DeSmet Ends Illinois Visit With LWN Tournament Title
DeSmet ended their visit to Illinois with a perfect record at the LWN Tournament, getting past Waubonsie Valley 12-9 to win the event with three victories. The Warriors got to the title game after wins over St Rita and Oakville before dropping a three-goal decision to the out-of-state visitors. St Charles North took third via tiebreaker after beating Schaumburg and tying with Oakville in the third-place game. Lincoln-Way Central surprised the hosts to win the fifth-place game, while Schaumburg held off St Rita to finish in seventh position.
