STC NORTH TOURNAMENT
Buffalo Grove Edges Andrew To
Win STC North Tournament
Julie Pater and Sara Fasching
combined to score 5 goals in a 7-5 win over Andrew to claim the STC North
Tournament title on Saturday. Pater led BG with 15 goals during the
three-game set. The Bison also knocked off Lake Forest and
Maine West on the day before limiting to T-Bolts to just five goals in the

Mallory Hecht and Sarah Stern
both tallied 3 scores as the hosts earned a 10-2 tournament-opening
victory over Hoffman. Claire Bultema also scored 2 times for the winners.
Buffalo
Grove 13 Maine West 5
Julie Pater scored 5 goals and
Sara Fasching added 3 scores to lead BG to a 13-5 win over Maine West.
Andrew 4 STC
North 3
Megan Hofer scored the
game-winning goal with :42 left in regulation as Andrew beat the hosts 4-3
to earn an eventual spot in the tournament's title game on Saturday
afternoon. Laura Freeman led the T-Bolts with 2 goals and goalie Jordan
Bartolini came up big in the final quarter, blocking 6 shots and finishing
the game with 12 saves. Sarah Stern led the North Stars with 2 goals in
the loss.
Lake Forest
16 Maine West 3
Emily Nowlin poured in 10
goals as the Scouts tripped up Maine West 16-3 on Saturday in St Charles.
Andrew 8
Hoffman 2
Abigail Wrobel fired in 5
scores and Megan Hofer added 2 goals to help lift Andrew past Hoffman 8-2.
Buffalo
Grove 10 Lake Forest 8
Julie Pater totaled 7 goals
and Sara Fasching added 3 as the Bison knocked off Lake Forest 10-8.
STC North 10
Lake Forest 5 (3rd place)
Claire Bultema recorded 3
goals and both Maddie Jones and Mallory Hecht chipped in with 2 scores as
STC North finished third at their own event after beating Lake Forest
10-5. Emily Nowlin put in 3 goals for the Scouts in the loss.
Buffalo
Grove 7 Andrew 5 (1st place)
Julie Pater scored 3 goals and
Sara Fasching added 2 scores to lead Buffalo Grove to a 7-5 victory over
Andrew in the title game of the STC North Tournament. Abbey Wrobel and
Megan Hofer both scored 2 goals for the T-Bolts, who fell just short of a
tournament crown after two wins earlier in the day.
