9 Maine West 2

Sarah Gibson netted 4 goals, Emmy Feddor scored 2 times and Claire Rich stopped 5 shots as STC North won their own event after beating Maine West 9-2. Brittany Veto and Hannah Turner each tallied one score as well for the winners.

 

 

R-B TOURNAMENT

St Viator 14 Taft 7

Megan Drake and Paige Laskiewicz each scored 5 goals to lead the Lions past Taft 14-7 as the winners claimed their first win of the 2016 season. Cat Ayala, Mackenzie Ryndak, Ritarose Battin and Zoe Green each tallied one score in the win for the Lions.

 

 

WHITNEY YOUNG TOURNAMENT

Lyons 14 Whitney Young 4

Kaysie Stuba totaled 4 goals and 4 assists while Hanna Good, Megan Kotil and Victoria Guevara each put in 2 scores in the Lions' 14-4 win over Young.

 

Oak Park 11 DLS 5

Genevieve Curry poured in 7 goals and Tamsen Cronin registered 2 scores as the Huskies beat DLS 11-5. Kate Kennedy-Wood and Kathryn Reader each scored once while Kaitlyn Peterson made 6 saves in the victory.

Kaysie Stuba scored 4 goals, Annika Moore scored once and Madie Janik stopped 9 shots as Lyons beat Waubonsie Valley 5-1.

Giselle Figueroa tallied 3 scores, Emily Mohrenweiser notched 2 scores and Olivia Everhart made 12 saves in the Wildkits' 12-0 shutout of DLS.

 

DLS 10 Whitney Young 4

Leticia Bradsfield and Jazmin Garcia both scored 4 goals and Antoinette Musco added 2 scores to help the Meteors beat the hosts in the event's fifth-place game. Sarah Engemann led the Dolphins with 2 goals

 

Evanston 5 Waubonsie 0

Becca Schumm scores 2 goals and Olivia Everhart made 8 saves and earned a shutout as Evanston got past Waubonsie Valley 5-0 in the third place game of the event. Emma Stein, Riley Hughes and Stephanie Sheikh each added one goal in the win.

Jilly Cronin totaled 6 goals, Genevieve Curry added 4 scores and Kaitlyn Peterson made 6 saves as the Huskies topped Lyons 11-2 to win the Whitney Young Tournament. Kaysie Stuba and Victoria Guevara each scored once and Madie Janik made 11 saves in the losing effort.
