Fenwick Remains On Top Against
The State's Best At Own Tourney
Top-ranked Fenwick proved they
are the team to beat in 2012 by emerging from their own tournament
unscathed after several challenges between Thursday and Saturday. The
Friars' strong performance in the title game allowed them to beat #2 Lyons
16-8 at the end of the night on Saturday. The defending champions also

EVANSTON
TOURNAMENT
Glenbrook South, McHenry Draw
Even at Evanston; Titans Claim Tiebreaker
GBS and McHenry both finished
the Evanston Tournament with 4-0-1 records, including a 9-9 tie in their
head-to-head matchup, but the Titans emerged with the title after winning
a tiebreaker. GBS beat GBN, Evanston, Bremen, and St Viator over the
weekend behind 23 goals from JJ Connor and 40 saves from goalie Tom Meyer.
HINSDALE
CENTRAL TOURNAMENT
Lockport
Claims Red Devils Tournament Crown
Dan Oldendorf scored 11 goals,
Zach Trent added 6 scores, and David Hir totaled 5 goals as Lockport
earned wins over Andrew, Hinsdale South, and STC East to win the Hinsdale
Central Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Porters edged Hinsdale South
6-4 in their tournament opener, held off STC East 9-8 with a balanced
offensive attack, then beat Andrew 14-9 in the title game after a 7-goal
performance from Oldendorf.
GIRLS
Lincoln-Way Central 18 Maine
South 8
Brittany Knowlton scored 6
times, Daniejela Jackovich added 5 scores, and Ashley Dhooghe chipped in
with 4 goals as LWC downed Maine South 18-8. Caroline Foglton also made 10
saves in the win for the Knights. Isabella Matczuk led the Hawks with 3
goals in the losing effort.
Lincoln-Way West 9 Schaumburg

Allison Rocha registered 5
goals and Morgan Judge added 2 scores to help LWW beat Schaumburg 9-6.
Rachel Fish led the Saxons with 3 scores in the losing effort.
Palatine 9
Elk Grove 7
Nicole Theis recorded 6 goals
and Nicole Chumbook added 2 scores in Palatine's 9-7 victory over Elk
Grove. The Pirates finished in third place at the GBS Tournament, with
Theis leading the way on offense with 12 goals and Chumbook totaling 21
steals in the three-game set.
NAPERVILLE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT
Redhawks' Stun Fenwick In
Three Overtimes To Win Title
Abbey Kerth connected on a
backhand in sudden death overtime on Saturday to lift NC to a 5-4 win over
defending champion Fenwick. Meanwhile, Fremd edged H-F in overtime 10-9
for third place, McAuley got past Mundelein for fifth place, and
Naperville North defeated Oak Park in the seventh place game. Click the

STC NORTH TOURNAMENT
Buffalo Grove Edges Andrew To
Win STC North Tournament
Julie Pater and Sara Fasching
combined to score 5 goals in a 7-5 win over Andrew to claim the STC North
Tournament title on Saturday. Pater led BG with 15 goals during the
three-game set. The Bison also knocked off Lake Forest and Maine West on
the day before limiting to T-Bolts to just five goals in the title game.
